FOREVER isn't long enough for this kind of LOVE -- A fantastic end to the series!! YES, I love the Distraction books! Jason and Katarina come full circle in this book. After the heartbreak and misunderstanding that tore them apart in Mister Distraction, Katarina has returned home to her wealthy family and a life of privilege, but that world is hell. For the first time we get to see how she grew up and the horrible abuse she endured. The secrets that money keep safe are awful, but Katarina is strong. She didn't break. She became stronger.
It was incredible to see the depth of her heart. In the midst of power struggles and private wars that might have torn a lesser woman apart, Katarina shines. I felt so proud of her.
When Jason tracks her down and their lives collide again, the passion is HOT HOT HOT. He may be her distraction, but she has become his obsession. Jason proves over and over how much a man can truly love a beautiful woman. He has grown and changed so much since the first book. The man he has become is worthy of a forever love.
I really enjoyed seeing the good compassionate people who protect Katarina. Her world is dangerous, often deadly. When justice comes, it is swift and sure. I loved that her bodyguard, who had been loyal to her grandfather, becomes someone she can count on and trust. Katarina calls him Smith to needle him, but his real name is Owen. He and Jason butt heads, but it only proves how much Owen cares. In the end the strong silent bodyguard proves to be their greatest friend.
If you haven't read the first two books in this series by Stephanie Jean, you should read them NOW. So much heat and sexy love scenes! But it is driven by a love that endures, a love strong enough to change lives. Love conquers even the harshest of enemies. Jason and Katarina deserve a beautiful happily ever after. This is it!
