Would she discover the power of love to be the strongest of all? - A mysterious and dangerously handsome stranger ... - A jaded 17-year-old girl ... - A paranormal world hidden within our own ... 17-year-old Sydney's only interest in life is flying under the radar. But destiny has other plans when the tall, handsome, and unusual Rafael Channing moves into the neighborhood. What starts out as a light-hearted investigation with her gadget-happy foster father takes a serious turn when she discovers that Rafael isn't human. Add Jareth, the country's latest rock sensation, into the mix and Sydney is swept into a mysterious world of Tulpas, the Fae, and the Brotherhood of the Snake. Sydney doesn't know she's a Blue Thread of Fate. She doesn't know the fate of humanity depends on a choice she'll have to make, and she certainly doesn't know she's taken the first step on the unexpected path of love.

Like many of us on this planet, Carmen Caine/Madison Adler is from another world. She spends every moment she can scribbling stories on sticky notes that her kids find posted all over the car, house, and barn.

When she is not working as a software engineer, she is busy ferrying her kids to various appointments, writing lyrics for her husband's songs, taking care of the dog Tigger and his heart condition, attempting to tame her three insane cats, scratching her three Nigerian Dwarf Goats behind the horns or coddling her flock of thirty bizarre chickens from around the world.

Ahhh Great Series

Please read this 4 book series by Carmen Caine. There's action, fey, lizard people, humans to name a few. Of course the fey or fairy are exceedingly gorgeous, with many talents. The lizard people are disgusting, evil, plotting destruction against all. This is a very well written series with lessons to be learned along the way. I seriously did not want this storyline to end. Please Ms. Caine keep going with this story. Everyone needs uplifting stories with events that include all types, i.e. personality traits, conflicts, clean reading. I'm looking for her next series with great anticipation.

Lighthearted read

This was a whole series for a super low price but worth more. Great fantasy with a romance through it I highly recommend it for a book that's long enough to check out of reality for a while without getting too heavy but still has a lesson of love in it.

Enjoyable, True and Needed

I love this collection. Well written, thought out, excellent characters, and a needed message. Worth the time to read it again and again.

The story itself has a five star rating; however I've taken off two stars because I need to critique the writing itself.

The author gets an A+ for an imaginative story; however there are certain points where you can see the writer's skill was lacking - even if the reader understands why.

In the beginning Jerry the mouse was introduced and later on Top Hat. BOTH had characteristics that ANYONE who is trying to follow their fate and make the "right" choice would pay attention to.

Jerry has eyes that show his soul is older than he appears. The protagonist comments on this as do others vital to the story, all trying to figure out all the pieces. I don't understand why NO ONE put two and two together when 99% of the readers were screaming at the book, "HELLO!" The mesmers run from Jerry and Jerry himself said he was a seed. Jerry is obviously there for a reason and everyone comments on how things are odd about him but never do much more than that.

I mean this is like putting together a puzzle and noticing an extra bag of pieces but not questioning their purpose. Especially when you've put the puzzle together and see pieces are missing but and you just completely ignore the bag with extra pieces until someone points out that the extra pieces are what is missing.

Top Hat appears a lot in the last books and doesn't appear too much if at all in the beginning. Yet our protagonist doesn't think it is something she should share so she doesn't say ANYTHING until the end. Like seriously...wtf?

I DO understand why the author chose to let the protagonist ignore these facts, because she wasn't ready to reveal their purpose. In that case it shows poor writing and foreshadowing skills and almost appeared like these items were added well after the first draft and the author never bothered to address the additions by making other parts of the story change.

Regardless, I LOVED the story and tolerated the issues above because I wanted to see how it ended. I'm also not turned off by the author and so I've started another series.

I think the book set could have benefited from additional editing after beta readers to incorporate the outlying story items better. Us readers like a mystery and sometimes to know something the characters don't; however we do not appreciate a carrot being dangled in front of the character and them ignoring it and starving as a result.

I never give 5 stars, but this set earned them!

This series has it all, great characters, non-stop action, leading to powerful insights. A completely new take on the legends of the fey is the framework for this 4 book series about a girl who has a destiny, meets the fey, falls in love and lives a great adventure. In the process, she learns a lot.

This was 4 books, 1 story. I gave it four stars on principle, I am a woman who desires to read of women, not kids. This series did make me laugh and cry, truly. Basically a great story, solid and with good characters. Very much a fantasy read. It was worth my time. I still crave a hero, whether or not he is my type.

I loved this Series, It was one of the first I read when I got my Kindle back in 2015. The development of the Characters was written superbly and the enchanting world was stunning. It has lead me to a few other series' with similar stories but nothing I have read since this series compares to Sydney, Rafael and Jarred's adventures.

I loved this series

I stayed up till 5 in the morning reading the last book in the series. I was wiping tears as Sidney learned about love. If there ever is a continuation of the series, I will be sure to read it also.
