Ancient World Leaders

Rate this book
Hannibal Barca was an extraordinary military leader and political reformer in the ancient world. His Carthaginian army's march with elephants over the Alps to attack rival Rome in 218 BCE is one of the most daring exploits in world history. Hannibal sacrificed his life to leadership and war, and became such a force in the world's imagination that centuries after his death, Roman mothers would scare their children by threatening, 'Hannibal is at the gates'. His sacrifice of self to a larger cause is still an inspiration today, and his battle plans are studied by modern students of conflict and war. Read in Hannibal how his personal discipline and charisma remain models for world leadership.

Amazing History book comprises Whole life and siege of Hannibal towards his most hateful enemy i.e. Roman empire after he took oath during his childhood and siege of His father.
Hannibal Barca ; Supreme leader & commander, Great militant & Tactical though kind for his army.
He had done what no other commander even thought to do at that time of early BC time.

This book described you How He siege towards Second Punic war and His life ventures. However, it has been written about him in so captivating way that you wouldn't stop until the end.

This was very interesting as my knowledge of Hannibal is pretty limited. My only criticism is that I wished there were more background information on Hannibal's life and family (wife and children); the book was mostly comprised of his wars with Rome.
