“Sean Turner is not the man for you,” people warned me. They judged him based on his career, on his past. But they didn’t know him like I did. They couldn’t look past the tattoos and scars to see the gentle soul that lived inside him.

But I could.

We were both scarred, both a little broken. But somehow when I was with him, breathing was a little easier. His past didn’t matter, and neither did mine.

Loving him could cost me my family and friends. Not loving him though? That could break me.

DNF @ 15%. I didn't even make it to my 30% point that I usually push myself to get to before adding to my dnf shelf! The h was way too immature for my liking. The H seemed like a good character so far, but I got to the point that the h's Dad dragged her to the H's bar to return his jacket and to forbid him from seeing his daughter. She's 21!!! If she was something like 17 -- I would understand this scene. I also saw a review by "JLC" that confirmed that it wasn't going to get better, and made the final push to add to my dnf and quit...sorry.

I hate abusive men, and here within these pages we meet one.

Girl falling for the wrong man, a badass.

Its a fair enough story, not something that stood out as its a familiar story that has been written in different ways over and over.

If you love romance, bad boys, good girls, then this is for you

This lovely romance by Allie Kincheloe captured me from the first page and never let go.

I love it when a good girl falls for a bad boy. Sean's Sweetheart is filled with all the reasons why a good girl should steer clear, but Talia refuses to steer anywhere but into Sean's heart.

Sean, a victim of an unstable upbringing and his own demons, has made mistakes in his past. However, for the last five years he's done nothing but good. No matter his good intentions, or the fact he is a different man, he doesn't feel worthy of any relationship.

Talia, the young woman who he rescues from an unsavory and abusive situation at the club he owns, has other ideas. Talia doesn't give up. She bounds into his heart and captures his interest, but he fights the attraction. Sean insists that she's too young, innocent and doesn't want a man like him in her life.

Long story short, Sean basically tries to convince his daggone stubborn self that he shouldn't pursue Talia. On the other hand, Talia does whatever she can to sway his conviction to keep her at arm's length. She succeeds—for a moment, anyway. Once their lips meet, She's not too crazy about the fact Sean captures her with a kiss then pushes away.

The ensuing antics, serious moments and sometimes dangerous twists kept me riveted and wondering how the heck these two could ever find a happy ending. The story's plot is believable and intriguing. Just when I thought I had things figured out between the two main characters, the author threw in a twist… or three. (I love plot twists.)

Allie Kincheloe created flawed and lovable characters…and ones I loved to hate. (Especially Talia's ex-boyfriend, who is a domineering jerk.) Talia made me smile so much my cheeks hurt. And Sean absolutely broke my heart at times. Quite a myriad of emotions, huh?

Two thumbs up. This story has everything. I stayed up late many nights because I had to read "just one more chapter" of Sean's Sweetheart. (Which ended up being yet another…and another.)

I highly recommend this romance if you like bad boys, good girls and the excitement the combination creates. You won't be disappointed.

Sean's Sweetheart Allie Kincheloe 5***** Reviewed by Two ordinary girls and their books I was given an Arc of Sean's Sweetheart in exchange for a honest review, as I understand this was Allies debut novel. This is a fantastic debut for this author once you start you don't want to put it down, it grabs you from the first page.

Okay so Sean has spent the past few years trying to clean up his life, he wants to leave his bad boy past behind him, so what does a ex bad boy do?? He buys him self a club and turns it in to profitable business, it's one of the popular clubs in town. What Sean didn't expect is to fall head over heels in love with a a sexy redhead sophomore in collage... From the moment he rescues Talia from her abusive Boyfriend, he's Hooked, but with Sean's background he feels he's not worthy of any relationship.

Talia is rescued by Sean at the Garden ( Sean's Club) from abusive situation that could of turns nasty if he didn't stand up and get Talia away from her Boyfriend, Talia is just a smitten with Sean even more so when he calls her "Sweetheart" but Sean's say he's to old for her ,and She's to innocent and she doesn't need a man like him in her life..
will Talia`s Persistence pay off Will she get her man???
Age is just a number right?
Will Sean and Talia get a happy ending?? Want to know the answers to the questions??? Well run over to Amazon and get one clicking you will not be disappointed

For a Debut novel this was an amazing read written beautifully, and the story flows fantastic.
New Adult is not one of the Genres I would normally read so I wasn't sure on what expect, I can honestly say I LOVED this book and I won't judge a book it Genre again.. Loved the little twits, and omg I could of very easily Punched Sam (Talias dad) more then once. Never judge a person from there past or their job, or because they have tattoos, This was a 5 shinning stars read for me loved it. I would recommend to friends and already have..

Sean's Sweetheart is Allie Kincheloe's debut new adult novel. New adult is not a genre I tend to read so I wasn't exactly sure what expect. By the end of the first chapter I was hooked. In fact, I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning unable to tear myself away from Sean and Talia.
I have no patience or tolerance for abusive men so I hated Talia's boyfriend from the get go and I found myself getting aggravated at her father's insistence that she continue dating him. On the flip side, I have a real soft spot for the underdog and I rooted for Sean from the second they met. I love the fact that the writing made me feel invested in the characters. The descriptions the author created put me right into the story and when I finally reached the end, I found myself longing for a sequel. Immediately.
The book is a quick read, mainly because you probably won't be able to put it down until you finish it. I am looking forward to future works from this author.

***3.5 Stars***

I was quite surprise by this book. The book cover is quite bad, but if you look past it and focus on what's inside, it's quite a wonderful story.

Sean's Sweetheart is a contemporary romance with a May/December theme. The heroine, Talia, is 21 years old and the hero, Sean is 29 years old. Also, while reading, this story had a lot of a new adult feel to it and it is more of a PG-13 story. There isn't frequent and graphic sex scenes. Nothing heavy, though it does deal with the topic of abuse. The story is sweet and flows rather nicely.

I just wasn't very fond of the heroine, Talia. She was said to be 21, yet her character acted more like a 16/17 year old and her parents treated her as such. Her character just seemed too immature for my liking. With that said, I never warmed up to her. I just stuck around for the hero, Sean, to be honest.

Overall, I would have to say that I did end up enjoying this book surprisingly even though the heroine didn't quite cut it for me.

Sean's Sweetheart is full of intimate relationships and troubled pasts that weave around this couple, trying to pull them apart as they try to come together. An interesting insight into abusive relationships and histories that haunt you; how those interplay with romance and ways of working through them. The father's aggression is strong, as is the ex-boyfriend's, which leaves you wondering throughout the book where that might lead. Well written with swift-cut changes through the book into the two main protagonist's heads, making for an interesting read.

I was provided with an ARC in exchange for an independent, honest review.

Talia is a strong-willed heroine who realizes she needs to get out of a bad situation, and Sean is her escape. Most definitely not your knight in shining armor type, Sean is a powerful force in his own right. I enjoyed the great chemistry between these two.
Talia's family is a hoot and adds a genuine feel to the story. Sean's Sweetheart has it all: Small town romance, humor, and a quaint mystery with a twist! Highly recommended read.
