Alien Bond: A Fated Mates Alien Romance

Rate this book
Their minds touched before their bodies ever could. A connection that defies science. A passion that defies reason...

Rebecca

I fix systems; that's what I do. But nothing in my engineering training prepared me for the phantom sensations and blue-tinted dreams that started when the prison transport docked at Nexus Station. The Aquarian prisoner haunts my thoughts, and something tells me he's running out of time. Logic says to walk away. The inexplicable bond between us demands I help him escape.

Neros

After three years imprisoned for exposing corruption, my transfer order is really an execution. My last hope arrives in the form of a human engineer who somehow shares my thoughts. Using our telepathic bond to escape could save my life but endanger hers. And yet, with each mental touch, the connection deepens until I can't imagine existing without her—in my mind or in my arms.

Alien Bond is a sizzling sci-fi romance featuring mind-to-mind connection, desperate escape plans, and two beings from different worlds discovering that the most powerful connection isn't physical—until it is.

Rebecca is not your typical heroine. As a brilliant systems engineer, she thrives on logic, precision, and control. But when the telepathic voice of Neros—an imprisoned whistleblower marked for execution—intrudes into her meticulously ordered world, everything she thought she knew begins to unravel.

What begins as mental interference soon transforms into something much more powerful: a bond that defies space, logic, and fear. Neros, locked away for daring to expose the corruption of the elite, is no stranger to pain or sacrifice. Yet even in captivity, his connection to Rebecca grows—one born of shared thoughts, unspoken truths, and a slowly building trust.

Rebecca’s decision to help isn’t made lightly. She is no damsel pulled along by fate; she chooses to risk everything—her career, her safety, and her future—not because of destiny, but because of conviction. It’s this agency that sets her apart and makes the romance between her and Neros so rich, so earned.

The slow-burn connection between them—telepathic first, emotional second, and physical only when trust is built—takes the fated-mates trope and elevates it to something deeply human and profoundly intimate.

I had a hard time getting started with this one. Rebecca is a engineer on the space station, brilliant, but socially awkward. Aquarian Neros Valen is a whistle blower, a political prisoner who is slated to be moved to a maximum security facility, which is known for being a place where prisoners disappear forever. They have a telepathic mate bond, but their communication and thoughts at first are stilted, like two computers hooking up, or maybe just Mr. and Ms. Spock in a heavy Vulcan mode. As danger looms for Neros, their connection grows and the story gets more interesting.

Rebecca is intelligent and strong-willed, determined to save Neros from the certain death that awaits him. He appreciates her brilliance and dedication. With his direction, she utilizes her quick mind and engineering knowledge to fashion an escape route. When this is compromised, she works to ensure his safety. Their differences complement each other, leading to a HEA.

Alien Bond is a sci-fi romance by author Luna Wren that follows the unexpected and rare bond-echo felt by Aquarian prisoner Neros Valen as his transport brings him in to the Nexus station, the last stop before he disappears permanently.
Human Rebecca is an engineer aboard the station whose life is about to get turned around when she starts experiencing weird telepathic sensations and dreams.
Their connection is forming and for Neros who was wrongly imprisoned for exposing corruption there is now hope for escape.
I enjoyed their story of intrigue, bonding, inter species love, danger, action, and spice, with it’s imaginative world building, and nicely written narrative immersed in a very captivating alien romance. HEA.

Rebecca is a brilliant systems engineer—pragmatic, analytical, skilled, and grounded. Her routine is upended by haunting mental echoes from Neros. Neros has been jailed for exposing corruption and now faces execution under the guise of a transfer. Their telepathic bond draws Rebecca to help him, even as danger looms from powerful elites. Rebecca isn’t passive or a damsel; she uses her skills and chooses to risk everything for Neros.

Their mind‑to‑mind connection builds a slow‑burn intimacy before any physical contact—a stroke of genius in the fated‑mates trope. As their bond deepens, emotional connection and physical attraction develops into genuine feelings for each other.

This was another engaging read by this author. I find it fascinating to have a mind connection before anything else and couldn't wait to dive into this second book of the series. When Neros, scheduled for execution for being a whistle blower, connects with human engineer, Rebecca, he feels the spark of hope for escape. One thing I really enjoyed about Rebecca is that she wasn't some damsel caving to fate. She used logic, weighed the risks and then committed to helping him. These two have a strong connection that evolved from telepathy, to emotional and then to physical. Expect to get caught up in the action, danger, intrigue and spicy romance as these two work their way to a fab HEA. Good fun!

"I need to be near her. The bond isn't optional. It's like cutting off my air supply."

I loved the first book in this series. I thought it was really unique and was looking forward to book two- and I loved it even more. I was fascinated with the premise and loved the tension, suspense, and sense of urgency in the prison setting. Great world building and wonderful characters. I loved both Rebecca and Neros. She was smart and brave, risking herself to help him escape and save his life.

I loved how powerful the bond between them grew, sensing each other even in inconsciousness. How dedicated they were to each other. It was heartwarming.

This story was a fast-paced journey with suspense, danger, action, and intrigue and I was hooked. 5 stars

This was just as good of a story as the first one. If you loved the first of this series you would love this one. The whole melding of minds and coming together over those wave length is a fascinating read. The fact that the MFC discovered corruption at the highest of all levels and started the investigation and exposed it in order to save the MC made for a really good read that I found myself sucked in. I loved how this story developed and everything about it. The things this couple had to do and go through in order to be together made the whole coming together a great read. I like having a totally different read to lose yourself into.

Merge Mania

I really enjoyed this very cerebral romance. Rebecca and Neros formed a bond that was beyond imagining when he was a telepathic prisoner, on his way to execution, and she was a station engineer with a genius mind and neural pathways that opened to him. It was a wild, crazy, incredibly romantic book that I really enjoyed.
