The storyline is both imaginative and entertaining, presenting an array of charming and quirky mythical characters that wreak playful havoc on Earth. Have you ever pondered the origins of legendary creatures like the majestic Thunderbird, the elusive Yeti, the infamous Bigfoot, the mischievous Chupacabra, and the enigmatic Loch Ness Monster? With its eye-catching visuals and clever tales, this comic is not just a treat for younger readers; it's a joyous experience for anyone fascinated by comic books, the supernatural, or the paranormal. If you're looking for a light-hearted adventure filled with laughter and imagination, then Tiny Invaders: The Crash should be at the top of your reading list.
This book has an "age limit" of 7-18 years on it but really, it's appropriate and fun for anyone 7+ years of age!! A UFO has landed on Earth and some very interesting and quirky invaders are here to show earthlings how things are done. This book is hilarious! The illustrations are vivid and very well done too!
This was an incredibly cute, comic book style story that goes over what happens when a UFO touches down on earth and releases tiny, glowing creatures. Vibrant, full color illustrations really had to this story. I found it to be funny, unique, and well written. A very entertaining story.
Eric Walbrecht’s Tiny Invaders is an out-of-this-world romp that combines laugh-out-loud humor with a healthy dose of chaos, conspiracy, and cow-related confusion. Aimed squarely at middle grade readers (and the young-at-heart), this book is fast, fun, and just the right amount of ridiculous.
The plot kicks off with the classic sci-fi setup: a UFO crash-lands on Earth—but from there, everything goes hilariously off-script. Instead of terrifying alien overlords or sleek intergalactic travelers, we get… tiny glowing creatures skulking through forests, cows acting like they’ve got something to hide, and a garden gnome that might just be an extraterrestrial in disguise. It’s not just weird—it’s full-blown weird-weird.
The authorities, of course, try to write it off. Weather balloons. Swamp gas. Mass hysteria. But as the sightings get bolder and more bizarre, it’s clear something truly alien is afoot—and Earth, in all its bumbling glory, is completely unprepared.
Walbrecht’s comedic voice is the standout here. Think Diary of a Wimpy Kid meets Men in Black, with a sprinkle of Stranger Things if it were directed by a stand-up comic. The humor is fast-paced and clever, full of zany one-liners, running gags, and over-the-top scenarios involving microwave-modified alien tech and clueless officials. There’s enough absurdity to keep younger readers glued to the pages, and enough subtle wit to entertain adults reading along.
Beneath the chaos, Tiny Invaders also lightly touches on themes of curiosity, fear of the unknown, and what it means to be “alien”—though it never takes itself too seriously. It’s first and foremost an adventure, and a wildly entertaining one at that.
‘When a UFO crash-lands on Earth, strange reports and sightings of mysterious creatures start to emerge. This is the true story of one of the biggest cover ups in history about the existence of extraterrestrial life… they exist.’
Tiny Invaders: The Crash by Eric James Walbrecht is a comic book style story that tells a fun and imaginative tale. This book is a perfect blend of humor, adventure, and a little bit of chaos- making it an enjoyable read for both younger audiences, as well as the young at heart. We follow a group of tiny alien invaders who find themselves in an unexpected predicament after a crash landing. Mr. Walbrecht's writing is full of witty dialogue and vivid descriptions, bringing the quirky characters and their miniature world to life- which successfully kept me engaged the whole way through. Some of the stars of this little show include aliens, the thunderbird, big foot, Lochness monster, chupacabra, the Jersey devil, yeti, and the mothman- who all added an extra element of fun and intrigue to the overall storyline. Happy Reading…
Tiny Invaders: The Crash by Eric Walbrecht is a fun, quirky, chaotic, and absolutely adorable little sci-fi adventure with big cryptid energy! This quick-read graphic novel takes the classic Roswell alien trope and flips it on its head instead of little green men, Earth’s "visitors" include Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, Chupacabra, Mothman, and more. What I loved in this book was; The art style is fun, bold, and super expressive. Each creature has a distinct personality—some grumpy, some mischievous, and all ridiculously lovable. The humor is also pitch-perfect for all ages. There’s slapstick for the kids and clever satire for the adults. It's not a long read (about 40 pages), but it packs a punch. This would be perfect for younger readers just getting into graphic novelsor honestly, anyone who needs a light, silly break from reality.
Tiny Invaders is a graphic novel discussing what happens when a UFO strikes down and unleashes glowing tiny creatures. The ensuing rampage and connection to famous cryptids will keep you belly laughing as they stumble through comedic chaos. This book is full of vibrant artwork, loud and funny creatures aimed at engaging younger audiences and fantasy-inducing storytelling. This book is a new style of writing to me, but I loved how it connects a whole host of generations, connects history with humor, and makes aliens and cryptids lovable.
If you are looking for a book to read with your children (or parents) that will keep you giggling while the characters go adventuring, then this is the story for you!
I am quite a bit older than the target audience for this book, but I couldn’t pass it up. It looked super cool, and both of my kiddos were interested in it as well. It was the first book we read by this author, but it definitely won’t be our last! We were laughing the entire way through. My kids, ages 9 and 13, are all about comic-styled books nowadays, so this one was right up their alley. The illustrations are mind-blowingly awesome and made everything way more entertaining. This quirky tale is full of absurd moments that somehow feel like they might just be true. So, buckle up because it’s a cover-up of epic proportions. Earth has definitely met its match with these aliens. I’m so excited to see more from this author!
5 Star Tiny Invaders: The Crash By Eric James Walbrecht
Tiny Invaders: The Crash is a fun children’s book that is aimed for children ages 7-18 but I think younger children would enjoy it being read to them. My son and I loved reading this book. It was fun the characters are fun and the illustrations brought the story to life. My son loved that it was like a comic book with the bubbles. An alien spaceship Crash lands here on Earth and all passengers escape. They try doing the whole fitting in thing. But that doesn’t work. So now we must figure out how to retrive the aliens. We laughed so much reading this. My son got a kick out of reading this book. I highly recommend reading this book to see what happens next. We look forward to reading more from this Author.
Tiny Invaders is a whacky sci-fi graphic novel full of weird creatures. It’s a fun read for all ages, with unique character design and silly situations that are sure to entertain!
The structure includes sections devoted to different characters and their experiences on Earth, within the framing narrative of the UFO crash and Number Two dealing with the aftermath of this. It could be fun to dip in and out of, encountering the different characters. If you’re reading with younger kids, you could encourage them to come up with their own characters and try drawing them!
This book gets four stars from me. I particularly enjoyed the art style, and look forward to reading more! (maybe we can catch up with the Tiny Invaders once they’ve been on Earth for a while and settled in?).
Tiny Invaders: The Crash by Eric Walbrecht. This is a fun, fantasy book made in a comic book style. I really enjoyed it even though its geared towards a much younger audience. It's the story of a UFO crash and the adventures its aliens go on. You are thrown into a crazy adventure with these aliens and I genuinely laughed out loud. While the aliens find themselves in a unique predicament they are hilarious at trying to get out of it. Full of adventure, chaos and laughter this book will grab the attention of kids from ages 9-18, this 55 year old Grammie even loved it. It would make a great gift for any family with kids and even teachers for their classrooms. The pictures are a great addition to this wonderful story.
This book is pure chaos in the best way—glowing aliens, suspicious cows, and a garden gnome demanding directions to the mothership? I was laughing from the first page, and the absurdity only escalates as the truth (or truth-ish) unfolds. The blend of sci-fi and comedy is pitch-perfect, with just enough mystery to keep you turning pages between giggles. It reads like Men in Black for middle-grade readers, complete with microwave-powered gadgets and a government cover-up that’s wildly unconvincing. If you like your alien stories weird, fast-paced, and full of heart (and cow-related confusion), this one delivers.
Tiny Invaders: The Crash is a bright, funny, and action-packed graphic novel that takes young readers on an out-of-this-world adventure! When a group of tiny alien creatures crash-lands on Earth, they must figure out how to fix their ship and survive in a world that’s totally strange to them. Each character has a unique personality. The artwork is colourful and full of silly moments that kids will love. It’s a sci-fi fun book told in a fast-paced, comic-style format that keeps readers turning the pages.Young readers, especially boys, will enjoy this silly, space-themed story. It’s perfect for anyone who loves aliens and adventure.
The book begins with the classic sci-fi spark—a UFO crash—but quickly veers into its own lane. Rather than overwhelming readers with intergalactic warfare or sleek, hyper-tech aliens, Walbrecht introduces something subtler and stranger: tiny glowing creatures, odd animal behavior, and a rising sense of unease in a quiet, rural town. What makes this refreshing is its tone. There’s humor and absurdity laced through the suspense. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, and that works to its advantage. It’s as much about the people responding to the invasion as it is about the invaders themselves.playful, visually-driven entry into a promising new sci-fi series. .
This book was adorable! An alien spaceship crash lands on Earth. Due to the crash the passengers escape! These unique, vibrantly colored aliens with interesting personalities are all passengers you may know- Lochness Monster, Jersey Devil, Thunderbird, Bigfoot, Mothman, and Chupacabra! Fun right?!?! Trying to blend in on Earth isn't very easy. And so many funny mishaps along the way. This book really keeps you engaged and wanting to finish it. It will have you cracking up. You have to check this one out!! Great for kids and adults. I enjoyed it myself. This is easy to read and I can see it being popular with younger kids in the graphic novel style.
An alien is heading home after a successful mission, but something goes terribly wrong and he crash lands on earth instead and what's worse is that his cargo has escaped!
As he sets off to round them all up again, he finds himself in a sticky situation with some humans and all his plans go out of the window as he has to focus on escape instead.
Meanwhile, his cargo is having fun of its own, exploring this new world and the humans within it, but they don't really fit in and this is how myths and legends start.
Who was the cargo and what did they do? You will have to read this adventure and fun-filled graphic novel to find out.
This is a cute children’s story about tiny invaders. This is an engaging story that is full of colorful illustrations that will keep any child asking questions. Who knew that aliens could invade Earth until they did. When goofy reports start coming in authorities think at first it is a hoax until there is only one answer. I enjoyed the creative and fun characters that bring life to the plot of the story. This is a great story that any child would enjoy and keep asking to read over and over again. I highly recommend this children’s story.
This book is a brilliant and imaginative story that really engaged both my kids as soon as we started reading. The storyline is great but it is the images that really bring this story to life. They are colourful and vivid and make it so much easier to picture everything that is going on. This was a really fun story to read as well. The characters were just fantastic and even I could have read more about them. This is the first book we have read by this author but I already know, from my kids’ reaction, it absolutely will not be the last.
This story is so fun for children to read, parents too. The characters are fun to follow as well. I love the imagination this author incorporated into his book. The pictures are bright and colorful and tell the story in their own way. Making the story easy to follow. This is my first book from this author and you can be sure he is going on my list of favorites in the children's genre. I look forward to reading more from this author. I feel this story belongs in every child's library. Just because the imagination is open ended and a great conversation starter.
Tiny Invaders is a funny sci-fi graphic novel with lots of weird and silly creatures. It’s great for all ages and has cool, unique characters. The story is broken into parts that follow different characters on Earth, all connected to a UFO crash. My favourite character was Thunderbird. He was hilarious trying to fit in with the other birds. Who doesn’t love poop humour haha. It’s fun to read a little at a time and meet all the different characters. I think my son would have loved this book when he was younger.
This is a super cute comic book style story of how some "legends" arrived here on Earth. From Bigfoot to Lochness to Mothman, Walbrecht provides cute stories to go along with everyone he's included and the one responsible for bringing them here. This was absolutely adorable not only in writing but also in illustrating. The baby versions of these usually scary creatures is delightful. This is definitely a read that the kiddos and parents will enjoy.
My 5 year old absolutely enjoyed this read. To be honest, I was a little confused when it was switching through characters. I really did like the beginning plot tho. I think in the future a lot can definitely be done with this first book! It was pretty good. I definitely recommend if you have a 5 year old that loves space. And they mentioned “Roswell” a city in my state which was a plus for the plot.
This story is chaotic in the best way. It is hilarious and adorable. Kids are sure to love the illustrations of all of the characters involved in this story. This is not your average alien story. The "aliens" here are cryptids - bigfoot, mothman, yeti, etc. This is a unique story of where these creatures came from and why they came. My 8yo son loved this book! I hope there are more from this author, especially in this series!
Just finished Tiny Invaders: The Crash and I am OBSESSED! 🚀💥
A UFO crash-landing on Earth unleashes tiny glowing creatures and chaos in the cutest comic-style adventure. The vibrant full-color illustrations bring every page to life, and the story? Hilarious, original, and so much fun! 🤩📖
If you're into quirky, clever reads with big personality, this one's for you. 💫
Tiny Invaders by Eric James Walbrecht 4 Star Review Although this is not my usual type of read, I found it to be creatively constructed. His use of the graphics was brilliantly illustrated. The comic book style was popular with my grandson, who also read the book with me. The author has created a piece that is easy to read, and sure to be popular with the younger audience! If you enjoy this type of book, this one is for you!
This is a cute little comic for kiddos! This book is laid out in a comic strip style and you learn each character individually. An alien comes to earth and starts an adventure with all the folk lore characters of earth. Set them free in this fun little tale! Funny, witty, and filled with adventure! The writing is easy to understand and the pictures are super cute!
Tiny Invaders is a cute little comic. It reminds me of the Sunday paper comics. They are set up in strips with each page having two lines. An alien crash lands on Earth accidently releasing Bigfoot, yeti, lochness, chupacabra, mothman, Thunderbird, and Jersey Devil. The stories are extremely short but are hilarious, well written, and drawn in color.
This is a cute and quick book featuring a handful of creatures and how they ended up on Earth. With colorful illustrations this comic style book will have kids and those young at heart engaged. It is a fun and silly story that shows some interactions with each of the creatures. The younger versions of the usually scary monsters and their antics makes it appealing for readers of all ages.
This was such a cute and funny story. It’s a bunch of little stories about little characters (I.e. chupacabra, big foot, and more) while telling the main story of the alien with the humans. Loved reading all the little characters comic strips. Quick and cute read. My favorite is the chupacabra (because that’s my favorite “mythological” character) but mothman is so adorable.
I try to read a book a day to my granddaughter, she is a year old, she loves her storytime. She usually sits on my lap and helps me turn the pages on my tablet. She looks at the pictures as I read.
This book was different from the other books that we read, it was like a comic book, and she isn't used to that. She had a hard time sitting still.
