A primal connection that demands satisfaction... Jamie
I've sacrificed everything for eight years to reach the Interspecies Athletic Championships. But when equipment sabotage traps me with the towering Nimeran competitor who's been watching me with hungry eyes, his desperate biological need awakens something fierce and protective in me. Logic says the mating fever consuming him is a medical emergency. The way my body responds to his every desperate sound tells me it's so much more than that.

Krov
The human female's scent triggers something in my biology that shouldn't be a mating fever that will kill me without relief. What starts as survival becomes addiction when she whispers praise I've never heard before. But our connection creates a diplomatic crisis that threatens both our careers. When she calls me "good," when she chooses me over safety, I know I'd rather face exile than exist without her.

Luna Wren’s Alien Mate is everything I crave in a sci-fi romance: primal instincts, impossible choices, and a love that burns brighter than intergalactic protocol. This is not just a story about survival—it's a story about surrendering to something deeper, wilder, and utterly irresistible.

From the very first page, Jamie pulled me in with her grit. She’s not just any athlete—she’s a woman who has sacrificed everything to compete at the highest level in the Interspecies Athletic Championships. But what she doesn’t expect is to be trapped in a malfunctioning room with Krov—a massive, brooding Nimeran alien whose need is so intense it could actually kill him.

What follows is one of the most emotionally charged, instinct-driven, and searingly hot connections I’ve read in a long time.

Krov is not your typical alpha alien. He’s vulnerable, raw, and utterly undone by the scent of one small human female. His biological response—mating fever—is dangerous, but what makes it so compelling is how deeply emotional it becomes. It’s not just lust; it’s a soul-deep craving for connection, for kindness, for someone to choose him. And when Jamie responds not with fear, but with compassion and courage? I was gone. Hooked. Fully invested.

Their chemistry is intense. It's not just physical—though whew, prepare for some serious heat—it’s emotional. Jamie sees Krov, not just his size or strength, but the loneliness beneath. And Krov? He worships her. Not because he has to—but because once she calls him “good,” he believes it.

I loved how Luna Wren handled the political tension, too. Their bond doesn't exist in a vacuum—there are real consequences, real stakes. But instead of pulling away, Jamie and Krov lean in. Their love becomes a rebellion. A choice to defy expectations, careers, even species lines—for the kind of love that refuses to be contained.

If you're into fated mates, emotional vulnerability in powerful alien heroes, and heroines who are strong not because they fight—but because they love without fear—Alien Mate will absolutely wreck you in the best way.

Bottom line? This is the kind of book you read in one breathless sitting, and when it’s over, you’re half tempted to start it all over again. Krov and Jamie don’t just mate—they heal. They fight. They belong. And you’ll be rooting for them with every page.

'She belongs with me. My body recognized this truth from our first encounter, and now my conscious mind begins accepting what biology has known all along. Jamie Foster will be mine before this ordeal ends.
And despite every rational objection, every political complication, every social barrier that should prevent such claiming, the rightness of it fills me with certainty.'

I loved this book. Great world building and wonderful characters. I loved both Krov and Jamie. This story was such a sweet hurt/comfort romance that was more emotional than I expected going in. Jamie was a strong heroine and an athlete skilled enough for competition. I loved that about her. While I've read many alien romances where women are in competitions (more often than not deadly ones), it's usually not by her choice and being partnered with a male alien is the only way to survive. No life or death competitions here, but she is willingly competing as a lone individual without a partner, and very skilled at it, too. So I loved that she could hold her own, and was smart.

Krov was honorable and sweet. The chemistry between them turned scorching hot! But there was also a vulnerability, and I loved the praise kink in this story- and it was her praising him not the other way around. And I liked that the reasoning for why her praise affected him so strongly was rooted in his people's culture. I loved the dynamic between them and the way their relationship developed. How powerful their bond and loyalty to each other grew.

This story was a fast-paced adventure with action and suspense, Political intrigue and rebellion. I was hooked! 5 stars

Jamie has trained for eight years, in order to compete in the Interspecies Athletic Championships. She bumps into a Nimeran athlete, an alien. She feels her body respond to Krov. Krov also responds to Jamie, that triggers a mating fever. He is not supposed to go into The Veltharah, until his thirtieth year. The fever, and his symptoms become worse as the days go on. Jamie agrees to help him in his distress. Their mating is considered a violation for Krov,. He faces deportation by his delegates. Jamie is treated as a victim of a crime. They face prejudice, deportation, publicity, and political issues. Their chemistry is steamy, and loving. The storyline flowed well. The characters were likeable, and realistic. I loved reading this book!!!.

Cultural differences, political interference, sabotage, terrorism attempts all try to crash down on Jaime and Krov's growing mate bond. The mating bond packs a punch but when Krov discovers his praise kink... Whoa Nelly!!! This one is a doozy and I loved it!.

I loved the focus the lead characters had on the Olympic level sport and the intrigue of the tampering going on. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes a little more story than an stereotypical romance usually offers. I could almost picture them synchronized as they moved through the course!
