Interesting read. I agree with the other reviewer who mentioned that sometimes the story seems to be strange purely for the sake of being strange, somewhat to its own detriment.

That said, I enjoy reading new things, and this book certainly is unique. It seems like the author was very passionate about the story, but it feels like some of the world being imagined never quite made it out onto the pages.

All things said, King Wolf was intriguing and short enough that I didn’t feel betrayed by any of its faults.

I took one look at the cover of this book and knew I had to read it. I think a lot of people will be the same, when you see an amazing cover, it makes you want to read the book, to see what inspired such talent. Thankfully, the talent on the cover is equalled to the talent on the pages. Steven Savile has a way of grabbing hold of you with his words and not letting go. I could have easily read this book in one sitting but wanted to savour it, so instead I read it over a couple of days. Even the dedication had my full attention and let's face it, not many can say that.
These three short stories are filled with love, betrayal, guilt and a wonderfully happy ending.
