✨Book Review✨
Book two picks up where book one ended and we are introduced to many other characters while some previous ones play the backseat.
I need to know how everything with Marcus and Chanel plays out. Will she let him be a part of the baby's life? What’s the tea with Marcus and Keon? Are his frat brothers cool with his lifestyle? I need to know.
I also want to know if Toni and Talin are gone survive this long distance. I mean my girl is pretty much engaged at this point, so what’s tea?!
Now on to the new characters:
India- The Weird One. There is a lot to still learn about this girl but what we know so far is that she is a photographer, who hops from city to city, she’s gay, sometimes she likes to get cute other times she likes to look like a bum. She doesn’t like shoes or bras. And she has been through a lot in her past. I love her little weird ass tho. And I can’t wait to learn more about her history. I just want her and Lo to work out, this enemies-to-lovers relationship is giving me all that I need. Lo better not fuck it up. 🙄
Nariah- The Hood Bitch. She is hood and makes no apologies for it. A hairstylist for a living she has goals to open her shop one day but until then she is doing hair out of her house. She has been dating her boyfriend Reno for a year and to say their relationship is rocky is putting it lightly. Reno is a DAWG! 🥷🏾 can’t be faithful to save his life. I mean this nigga is foul AF, but I will get into his ass in a bit. I pray my girl stays strong and bosses up on his punk ass.
Reno- The DAWG! What do I say about this foul ass 🥷🏾. He’s has bitches. Nariah knows he cheats and this man doesn’t seem to care one bit. He is juggling 3+ women at the moment. One whom he met at Nariah's house 🤦🏾♀️. He is a street pharmacist and is known all over the city. I don’t like him and I can’t wait for him to get his! I hope one of these bitches breaks his heart.
Teagan- The Oreo. This child is gone give me a headache. 😂. She is the true definition of an Oreo. I mean the child doesn’t even have one black friend. 🤦🏾♀️. She gets heartbroken by some white boy and Teagan and her little friends decide to turn up one good time and play a random game of truth and dare that leads Teagan in Reno’s direction. He might’ve met his match with her though.
Now to these other fools
Alexandria- I CAN'T STAND THIS CHICK! She is a hater and always has something negative to say about somebody else. If you’re truly happy with yourself, so what other people are doing/ how they dress should not be any of your concerns. All I’m going say is I pray Nariah beats this hoe's ass!
Tiffany- Another hoe I can’t stand. I knew I couldn’t trust her ass from book one. Amari needs to know this girl ain’t her friend! At All!
Jermey- DONE BROKE MY HEART! Ugh!! 😩 this is why I don’t trust white men 😂
Amari is still my favorite! I Hope she stands on business and not be weak in the knees!
This is like binging a reality show and I am having a good time! Highly recommend it if you love messy series

Desiree's writing is so chaotic (in the best way lol) but she always brings it all together & kills it every time. She breaks the fourth wall in this book a lot. I really enjoyed this style of writing.

I was struggling to get through this book🤷🏾♀️ it’s like a bunch of short stories. Tryna keep up with all the females and all the bi/tri/lesbian and DL relationships was a lot.😂 I’m guessing the plot is how to wild TF out in college! The surprising thing is the colorism, jealousy and hate from the females. I thought ATL was all kumbaya we are our sisters keeper’s and ALL shades of Black are beautiful type of city!

Really good story, but it needs editing...
The story flowed, I enjoyed each person's tale, but the mistakes in spelling were so elementary that I don't see how they were not caught. Waste for waist and others like this just irritated me through out the whole story.

For the Love of ATL 2 picks up like it never took a breath just straight back into the chaos like oh, you thought it was cooling down? Absolutely not. Ninja you lost your girl, your baby and your LBs. Go ahead and sit this book out.
The drama is louder, messier and way more personal this time. New faces step in with their own baggage, while others fade out like they couldn’t survive the heat. The relationships are shifting, breaking, evolving and straight up self destructing in real time.
Jeremy I tried. I really did. I wanted to believe he was gonna get it together. I was rooting this whole damn book and what did he do? Proved me WRONG. Sir is committed to chaos and bad decisions like it’s a full time job. Somebody come get him before I push his muffin cap back blue for real.
Lo issa no for me. That’s not cute petty, that’s calculated. There’s a difference between being messy and being mean and she crossed that line with confidence. Way too arrogant for the role she’s playing.
Amari my heart went soft for you. Innocent, hopeful and caught up with somebody who doesn’t know how to handle something real. I was enjoying her peace, her happiness and budding love. Now that I know watching all that unfold that hurt a little.
At this point, I don’t even know who to root for and honestly, that’s what makes this series so addictive. Nobody is all good, nobody is all bad and everybody is one decision away from making things worse. This book had me gasping, side eyeing and talking to myself like I was in the middle of the scene. ATL is not letting up and neither am I. I’m locked ALL the way in.

Book 2 was so good and that ending? Had my mouth on the floor! Jeremy really played in my face. I was like, “Well, I’ll be damned!” He pulled a fast one on me lol!
I’m still riding for Amari; she’s my girl through and through. I also really loved the addition of Teagan and India. Both of them brought a fresh, unique energy that set them apart from the rest of the group.
Now I’m just sitting here waiting for Alex to finally get caught up. Her bougie attitude is too much. I cannot stand her!

So part 2 picked up where part 1 left off. I love the story telling but some of the characters were just dismissed like they never appeared. Just when their story was getting good. She closes them out. Then were introduced to more characters and more drama and more shocking twist. I feel like this could’ve been one book though because I’m ready for the series to end. Not because it’s back. Because I just wanna move on already. Lol

From book 1 to 2, everything flowed so well. That characters make me so emotional lol I just cannot.

This book was soo good!!! Im so pulled into everyone's story! Lo and India.....I want Lo to put her guard down and let india love her! Armani and Jeremy! Damnit now Jeremy why Tiffany her bff.
