How to Be Witty (Assuming You’re Not Already): The Ultimate Guide to Being Witty & Clever

Rate this book
If you want to learn how to be witty and clever (assuming you’re not already), then this book is for you!Wit is defined as mental sharpness, as well as having a natural aptitude for words and expressions. Witty people are great at conversations, often funny, and usually get along with a wide range of people, making them the life of a party. It’s hard to put down a witty person because they always have a quick comeback, no matter what the situation is. Witty people also have a unique way of seeing things. What makes them different from others who hold the same views, however, is the way they can express themselves — often succinctly. With just a few words or gestures, they can express complex ideas, change minds or attitudes, or melt a serious audience into a guffawing crowd. As such, it’s hard not to envy witty people. But can wittiness be learned? In this book, I’ll explain that wittiness is indeed something that can be learned. And better yet – I’ll show you how. Here Is A Preview Of What You'll Learn...Finding Your Groove in Social SettingsBuilding Up Your VocabularyHow to Boost Your IntelligenceHow to be HumorousLearning to Pun (How to Use the 5 Types)The Art of ConversationMuch, much more!Read on your PC, Mac, smartphone, tablet, or Kindle device. quick cute reminder to always stay on your toes

I downloaded this for fun one night to read before bed. I’m glad I did because it was short, sweet, and a good reminder to keep yourself engaged in learning new skills.

Not so great book. Things are given in this book are already known to most of the people. Nothing new.

Meh

Not enough advice or instructions. Too short. Some of it is obvious or has been said and done in other books of comedy

Some overall great tips

Not an exhaustive book, but it has quite a few tips for overall engaging conversation with people. Definitely took away some great points.

Hardly a book at all

I'm baffled this book has any higher than two stars and I'm pretty sure some of the reviews that rave about it are paid for. This book is an unorganized, unoriginal money grab. I read the whole thing in 25 minutes. The material in this "book" can easily be found by a quick google search, and the book itself reads like a quick joining of random paragraphs that have been crammed together. The author repeatedly assigns claims within this work to scientists, linguists and other professionals, but doesn't include a single study or survey to back those claims up. There are a few good sections here and there, but again, its all information that can easily be found for free online. Save your money.
