Sidewinder
I’m Ben Hawk. I, along with my partner Connie Sanchez, solve serial murder cases for the FBI.
It’s all we do and we’re the best at doing it. Our FBI Director called us back from vacation. People are dying on the Navajo reservation – horrible, terrible deaths where the bodies are left skinned and half-consumed. Sheriff Joe Longbow asked for us specifically. He knows our record solving these types of cases. Although, these cases are totally different from previous cases we’ve solved. The Sheriff suspects the murders are being done by either a Cryptid or a supernatural being. We are used to dealing with living, breathing humans.
Being part Oglala Sioux myself, I know what we are facing. We traveled to Window Rock Arizona to start the case, but before we were very far along in our investigation, we were convinced the murderous creature is a supernatural being of immense power. Far more powerful than a Cryptid, like a Bigfoot or a Werewolf.
If this creature isn’t a living, breathing being, can it even be killed? We would have to subject ourselves to Native American rituals in order to learn from the Great Spirit how to defeat it. This journey is showing us fascinating links between Christian and Native American beliefs, spanning two continents and hundreds of years of history. The real revelation is yet to what is this creature, where did it come from, and will we be able to stop it before it kills again?
