He made a promise he couldn’t break. She has a power she never knew existed.

Belshegar isn't supposed to interact with humans. But after he’s caught attending his friend Elena’s wedding in human form, his punishment is return to the mortal plane as “Bill Garrett” and retrieve several powerful artifacts from the McAllister witch clan — or face consequences beyond imagining.

Brianna McAllister has always been the odd witch out. Her scattered magic has earned her the nickname “Swiss Army knife witch” from her clan, useful but never exceptional. Between working at an art gallery in Jerome and performing at local wine rooms, she's made peace with her limitations. Until a green-eyed stranger walks into her life and awakens something extraordinary.

Their attraction is immediate and impossible to ignore. But as Belshegar’s mission forces him deeper into deception, an attack from another dimension reveals the truth — Brianna is a harmonic, capable of balancing energies across worlds, a power not seen in generations.

When a being known only as the Collector comes for the artifacts and covets Brianna’s rare talent, she must quickly master abilities she barely understands. With dimensions colliding and Jerome’s safety at stake, Belshegar faces an unbearable choice between duty and a love he never expected to find. Together, they’ll discover that some bonds transcend both worlds and punishment alike.

A native of Southern California, Christine Pope has been writing stories ever since she commandeered her family’s Smith-Corona typewriter back in the sixth grade. Many reams of dead trees later, she’s happy to announce that her debut novel, Fringe Benefits, was published by Pink Petal Books on April 8, 2010. Her short fiction has appeared in Astonishing Adventures, Luna Station Quarterly, and the new journal of dark fiction, Dark Valentine. Her paranormal novella, Playing With Fire, was released on August 5, 2010.

While Fringe Benefits is a straight contemporary romance, she writes in a variety of genres, including paranormal romance, fantasy, horror, science fiction, and historical romance. She blames this on being easily distracted by bright, shiny objects, which could also account for the size of her shoe collection.

After spending many years in the magazine publishing industry, she now works as a freelance editor in addition to writing fiction. She lives with her husband and an explosively fluffy Pomeranian mix. Her house is pink, but don’t hold that against her.

Sometimes you just need a change of pace. High fantasy, romantasy is fine but sometimes you just want something a tad slower paced, set in a world whilst different from your own is still recognisable. This second generation of witches & warlocks have just as much danger following them as their parents did!

Belshegar has been "visiting" from another realm for years. He was never supposed to be seen by humans, never mind become friends with them. But he got caught attending a friends wedding and now he's paying the price for it. He's been banished to Jerome and told to collect some artifacts in the care of the local witch clan. Now known as “Bill” he's too infiltrate the McAllisters and find those relics.

Brianna was a great FMC as she is depicted as average. She has no great, discernible talent. She's literally known as the "Swiss Army knife witch” to her clan. She makes a living from working in a local wine tasting room and her music. Having all that musical talent has to be good for something right?

Bill and Bree make a great couple. He's still pretty naïve about all things Earth and Bree is used to being looked upon as nothing special in the the wider clan. But that changes when her great talent is finally uncovered and becomes central to taking down the Collector!

Bill and Bree work well together and even when his true self is unmasked, Bree puts aside the hurt and realises she needs Bill to bolster her talents and stop the bad guy.

Another great story in the series!

Demon Love is an absolutely fantastic series. Demon loved is the fifth book in the series, introducing Brianna McAllister, another witch from the McAllister family. Belshegar also returns to earth as the human form of "Bill Garrett". He was the demon who befriended a child named Elena in a previous book. Elena is now all grown up and getting married. Naturally, Belshgar wanted to attend her wedding. Unfortunately, he was caught and severely punished. He was sent to Jerome to retrieve several artifacts, but he was not to interact with humans.

Brianna thought her magic was rather useless and weak, but she was a talented musician. She could not compare to her brother, who, at a very young age, was head chef at a prestigious restaurant.

The attraction between Belshgar and Brianna was quick and very strong. At the same time, a being called "the collector" comes for the amulets, and Brianna realizes that she is actually a powerful witch with a rare talent referred to as "harmonic." Both Belshegar and Brianna face many choices. Will they be able to solve the problems and not only save the artifacts but also their budding love? This book is sure to be another "can't be put down" until the very last page.
