I would give 4 stars to the Robin Hood novel and 2 to Last of the Mohicans so I gave it a collective 3. I was not familiar with the original stories of either.
I liked Robin Hood. It was written pretty well and had some very humorous and exciting parts. I was hoping more would be spoken of Maid Marian because there was only one mention of her in the book. Perhaps since it is shortened there is more with her and Robin that they left out. This made me want to read the whole book.
As for Last of the Mohicans I liked it at first but then it became confusing and very violent. It is not the type of book that I enjoy reading. I didn't like the way it ended but I don't care to read the original either. The war parts were drawn out enough already in this abridged version. I think the storyline needed many changes to make it better.
I did like the illustrations and vintage cover of this edition, so I'm not sure if I will keep it or not.

Reading Robin Hood was an exciting adventure, filled with memorable characters, a great story and plot, and development that leaves you wanting more of the story each day. I believe that this classic tale should be read, especially if you’re into adventure and the Middle Ages.

The characters within Robin Hood are given their own personalities and quirks. Memorable characters such as Robin Hood, Little John, King Henry, and many more are so unique and special in their own ways, whether it be physical or personality wise. The characters are very memorable and their morals and incentives are clear. The clear morals and incentives explain the actions of the characters and why they make said actions. The characterization is really based off the speech and actions, which really develop all the characters.

The setting and plot of the story may appeal to others as well. The Middle Age/Medieval setting may appeal to those interested in that era. The plot and its events are heavily based off the setting. The plot’s events are developed and connect to the past events in the book. The cause and effect of actions heavily developed the events and plot.

In conclusion, this book is a great choice for a story filled with memorable characters and an adventure through reading it. This book is great for those looking for a book filled with adventure and the Medieval Times.
