Jaden Thorne is living the dream. Well, not exactly the dream, but her dream--if you call working sixteen-hour days in a hot kitchen a dream, which she does. She's the executive chef at the hottest new restaurant in Miami Beach, and she's worked her ass off to get there. When her boss suddenly falls ill, she's gifted two tickets to the premiere food and wine event of the season. Jaden jumps at the opportunity to network, and with her best friend, Tasha, in tow, she's soon on a road trip to Sarasota, Florida, for the Winemaker's Dinner--and a good time. No Reservations is a short-story prequel to the highly anticipated fictionalized erotic romance The Winemaker's Dinner: Appetizers by co-authors Dr. Ivan Rusilko and Everly Drummond. No Reservations is an introduction to the romantic heroine in the series, Jaden Thorne, and is written by erotic romance author Everly Drummond.

This is another cute teaser to this series. In this part we are introduced to Jaden. Fate has stepped in and she is now attending the Winemaker's Dinner. She sees Ivan across the room and is immediately taken by him. At the end of RSVP Ivan's vision went black when he saw a woman on the dance floor. At first I thought it was the woman from his past but now I am thinking it is Jaden but you never know? I shall read more and find out! The first two "teasers" to this story were great. I like both of the characters so far and am curious to see where this story goes.

Goodreads Description:

Jaden Thorne is living the dream. Well, not exactly the dream, but her dream—if you call working sixteen-hour days in a hot kitchen a dream, which she does. She’s the executive chef at the hottest new restaurant in Miami Beach, and she’s worked her ass off to get there. When her boss suddenly falls ill, she’s gifted two tickets to the premiere food and wine event of the season. Jaden jumps at the opportunity to network, and with her best friend, Tasha, in tow, she’s soon on a road trip to Sarasota, Florida, for the Winemaker’s Dinner—and a good time.

No Reservations is a short-story prequel to the highly anticipated fictionalized erotic romance The Winemaker’s Dinner: Appetizers by co-authors Dr. Ivan Rusilko and Everly Drummond. No Reservations is an introduction to the romantic heroine in the series, Jaden Thorne, and is written by erotic romance author Everly Drummond.

The Winemaker’s Dinner: Appetizers will be released July 31, 2012.

How did I like it?

Even though this was a short story, I was really captivated and my curiosity was peaked. Drummond did a wonderful job of writing in this short story.

I was afraid I wasn't going to like this because it was so short but this only whet my...err...umm....appetite (wink). Everly wrote beautifully and has a great sense of humor. I found myself lol'ing quite a bit and read it really quickly. I devoured the words and I didn't want to stop. :-)

I can't wait to start the actual book. Believe me when I say that I will be getting this book as soon as possible.

Loved it!! Very easy to fall in love with this couple and start fantasizing about where their lives and love will lead❤

In this second novella of The Winemakers Feast we meet Jaden Thorne. She is a young chef in a prestigious Miami restaurant, Bianca‘s. I like how she feels overwhelmed in the kitchen but at the same time knows she can’t fail. She certainly is tenacious. You immediately feel a very different taste of not only character but also in emotional response from the previous novella. Jaden is a small town girl from Estes Park, Colorado who appears to be sweet, hardworking but definitely not as worldly or mature as you would think she would be having landed such a prestigious head chef position. She’s focused on her career, but also wishes for a more sexual social life. I got the impression that under that sweet bashful veneer lies the soul of a sexual diva.

We get a small glimpse of her past when she remembers a sweet moment in her dreams with her ex Jarred. Somehow I got the feeling we needed a little more information about her and her past. This dream somehow gives us a little hint as to what type of girlfriend, Jaden Thorne will be. She definitely sparked my interest in wanting to follow her into the social scene of her first big event. This novella definitely leaves you wanting for more.

Kudos to Everly Drummond for bringing what I expect to be a wonderful adventure into the lives of two young people crashing into each other and finding love.

Holy smokes if these prequels are any indication of what THE WINEMAKER’S DINNER: APPETIZERS will be like, I am so in line to read this book! I am a self professed novella/short story hater, and well…I actually liked these!! BUT, it’s also knowing there is a full length novel on the way.

I first read TWD: No Reservations which is told from the herione’s POV, written by Everly Drummond. I started here because I am use to reading most romance novels from a female’s perspective and then get all giddy when I get the opportunity to read the male’s POV. I enjoyed the set up with Jaden, her move to being head chef, the sense she is starting new, and the lead up to why she’s even at The Winermaker’s Dinner. We get a good sense of who she is and so far quite a likable character. She seems thoughtful, intuitive with her workers, and with a sense of starting new, you know this woman will be wide open to possibilities.

Looking forward to reading the novel.

I am so excited about beginning this series. Although this prequel is much different than "The Winemaker's Dinner: RSVP;" not only in pov, but in emotional response; it still brings an excitement of anticipation based upon the first prequel, or the first tease as I like to call it. Jaden appears to be a sweet, hardworking, small town girl who focuses more on her career, but wishes for a sexually active social life. I got the feeling that underneath her shy and blushing exterior lurks a sensual and aggressive sex diva. I eagerly await to see how this sex diva handles the sex god she will come to know (biblically), as well as where his brokenness will take him in this anticipated relationship. Kudos to the co-authors for bringing what I expect to be a spectacular adventure into the lives of a power romantic hero and heroine.

This is the prequel, short story of Executive Chef Jaden Thorne (what an awesome name by the way) who is a transplant from the Colorado Rocky Mountains to the hip, trendy and hot area of South Beach Miami. This prequel gives us a bit of background on Jaden and what her life is like up to the Winemaker's Dinner. It lets us know how she ends up at the dinner, with who she takes along with her to the dinner and what smokin hot outfit she buys for the dinner...plus it gives us a sneak preview as to what Jaden kind of thinks of herself. This little short story has hooked me and I am truly looking forward to reading the Winemaker's Dinner when it comes out tomorrow!!

Before you indulge in book one of The Winemaker's Feast, readers should definitely read "No Reservations", where you will be introduced to Jaden Thorne, recently arrived in Miami from Colorado and new chef at Miami hot spot, Bianca. In this prequel to the series, you'll have a glimpse into Jaden and who she is. You'll then travel with her and her best friend to the Winemaker's Dinner in Sarasota, where she will be representing her employer. What awaits Jaden in Sarasota? This prequel will have you definitely wanting to know.

What a way to be introduced to Jaden. She is smart, talented, driven, independent, funny and sexy. The friendship with Tasha will be a great addition to the story. With the description of that dress I can see why Ivan's heart stops when he sees her.

I cannot wait to read the full length book at the end of the month! These two outtakes are a wonderful to tease and excite the readers!

I'm not one for short books BUT "The Winemaker's Dinner:No Reservations" was a great. This book was going from the first moment. We are introduced to Jaden, who is second chef at a resturant, that will be part of the Winemaker's Dinner. I cannot wait to read the other two books, one of which I have waiting on my Kindle.

Another very short book that I found even better that the first one (RSVP) Everly Drummond's writing kept my interest, but once again the abrupt ending left me hanging, hence the 4 star rating rather than 5 stars.

Abrupt endings and leaving me hanging in mid air is a pet peeve of mine. However, I do have 'Winemaker's Dinner' - Book 1, 'Appetizers' ready and waiting.

We meet Jaden in this short and informative read. This was a great way to introduce the character to the readers! It's nice to have some of the back story already when we get The Winemaker's Dinner at the end of the month. Can't wait until she meets Ivan!

Here is a nice little introduction to Jaden, a like-able gal who's about to get her socks (among other things) knocked off. This sample is a perfect tease for the upcoming book, The Winemaker's Dinner (7/31).
