Rate this book
Welcome back to charming Blue Arrow Lake as temptation sizzles in a glittering new romance from USA Today bestselling author Christie Ridgway...

Blue-collar landscaper Brett Walker has no interest in the Hollywood vacationers flocking to his hometown in the California mountains. But the scarred ex-soldier does have a duty to protect Blue Arrow Lake—and the family ski resort—from a serial burglar. So when he suspects a break-in, he takes action…and ends up catching sinfully tempting down-on-her-luck heiress Angelica Rodriguez. She reminds him of trouble, but he can't deny her a safe place to stay—in one of his cabins.

Angelica has plenty of reasons to distrust—losing her money to her father's legal woes being one of them. Getting up close and naughty with rough, tough and sexy Brett tempts her out of her comfort zone and into the arms of a man who's not from her wealthy world. She's after safety and he's chasing justice, but the fire between them might reveal that all they want is each other.

My Review:
Overall, I've enjoyed this entire series. It's the story of four siblings who've inherited a mountain resort...this is my kind of setting. In this mountain community, the locals are leery of the flat-landers, which is what Angelica is.

Angelica is the pampered daughter of a man who's been convicted of financial crimes. Suddenly she finds herself locked out of her home, and her father has emptied out all her accounts of HER money that she earned modeling. Immediately, I felt empathy for her character. It doesn't take long before she's sleeping in her car, but she's willing to work.

Brett doesn't trust Angelica...or anyone for that matter. He's upfront with all his women...one night...no more. But with her, he can sense that she needs help and his innate need to protect comes to the forefront, whether he wants it to or not.

While I enjoyed this book and I really loved the setting, I wasn't riveted. Honestly my favorite part of the story was the mystery of Zan...I'm so ready for that book. I loved the glimpses of romance that we get to see between Mac and him. I also loved the side romance between Kyle and Grace...I really could have dealt with them as the main couple as there seemed to be a little more sexual tension to their story than we got with Brett and Angelica. But it's not that I didn't like their story. It just wasn't as suspense filled as it could have been. There's also a bit of a mystery to the story that was disappointing in that it was so obvious...at least to me...and I never figure out who did it or why.

The book was enjoyable. No, it wasn't the best in the series, but they can't all be that. I liked the story and the characters and the setting. And I loved getting to see the characters from the first story. Now, bring on Zan and Mac...I NEED to know more!

Note: Although I think that cover is beautiful, it's so not right for this story. This is a book set in the fall, on the cusp of winter. It's an issue because the heroine knows that if she's going to stay in town she has to get a new car for the coming snow. The cover should reflect that.

I received a complimentary copy of this book in return for an honest review.

Good book. Brett is the oldest of the Walker siblings. He came back to Blue Arrow Lake after his time in the military and started his landscaping business. He takes care of the lawns of the rich tourists who come to the lake each summer. He's also been keeping an eye open for a burglar who has been hitting those summer houses. When he spots an intruder at one of the houses, he's surprised to find Angelica - who lived in that house - behaving in a suspicious manner.

Angelica is the daughter of a wealthy financier who has been arrested for fraud. His accounts have been frozen and she's no longer able to stay in the house. To top it off, her father had helped himself to her money also, so now she's broke and homeless. She sneaked into the house to get some of her clothes and other things while she still could. Being discovered by Brett, the man she'd been crushing on all summer, was not her idea of cosmic justice.

I really liked Angelica. She isn't one to feel sorry for herself, she just picks herself up and carries on. She has found a part time job working with her friend Glory at the hardware store and is living in the local cheap motel, until it shuts down for the season. She also has more than her share of pride, and spends two nights sleeping in her car rather than ask for help. I loved the way that she took to living in the mountain town, where she quickly made a place for herself among people who are slow to accept strangers.

I liked Brett too, though he was a little harder to warm up to. He has a reputation as a serial dater and confirmed bachelor. He doesn't allow any woman to get too close, having been burned before. He feels that he has lost the ability to love or be loved, at least in his own eyes. But his caring relationship with his family shows otherwise, and that same protectiveness comes out when he's around Angelica.

I liked the development of their relationship. First up is the obvious chemistry between them, but both try to resist it. That doesn't work for long, as the attraction is just too strong. Though he tries to tell himself that he doesn't trust her, Brett can't help but watch out for her. I especially loved his reaction to her sleeping in her car, and what he did about it. There's still a lot of antagonism between them, as Brett's mistrust is obvious and she refuses to put up with it. I really liked seeing her blow his expectations every time. Every time they start to get a little closer, Brett gets spooked and does something to put distance between them. He's not very good at thinking before he speaks, and manages to say some rather cruel things while trying to protect himself. He always apologizes, in his own rather bumbling way, which comes across as a bit sweet and vulnerable. I ached a bit for Angelica, because she knew her feelings and what she wanted, but couldn't get Brett to let go of his own issues to see what they could have together. He almost left it too long, but in the end got it right. He did have a rather unusual "big moment" in how and when he confessed his feelings.

There was a secondary love story involving Glory and a newcomer named Kyle. There's definitely attraction between them. But Glory has spent most of her life working the family hardware store and doesn't see that changing anytime soon. Kyle is very interested in her and unceasing in his pursuit of her. But there's something about him that she doesn't know and it would put a whole different outlook on what she's starting to feel. I really liked Kyle's patience, though he should have told her the truth sooner. He could also see that she wasn't as happy with her future as she thought she was. It was interesting to see how hard she was fighting against what her heart wanted. I loved the scene at the hardware store at the end when she made her decision.

I liked seeing more of Brett's sisters and their lives. It was neat to see how Poppy (Take My Breath Away) and Sage (Make Me LoseControl) were doing after they found their HEAs. It was fun to see how close they all are and the support that is always there if needed. I also enjoyed seeing them all weigh in on Brett's life and relationship with Angelica. I liked getting to know Mac a little better and can't wait to read the story of her and Zan.

There was also a little bit of suspense running through the book. There had been a rash of burglaries around the town, and everyone was on edge wondering who it could be. I had a suspicion of who it was fairly early on and just had to wait to see if I was right. The motivation was also important, and was a little bit of a lead in to the next book.

3.75 Hearts I will start by saying that by the end of the book I really enjoyed it. I had a hard time in the beginning. Brett seemed rude and had a preconceived notion of rich people. He seemed a bit egotistical as well and he really didn’t sit well with me. Yes there is a reason behind his attitude but for some reason it didn’t read right if you know what I mean. Angelica is someone I liked. She has had a lot thrown at her quickly and yet is still ok with what is going on. I spent the first half of the book wanting to ask her why she was interested in Brett and telling her to get over it.

But then something changed (mostly). Brett easied a little and I found I liked him. I never really fell for him. Until the near end of the book I am not sure there was a lot of chemistry. Well that may not be right. There was chemistry and then not and then there is and then there’s not….. I have read the first two books in the series and Brett has always seemed this way to be honest so I wasn’t expecting to fall for him but I still enjoyed the story. Like I said Angelica is great. She is the type of woman we should all try to be (again, mostly). She falls but gets back up. She proves she is not some richie rich that can’t do anything, no matter how many times Brett treats her that way. She works hard and still smiles.

Like I said I enjoyed the story even though it took me a little bit to get into it but once I was I liked it. I look forward to Mac and Zan’s story next.

2-1/2 stars.

I haven't read the other books in the Cabin Fever Series but this one was cute.

After losing her fortune, Angelica Rodriguez is down on her luck and needs to find a job as soon as possible. She meets landscaper Brett Walker, who through a series of unlikely events, offers her a job. I enjoyed Angelica and Brett's relationship. They were fun and sweet. Unfortunately, I had a hard time getting in to this story and relating to Angelica. I really liked Brett a lot and thought they were cute together, but this story was just meh for me.

I will definitely be checking out the other books in this series, and I think you'll like Can't Fight This Feeling if you're looking for a quick, sweet romantic read with not much drama and a little bit of suspense thrown in.

This book #3 in the Cabin Fever Series and it does not disappoint with the recurring characters that makes you fall in love, an interesting plot that is emotional and so well written that you feel like you are right there in Blue Arrow Lake. The lust sizzles between the H/H that makes love a temptation that won't be denied.
Christie created a work of art that is sassy, sexy, and addictive!
Can't wait for Mac and Zan's story....

One Night is my first read by Christie Ridgway, it is the third book in the One & Only series and I didn't feel as if I missed out on the first two in order to enjoy this story. It did leave me wanting to read and find out about the characters in the first two books.

Brett Walker is not your ordinary alpha male character, he is a grumpy landscaper and a brother to three sisters ( 2 of which are planning a wedding). Brett has a past that carries a heavy burden and heartbreak it has also kept him far away from falling in love and wanting that happy ever after. He can't help himself when it comes to Angelica Rodriguez, he has her pegged for an uptight wealthy woman looking for that richie rich type of man. Why would she even look twice at a man who works with dirt and with his hands? His push pull need for her had me frustrated, because the connection is so felt right off the pages.

Angelica Rodriguez has had her sights set on Brett ever since she noticed him working on the landscape at the resort she used to stay in when she was younger. Now that Angelica's father has taken everything from her she finds herself needing a place to live and a job. Angelica finds solace on Blue Arrow Lake, she is offered a job and a cabin, the only problem is that it has Brett Walker written all over them. Being his neighbor and working for his sisters will take all the strength she needs to control her desire for this gorgeous man who can drive her crazy. I loved that even though Angelica is struggling with the obstacles that are being thrown at her by her father's actions, she stayed optimistic.

I really enjoyed this story, it's funny, heartfelt, frustrating, sexy and has a little suspense. Once the connection between Brett and Angelica is felt, it upped the story for me because the emotions were felt. We also get a surprise love story thrown in there with another couple, which I found cute and endearing. This story also left me wanting to no more about Brett's sister Mackenzie and Zan, so I can't wait for One Love. I have to say there is a lot going on in this story, characters coming left and right. Surprisingly, I found that I didn't mind that. I would recommend this 4 Star contemporary romance, it has heart pouring off the pages.

This was a great romance between two people who are drawn to reach other in so many ways, but just don’t think it’s a good idea. You know the way that happens, right? He’s cute and you’ve got great chemistry but you’re not staying … Or he’s leaving, or he’s not what you’ve got planned or vise versa. But you just can’t stop! I really enjoyed the way the author brought them both to life.

Angelica had grown up rich in things but very poor in emotions. Neither of her parents had shown her any love and their six marriages–or was it seven?–had given her little faith in marriage, love, or happily ever after. What surprised her was how much she loved living in this small town and becoming part of the community. She especially loved getting to know her friend Holly and meeting some of the characters in the small town. She also was very fortunate to meet the Walker family. Not only did she gain a job with Mac, she got a place to live and some more female friends. However, she had a suspicion that her feelings for their brother Brett were more than friendly. She was determined to ignore them, though. Who needs love?

Brett had almost as little faith in marriage as Angelica did. His own experiences with love had been horrible, and his parents tumultuous relationship had soured him early. Two of his sisters had found happily ever after, but he still didn’t buy it. Meeting Angelica changed nothing, or so he thought.

When push comes to shove and the romantic suspense reaches a head, maybe these two will realize what their feelings actually are. Naughty, sexy fun with these two characters from an author I’ve always loved. Great summer read!

Every time I read a book by this author, I get that warm fuzzy feeling and this book is no exception. It adds a little laughter into the mix along with the love and emotions of each character.

This time it is the Walker brother who is the focus. He lives in one of the family cabins near Blue Arrow Lake and works as a landscaper, something he has done for many years. On his way home, he gets pulled over by the local law enforcement asking him to watch out for unusual activity. There have been several break-ins around the lake and he works at many of the homes.

In doing so, he sees lights at the Rodriguez house, stops to see what he can learn, and finds out that his one time girlfriend Angelica, is prowling in her father’ house. What he doesn’t know is that she’s come back to hide out there after her father has been arrested for swindling millions from his clients. She has nowhere to go and comes here to stay until they take the house away as well.

Brett doesn’t trust her and he certainly doesn’t plan to be burned by her again. But the soft side of him offers to let her live in the cabin next to him. So he can keep an eye on her. That’s what he tells himself. She needs someone to take care of her. After all, there are thieves in the area. Funny at times, and serious at others, I enjoyed this book for its departure from the other books in the series.

I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. No compensation was promised or received for this review.

One Night (One & Only Book 3) may be my favorite of the series, at least it is so far. I always enjoy a heroine who when faced with major problems in life, rolls up her sleeves and works through them. That pretty much sums up Angelica, plus she stays optimistic and emotional strong too. Grumpy Brett needs an enduring ray of sunshine like Angelica in his life. He is one lucky guy to find her. In One Night, his past comes to light which I have been interested in knowing after his appearances in his sisters’ story.

If you haven’t read first two books in the series that will not present a problem I n reading this one first. This reissue and revised book stands well on its own. I did not read the previous edition which was part of the Cabin Fever Series so I cannot comment on how much change in the book has happened with this new version. What I can say is that Christie Ridgway writes an in-depth story with characters of worth allowing the reader to delve deep into their hearts and minds. I enjoy the romance but I love watching the characters of hers grow, change, embracing the possibility a lasting love. Not without plenty of ups and downs, twists and turns on the journey, mind you. Angelica and Brett do exactly that in One Night. Awesome read.

The publisher/author gave me a complimentary ARC of the book.

Book 3 of the series is about Brett Walker, the only male in the family of four siblings. While their parents were not the best example of marriage, Poppy and Shay have found their other half and engaged to be married. Brett and his other sister Mac carry scars of past loves that hurt them and they have both closed off their hearts. Brett also carries mental scars from being in Afghanistan. So although he has been eying Angelica Rodriguez all summer, he believes she is way out of his league. He doesn't realize that she has had her eyes on him too and that she is not the shallow wealthy woman he believes she is. She has her own problems. Her father not only defrauded his clients but stole all her savings. Now she needs to pick up the pieces of her life. With the friends she made up in the mountain community, she finds work a place to live and eventually someone who loves her. What happened to Brett in Afghanistan that gives him nightmares? Who broke his heart? Why happened to Angelica that she fears the dark? Who is behind all the burglaries? Where are Charlie and Linus? Except for the last question, the others are al answered in the book. Another terrific read by Christie Ridgway. I read an ARC as part of a the author's Facebook group.

This is the third book in the Cabin Fever Novels by Christie Ridgway and I really enjoyed this story. We have Angelica Rodriguez who had been one of the flatlanders who came up the mountain to vacation with her family but not now. Her father stole money from his clients in his financial business and evens stole what money Angelica had saved away for her future. Now she is faced with no money, no job and no place to live. Brett Walker and his family have lived in the mountains their whole life and he feels responsible for it's citizens and when there is a rash of break-ins, he checks out a house with a little light coming from the downstairs. It was only Angelica trying to retrieve some of her clothing from the house that the bank had taken over when her father did not pay the bills. He had noticed Angelica during the summer when he worked at her family estate but knew she was a flatlander and did not want to get involved with her. This is a great story of how Angelica pulls herself up and starts working wherever she can so that she can afford someplace to live. It shows that not everyone who is rich, is privileged and not all flatlanders are out for just money. Great read.

Angelica has been tormenting Brett all summer. Brett is a landscaper & is not about to give in. After all, Angelica is a spoiled, rich, pampered princess & isn't really interested in him. Brett is sure she just wants to go slumming. He's determined to resist their chemistry.

Angelica was rich, spoiled & pampered until her dad was arrested on fraud charges. She's locked out of her house, her belongings are confiscated & her dad had managed to access her personal funds & steal those too. Now she's penniless & homeless. She's managed to pick up a couple of part time jobs. Can she change Brett's mind about getting involved?

I enjoyed the characters & the plot. Brett has to get past his assumptions about Angelica & learn to trust again. Angelica has to get past a childhood trauma. As a single child of divorced parents, then a model, Angelica is used to being alone & lonely so it's hard to trust motives. I love the interactions between the various characters & the way they add to the story. The chemistry between Brett & Angelica is intense & the make out scenes are intense. There is also the buildup in tension regarding Zan & Mac. I can't wait for their book!

The perfect follow up to “One Look” and “One Kiss”. Brett Walker is the lone male sibling in the Walker clan and he takes his duties as big brother seriously. He is intrigued by newcomer Angelica Rodriguez, who has found a safe haven among the Walkers. He wants Angelique, but is fighting the attraction due to issues from his past. He tries to stay away from Angelique, but finds that increasingly difficult. Angelique’s father has been arrested for swindling both money from investors as well as Angelique. She yearns for a place to belong and is trying to avoid the media frenzy about her father. Angelique learns that she must stand up for herself and I admire the way Ms. Ridgway enables this character to grow and mature. I always enjoy Ms. Ridgway’s books, her storyline, her characters, add in a little mystery and this book has everything you could ask for. I am so looking forward to the next title in this series and I really enjoy the way that the characters from the previous two books are involved in this book. I received a copy of this book in order to give an honest review and I truly enjoyed the book. (by paytonpuppy)

One Night is another great read by author, Christie Ridgway. One Night is book 3 in the One and Only series about The Walker family. In this book, we the reader are introduced to the characters of Brett Walker, mountain man landscaper and Angelica Rodriguez. These two characters come from opposite sides of the spectrum. Angelica was raised with wealthy parents and Brett was raised by very hardworking parents. Their lives are about to change. Angelica's world has just been turned upside down by a betrayal by her father. Brett's world has been rocked by the death of his parents. The author takes us on a wonderful roller coaster ride with Brett and Jessica's journey to find true love and happiness. Throughout their story they both have to learn to trust their feelings about each other and they need to realize that their beliefs about each other are totally misguided. The sexual chemistry between these two characters that develops is off the charts. After reading this book, I was exhausted but exhilarated by the ride that the author had taken me on. I would definitely recommend reading this book. I believe you will enjoy this book as much as I did. This is a 4 star read. - By Julie

I loved the characters in this book! There were actually two different romantic relationships in this book. The main one is that of Angelica and Brett. Angelica has been hurt by the actions of her super wealthy father who has schemed people out of their investments and is basically hiding from the press and regrouping in the mountains. Mountain man landscaper Brett has been attracted to her in the past, but doesn't trust any woman. When he discovers Angelica has been sleeping in her car, his protective side is roused. The close proximity of the two that results brings on the romance. I absolutely loved Brett. He's an awesome character.
The other romance in the book is between Angelica's friend Glory and Kyle. Their romance was just as good as the first. Glory doesn't take chances or trust easily. Kyle is from down the mountain, which makes him suspect to start with as far as Glory is concerned. By the time he comes clean about his history, will it be too late for him to win her heart?
Ridgway did an incredible job with all of these characters. This book was a redo of the original entitled Can't Stop This Feeling.

One Night by Christie Ridgway is book three in her One and Only. This is actually a revised version of her book Can't Fight This Feeling with extra scenes added. This is Brett Walker and Angelica Rodriguez’s story. Brett has struggled since returning from his enlistment but believes it is his duty to protect Blue Arrow Lake. Angelica might have been raised in a wealthy family but with her father’s legal problems, she has no money to her name. Brett and Angelica are so good together and I loved the way they worked together to find the person responsible for the burglaries occurring around the lake.

Ms. Ridgway is a wonderful story teller, making me feel as if I was right there in Blue Arrow Lake. This story was sexy, fun, and entertaining with very likeable and authentic characters. I also enjoyed seeing the rest of Brett’s family pop up in this story. I definitely recommend this book to other readers.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

This is Book 3 in the One & Only series. It was previously published as Can’t Fight This Feeling in the Cabin Fever series. It has been updated. I honestly didn’t feel as though I was rereading this book. The updates are seamless.

Brett Walker is a landscaper at Blue Arrow Lake where his family owns some cabins that one of his sisters is in the process of renovating. He is accustomed to working for the wealthy people who have vacation homes there. Angelica Rodriguez is one of them. What Brett doesn’t know is that her father has made off with her money and she doesn’t have two nickels to rub together. Can she convince him that their attraction to one another has nothing to do with dollars and everything to do with the people they are?

I have thoroughly enjoyed this entire series and am looking forward to Book 4.

3.5 Stars!

This was not my favorite of the series, but it was still a good read and it is written by Christie Ridgway, so I automatically wanted to read it.

Brett is closed off and kind of a jerk. Angelica is determined, proud and down on her luck. The connection sparks between them, but Brett fights it at every turn. He has a preconceived notion of Angelica and it takes him forever to change his mind. It took me a bit to warm up to Angelica, but she grew on me. I really wanted them to work out and I liked that Ridgway wrote them both as a bit untrusting. It made that moment when they woke up and realized what they needed was right in front of them so much better.

While I didn't necessarily connect with Brett and Angelica as I have with characters in the previous books, I did enjoy the story and, as usual, Ridgway's writing is great!

I love this series. Each of the Walker children are a bit alike but also are unique. Brett is more cynical than his sisters and is distrustful of love. Enter Angelica, who reminds us to not believe what we see on the surface of a person. She comes off as a person who has had everything go her way, but couldn't be further from the truth. Both have been hurt by people they loved. In this installment of the series, both Brett and Angelica are able to put the hurts from their past aside and build a future together. The side story of Glory and Kyle was a good reminder of following your dreams instead of the expectations of others. It was good to catch up with Poppy, Ryan, Jace, and Shay. I enjoyed learning more about Mac and am looking forward to her story with Zan. I received an advanced copy for an honest review.

Loved this book! This was Brett and Angelica's story. Brett Walker had a landscaping business and he tended to Angelica's Dad's lawn around their mansion on the lake. Angelica found herself homeless and penniless when her dad, and investor, was arrested for stealing from his clients and herself. After learning she was sleeping in her car, Mac, Brett's sister gave her a job with her cleaning service and let her stay in the cabin next to Brett's which led to fireworks. Brett and Angelica's chemistry was combustible and the road to their HEA was not easy but you will have to read the book to find out, you will not be disappointed. I loved Glory and Kyle's story too. I highly recommend this book and series and look forward to reading Mac and Zan's story next. I received and ARC copy of this book in exchange for my voluntary review.

This was a well-written, sweet, fun book. Angelica's father has swindled her savings away, and now she just wants a place where she can belong, find a job and make friends. Brett has two sisters who are about to get married, but he's not ready to commit to any woman - especially Angelica, a visitor to the mountain area he calls home. Then one of his sisters gives her a job and his other sister says she can stay at the family cabins, making her his next door neighbor. There is also a mystery involving break-ins occurring around town that comes closer and closer to Angelica and Brett. This book can be read as a standalone story, though it is the third in a series with related characters. I have enjoyed every book in the series and look forward to reading more books in this series as well as other books by this author.

This is book #3 in the One & Only series.  Angel goes to the mountains where she spent her summers because of what her father did and his name/face being on the news.  She needs to get away from it all.  Brett has 2 sisters getting married and they want him to be happy and find love, too.  Both Angel and Brett came from different backgrounds.  How can these 2 find love together?  They do have something in common...they both have been hurt by someone they loved.

I can not wait to read the next book in this series, One Love and the rest in this series.  Written well.

Brett Walker is a landscaper at Blue Arrow Lake and he enjoys the peace and quiet that he has found there. He has no interest in a relationship especially with a city girl and isn’t shy about letting everyone know.

Angelica was living a privileged lifestyle until her dad’s actions changed everything. Needing to get away she heads to Blue Arrow Lake as she enjoyed it as a child so that she can try and rebuild her life.

As they spend time together they realize that there is much more to each other than what first appears but they have both been betrayed in the past so will they be willing to open up their hearts to love and trust someone again? I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

This book is the third in a series about a family living in the mountains of California. Blue Arrow Lake is a resort town, so it depends on business from the “flatlanders” while maintaining a distrust of them. Brett Walker is a landscaper who bears scars not only from his time in Afghanistan, but from the viciousness of a former love interest. Angelica is a former rich girl whose world turns upside down when her father steals not only from his investors, but from her own savings. She cheerfully accepts her fate, finding work in the local hardware store as well as working as a maid for Brett’s sister MacKenzie. This book is full of spicy scenes, but the overall story is wonderful and had me breathing a sigh at the end.

How is it that two people who have nothing in common fit together so perfectly? Perhaps, it's because they share a common bond. Betrayal by the person they held most dear. One Night relates the careful rebuilding of broken trust, shattered dreams and the merging of two souls. Angelica's plight is one of surprising strength. This seemingly pampered rich girl is left twisting in the wind when heartbreaking truths come to light. Now it's up to her to discover what she's capable of and whom to trust with her deepest secrets and her broken heart. Ms. Ridgway has an endearing way of spinning emotional tales into thoughtful lessons of courage and optimism.

Angelica has lost everything; her home, her life savings, her family relationships and any friends she might have had. She's been alone for a while, but most of the locals of Blue Arrow Lake have been very welcoming.
Brett doesn't want to like Angelica. He thinks she's an incredibly beautiful, spoiled princess that will leave once winter comes. Brett has had enough drama with 'flatlanders' to last him a lifetime and he's not going to risk his heart on Angelica when she's clearly a flight risk.
The southern California mountains are a lovely backdrop for this charming love story about two lonely souls finding each other so that One Night can become forever.

I enjoyed this reissue in the One & Only series (previously Cabin Fever Series). I wasn't as engrossed in this one as with the others, but it was still really good. Brett and Angelica's story was a fun read. I liked finding out more about Brett's past which explains his personality. Angelica is an inspiring character. Despite all the obstacles she is facing in her life due to her father's actions, she remains optimistic about her future. Really can't wait for the final book to learn about Mac & Zan.
