The God Tools #2

Evil in the Beginning

Rate this book
In the riverside town of Green Cove Springs, Florida, the freshwater spring at the city park briefly turns blood-red, startling onlookers. Moments later, the last of the discolored water flows into the stream and empties into the river.

Only one man knows this event is a prelude to evil.

Dr. Curt Lohan and Scott Marks return in the sequel to Death in the Beginning when they discover a hidden cave near the St. Johns River. The cave contains remnants of an ancient cross-oceanic expedition by one of the most enigmatic civilizations that ever inhabited the Earth. As sinister characters emerge in the small town and people begin to disappear, the terrifying truth becomes evident: the magnificent archaeological site holds a dark secret that has been unleashed on the world.

Great continuation with a cliffhanger ending. The first several chapters seemingly introduce new characters every chapter, but by the midway point many of these characters start meeting up. And by the end of the story, the first and second God Tools are revealed... and a clock has started up for one of our heroes. Will the other hero save the day in time in book three? That is left for us to find out...

Fantastical, yet gripping, story of ancient beings re-emerging in Florida, leading toward the ending of our known world.

Evil in the Beginning is a fantastic book that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. Congratulations to the writing team of Gary Williams & Vicky Knerly for once again coming up with a story that will grab ahold of you and won't let go! I high recommend this book to anyone who likes to read a book that has a lot of twists and turns and gets your heart beating a little faster with each turn of the page!

It took forever to get through this book and then I wished I hadn't wasted my time!

It almost seems as if the authors had a bunch of threatening story lines, mixed them together without thought of how they would all intersect and then added a trite "ending" which I'm sure will conveniently lead to a sequel. I read their novel "Indisputable Proof" previously and I loved it! Its hard to believe that the same authors wrote both books.

Good Read

Anyone who loves a spin on History as we know it...Will find this book a great ride as it spins you through the story of Noah and the Ark!
I was raised on some of the stories in the Holy Bible (thank you Dee Kelly , my mom for teaching me them) even though I don't practice those teachings. They come in handy when I desire a " Good Book" to read ! (No pun intended).
As the saying goes "things happen for reason" .

This second book in The God Tools Series was a great read. It started off with a bang with characters that we came to know and love in book 1 and never let off of the gas. The descriptions of northeast Florida were so accurate and made me miss my home town. I loved the feeling of unease throughout the book, as we never could relax and feel that our characters were safe. I was not ready for the story to end, and am now eager for the release of book 3.

Wow! This book, second of the trilogy, is also an absolutely first class adventure, too!

This has been one of the best adventure thrill rides I have been on while sitting still! Nothing but Five Stars for this trilogy! If you like complex action and adventure, good versus evil storylines, join the many of us who have made or are on this journey. You will not be disappointed! I'm starting the final book now!

Very strange

You really must read the first book of this series in order for this book to make some sense. That said, I was not greatly impressed with this book.

You almost need a score card to keep track of the players. The premise of this book makes little sense, it's very disjointed.

I am not sure if I will read the last book in the series.

No I don't know why I read this one when I didn't even like the first one. This one was even more bananas. I REALLY wanted it to be good. Like the first time you read DaVinci Code and were just like whoaaaaaaa coooooool! - I want that again.

Informative

Kept me reading, looking for clues, and searching and confirming geographical and historical parts of the book. Being an amateur of bibical and also historical research this novel keeps you captured and involved.

Good job

Very good book, fast paced and very enjoyable. Combining all the characters from the different books really gave the book more information into our characters.
