Heather McVea was raised in a small town south of San Antonio, Texas. Prior to escaping to the big city, she raised Hampshire pigs, rode motorcycles at entirely too young an age, and once snow boarded behind a Ford pickup truck. She relishes a strong gin and tonic, or a well-made old-fashioned (but never at the same time). Heather and her wife have three furbabies, and divide their time between Texas and Maryland.

earlier works?

I read this authors “Waking” series and it was amazing. It makes me wonder if this was some of her earlier works. This was not up to the same level although the premise of the story was great, but the story itself was blah. The characters didn’t make sense to me. I couldn’t get a feel for them and didn’t really feel a connection in any way. That’s just too bad.

Issues with pacing, seemed to take ages to get going then there was a timeskip then it was over.

Cute Little Love Story

Very quick read. Loved the characters, with the exception of one, and their interactions. Happy they found their happy ending.

Very quick read. Enjoyed but for such a short novel felt like the story dragged at times.

Hmmm

I normally don't get short books, but this one sounded interesting. It was short and sweet. I liked the characters and storyline.
