I received a free copy of this book through the Read It Forward program from Crown Publishing.
This book makes a great coffee table book! Any drinker will learn something interesting about their favorite alcohol. The charts primarily detail the process of making various alcohol, where the alcohol is made, and the various varieties found in that alcohol. There are also charts detailing the components of famous mixed drinks made using the various alcohols. Then there are some occasional additions about the serving containers of various alcohol, celebrities and alcohol, fictional alcohol, etc. that I actually found the most entertaining of all. Overall, this serves as a very comprehensive book and is basically the new style of a subject specific encyclopedia on a topic. This isn't really a book to sit down and read, but is great to pick up and look at the diagrams and discover something new. There's so much detail you won't be able to take it all in the first time through. The design of the book is beautiful. I hope that Pop Chart Labs will make more books on other topics in the future!
