5 Glimmering Stars

If you haven’t read any books by Beth Kery, YOU.NEED.TO.READ.THIS.ONE.

Glimmer is a bam, in-your-face, sexy read. I was captivated, I was seduced and I couldn’t put it down. It was a delightful and happy surprise.

Dylan Durand is CEO of Durand Inc. The company recruits potential managers by having the new hires go through a training process at their camp. The camp is focuses towards under privileged kids, by providing a positive outlet. The new hires are in charge a set of kids to lead throughout the duration of the camp.

Alice just graduated and is surprised to find out that she landed a spot at the camp. She isn’t like the other hires. She doesn’t come from money and she doesn’t have connections.

But Dylan sees something in Alice during the interview and gives Alice a chance.

You’re a goddess disguised as a bad-girl math geek.

I love when Dylan and Alice first meet. Alice goes in for an interview and Dylan is very polished and sophisticated. Alice doesn’t fumble during the interview, but her sassy mouth kind of gets her into trouble and she thinks she blows the interview. It’s completely adorable and cute.

I knew I was going to love this book.

When Alice first arrives at the camp, it’s very apparent how different she is compared to the other hires. Some of them, like the girls kind of ignore her or make snarky comments. Of course there is someone (other than Dylan) who has interests in her and I love it!

Dylan shows up at the camp and you know where this is going! Dylan and Alice have great chemistry. I think what I loved about their relationship is that it wasn’t insta-love. Yes there’s incredible sexual tension, but I liked how they wanted to get to know each other.

You don’t even know me

I know more than you think. And what I don’t know, I’m going to discover.

What I really enjoyed is the mystery element of the book. There are some suspenseful parts and it sets a perfect background tone to the read. It’s kind of eerie, but completely addictive. You question who Dylan is, why is Alice paranoid, what secrets are Dylan keeping and what will happen to Alice?!

But during it all, the steamy scenes were the best! Oh my. Beth Kery did not disappoint. Glimmer is very kinky, but tasteful and very satisfying. I’m just being honest.

If he possessed her, he could control what happened to her. He could keep her- and in turn, a part of himself – safe and inviolate.

I can’t say it enough. I loved this book. I was completely surprised on everything. I loved the plot, the characters and the suspenseful parts. The book just worked from me. READ IT!

Glimmer by Beth Kery was a scorchingly hot and sexy read!!! I am completely spell-binded and bewitched with this deliciously intriguing erotically charged romance filled with twist and turns.

Glimmer is defined as a faint sign of a feeling or quality, especially a desirable one. In this erotically charged romance, Ms. Kery was able to enchant her readers on a story that was packed with so much emotions, vulnerabilities, and raw sexuality. She was able to weave so many elements of surprise, desire and sex into the story-line that you couldn't help but be mesmerized in what surprises and turn of events Ms. Kery has in store for her readers. As a reader, we are given a glimmer of love, trust, hope, desire, romance, and suspense that was brewing between Alice Reed and Dylan Fall.

Alice Reed is a recent MBA graduate who was selected among the pool of Ivy League graduates for a spot in Durand Inc. The company recruits potential candidates by having the new hires through a summer training process at the Durand camp. The camp focuses on helping under privileged kids explore their talents. Alice is among a selected few hired to help these kids. Unlike the other candidates, Alice could relate to the kids since she knew what it was like growing up on the other side of the tracks. So it completely surprised Alice that she was chosen for the summer camp spot, since she didn't graduate from an ivy league school, has no money, and no connection. But little did she knew she made quite an impression on the CEO of Durand Inc, Dylan Fall.

Dylan Fall is unlike any man that Alice has met. He intrigues her and compells her to let go and explore this new forbidden desire that has been developing between them. In their secret and forbidden love affair, Alice was suddenly awakened with a new desire, want and needs. Dylan showed her what her body needed and craved. When Alice and Dylan begins this secretive forbidden romance, lines of emotions and feelings begins to get blurred and obscured. For Dylan and Alice, a glimmer of spark of the possibility of love begins to bloom. But when the ghosts and secrets of the real truth behind Dylan's motives begins to be exposed, will the truth destroy Alice and Dylan. Is there a glimmer of a happily ever after for this couple?

Glimmer was an absolute gem of read. This was my first book that I have read from this author and I must say that Beth Kery is on my list of authors that I must check out. I am completely in love with this book. Ms. Kery did an amazing job in writing such an intriguing romance that was so raw. I loved that Ms. Kery was able to weave elements into this book that kept you compelled in wanting to know more of Alice and Dylan. Glimmer was such an addictive read that I can't wait to see what Ms. Kery has in store for Alice and Dylan in Glow. So if you are looking for a book that was addictive, sexy, forbidden, and filled with mystery then I highly urge you to read Glimmer.

Fantastic read! GLIMMER by Beth Kery is a story that will have your mind constantly wandering with so many possibilities. With such an intriguing and sexy plot, full of twists and turns that will keep you guessing, this page turner is impossible to put down.

This being my first read from author Beth Kery, I didn't know what to expect. In doing some research, I was thinking it would be something along the lines of Sylvia Day's work, but I was pleasantly surprised. This was something different, something mysterious, and something incredibly sexy and I loved every single minute of it. I've never read anything like GLIMMER, and I just love it when that happens. You go in with fresh eyes and an open mind and you get blindsided with how good this truly was. The writing was superb. The characters were to die for with their amazing chemistry and all of the incredibly steamy scenes. Let me tell you ladies, Dylan Fall is to die for. He's gorgeous, successful, and dominant with a tender side. A total swoon worthy babe for sure!

The heroine, Alice Reed was a great character to get to know. Somewhat relatable with her 'don't give a shit' attitude and her smart ass banter, I connected with her right away. She's incredibly smart, but doesn't show it off. She's beautiful, yet she's incredibly down to earth. She is confident, but leery of others who compliment her. She is Dylan Fall's perfect match and yet they couldn't be from more different worlds. When the gorgeous CEO and billionaire takes a liking to Alice, everything changes. What was once a sexy fling is about to become so much more. The sexy CEO is hiding something, and when Alice finally finds out the truth, something shifts inside her and her world is thrown for a loop.

This thrilling and erotic romance will have you panting, and gasping for air. You think you know how this is going to end, but you have no idea! Keep in mind this is only book 1 and GLIMMER does end with a tiny cliffhanger. But it's nothing that will make you lose sleep. GIMMER, however, will stay on your mind for a couple of days after the fact. It will either have you standing up and shouting, 'I KNEW IT!' or you will be shouting, 'WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED?' either way you will have such a fantastic time reading this book. I could not recommend enough. Beth Kery has made a true fan out of me!

Glimmer had that 50 Shades vibe from the beginning but thankfully the writing was so much better and the Dylan Fall is way sexier than that other guy.

Glimmer follows Alice Reed, a recent MBA graduate who has applied for a position at Durand Inc's Camp Durand, a training ground for future executives of the company. Yes, a summer camp for underprivileged kids is a training ground for business executive. I loved that idea. Alice is recruited by Dylan Fall, the 34 year old handsome and very wealthy CEO of Durand Inc.

Right away, Alice and Dylan hit it off. Personally, I found this a little troublesome, Dylan being the boss and all. Alice manages to sneak off to spend time with Dylan. It's a hot, torrid romance and Dylan invites Alice to the Durand mansion which is conveniently located on the grounds of the camp. Dylan and Alice spend a lot of time there.

The intriguing part of the story revolves around why Alice was chosen for the program. I was left with a few unanswered questions that will hopefully be answered in the next book Glow.

I enjoyed this book immensely and it is a perfect summer romance read.

Thank you to NetGalley and Penguin Group Berkeley NAL for a review copy of this book.

First, I'd like to preface this review by saying that I LOVE Beth Kery's work. That's why it hurts to say that I pretty much HATED, I mean almost DNF this book! I am very generous with my 2 1/2 stars. This book is an attempt to combine a mystery with erotica, the story of Dylan and Alice with a lot of blah, blah, blah. The sad truth is that it could have been such a good book without all of the filler. I judge a book partly by the difficulty in putting it down, avoiding pulling the all nighter. I put this one down sometimes after two or three pages. The other very sad part is the price of this snoozer, $9.10.There are so many fabulous stories I could have purchased with my time and money:(

4.5 "Glimmer, Beacon or Boatload of Fireworks?" Stars!

Wow, Glimmer is a scorcher in the heat department, which I was expecting based on the blurb, but what totally caught me off guard, and perhaps I loved the most, was the unexpected intensity of the suspense of this well developed read. Reminding me of a cross between E.L. James' Fifty Shades of Grey and Karen Robards' Dr. Charlotte Stone Series, Glimmer has a little bit of something for nearly every type of romance reader. Glimmer, however, does end in a cliffhanger, so if you want to know the full story, you will need to commit to reading Glow, book 2 in the Glimmer and Glow Series, which is scheduled to be released in December of 2015.

Alice Reed never dreamed that she, a student at a run of the mill business school, would be recruited to participate in the world renowned, summer program at Camp Durand. Given that an internship at Camp Durand could lead to an executive position at Durand, Inc., one of the US's top fortune 200 companies, the nation's top elite MBA students typically fight it out to fill the precious few spots.

As soon as Alice arrives, she realizes just how different she is from the typical candidate, which only causes her to further wonder why Dylan Fall, Durand's CEO, would have taken a chance on her. It doesn't take long, however, for Alice to feel the passionate chemistry that unites them, confirming her unique assets. Rather than fight it, Alice dives head first into the intense and erotic world that Dylan insists on introducing Alice to.

However, after a short while, it becomes clear that Dylan has been less than truthful with her, leaving her to question just what deep dark secrets Dylan is hiding and just what demons from the past Alice may need to battle if she is truly determined to try and seek a rightful place in Dylan's future.

However, just when you think you have the plot figured out, think again, because there is much more depth to this story than just your typical erotic, controlling billionaire with past issues. I loved the intensity of the interactions between Dylan and Alice, but also enjoyed sleuthing the clues that Beth Kery sprinkled throughout the story. Pay close attention because these little nuggets ultimately lead up to the reveal of one wallop of a secret which will completely change the playing field.

I, for one, can't wait to continue Dylan's and Alice's story in Glow! I'm sure more secrets, and lots of boundary pushing erotic episodes, await!

I'm upset on so many levels (cue rant in my angry voice):
1. Alice was this pain in the ass who takes a long time to warm up too.
2. Nothing really happens for the entire book (plot anyone?)
3. The one plot device could be seen from a mile away.
4. It's 384 pages.
5. And none of those 384 pages do more than establish Alice and Dylan like to screw like bunnies.

How is it possible that you can draw a $10 book out that many pages and end on a cliffhanger?! This is not a serial with 80-120 pages. It's a full-length novel and you don't resolve a single conflict? And don't kid yourself into thinking the big reveal is the conflict. IT IS NOT THE CONFLICT! The more I think about it the more pissed off I become.

NOTE TO AUTHORS EVERYWHERE: NOT EVERYTHING NEEDS TO BE TURNED INTO A SERIES OR TRILOGY!!!!

The story was pretty interesting enough, but God, did I struggle to warm up to Alice. Her stubbornness was grating from the start.

I am pretty intrigued to know what it up between Thad ans Brooke. I like that the plot has some mystery to it that really kept me interested to read further.

Alice and Dylan do have an intense chemistry, but that I already expect from BK's main antagonists. No surprises there.

This is the first book by Beth Kery that I’ve read and I’m extremely impressed!

Alice Reed is from the wrong side of the tracks. Growing up with a meth head mother and an absent father no one expected her to break free from the trailer park and graduate with an MBA.

When she gets recruited for an amazing management experience at Camp Durand, she’s extremely surprised, those positions are usually held by Ivy League scholars. She’s even more surprised when no one other than the CEO, Dylan Fall, takes a very special interest in her.

“So you see, I have more than a glimmer of understanding of what you’re experiencing here,” he said. “You feel like an outsider. Part of you is sure that at any moment, someone is going to discover the truth about you, and kick you out on your ass.”

When I first started this book I though it was your typical “alpha boss/intern” story. But I was so wrong. Dylan was very alpha, but in all the best ways. The forbidden romance was still there so it was cute watching Alice and Dylan sneak around.

“I don’t know what it is about you,: he said in a quiet rough voice. “You take me from zero to a hundred in a second flat.”

Alice was a fantastic heroine. She was smart, edgy, and said what was on her mind. She worked her ass off to get out of the trailer park and make something of herself.

As the story progressed, there was a very suspenseful plot. Half the time I was wondering what the heck was going on! I can’t wait for book two to find out ALL the answers.

GLIMMER was edgy and suspenseful with hot, steamy sex. I read it in one sitting and I am so excited to read more about Alice and Dylan.

*First off I want to say thank you to the people at bookbridgr for the copy of this in exchange for a honest review*

Omg where to even start with this book, I seriously hate to not finish a book or bash a book in anyway but this book left me totally annoyed and I had to give up 186 pages in. Soooo annoying....

First off I did not like the characters Alice and Dylan not one bit, Alice I felt had nothing what so ever to her other than a bit of a attitude. And Dylan I didn't feel anything really towards him They all just seemed so bland, nothing really intrigued me about them even the secondary characters I literally cannot remember any of there names (maybe an Alex I think).
Then there was the plot or lack of in my opinion, there was just nothing going on other than the sex which didn't bother but that's all it had going on in it, sorry just not enough for me I need some plot something to keep me hooked. I feel really bad for not liking this but I gave it my all. Halfway through and was still waiting for something, anything really to happen. Promising book one that I was so excited to read but just fell flat for me really ended up disappointed with this.

Up until a few days ago I was a Beth Kery virgin... Shocking, I know! But now I can honestly say that I'll be going back and reading as many books of hers that I can possibly read. Seriously, this woman can write!

Glimmer had me captivated from the very first page and I couldn't put it down. Now I'm patiently waiting dying to get my hands on the sequel, Glow, which will be releasing in December.

The story starts out with Alice, our heroine, preparing for an interview for a position as a camp counselor at Camp Durand. Having grown up in a trailer park on the wrong side of the tracks with a meth head for a mom she feels that she has no hope of being offered the position but figures the interview will be a good learning experience. Of course she isn't expecting her interview to be with the CEO of Durand, Inc., Dylan Fall.

The interview doesn't exactly go that great and when Alice doesn't hear back about the position she begins going on other interviews assuming she didn't get the position. Imagine her surprise when she gets a call a few weeks later and is offered the chance of a lifetime.

As soon as Alice arrives at camp it's obvious she doesn't fit in with the Ivy League grads but quickly uses her snark to put the Ivy League girls in their place. Luckily, she does manage to make friends with a few of the guys, and even catches one of their attention. I thought maybe there might be a bit of a love triangle at first but that idea was quickly squashed, thankfully!

It isn't until the end of her first week at camp that Alice runs into Dylan at a fancy dinner at the Durand Castle, which happens to be where Dylan has lived since becoming CEO of Durand, Inc. The attraction between the two upon their second meeting is immediate but since she's trying to become an employee of Durand, Inc. nothing becomes of it at first.

But let me tell you, when Dylan and Alice do get together... It's smoking hot! I'm talking the best sex scenes I've read in a long time, hands down! The chemistry these two have is amazing and the way Alice gives up control so freely to Dylan's dominant side... Absolutely perfect!

Most of the book is told in Alice's POV but we do get a couple glimpses into Dylan's head which alerts us the the fact that things may not be exactly what they seem. Strange things have been happening to Alice since she arrived at camp and become even stranger when she starts spending the night in Dylans bed, but Dylan is quick to assuage her fears so maybe it's all in her head? Well, that is where the mystery comes in and it definitely adds a nice twist.

Once it all comes to light you almost want to hate Dylan for making Alice think she was going crazy but at the same time you can't help but love him for being concerned about her and everything she's been through... And once you get their background story you'll definitely forgive Dylan for his over-protectiveness of her.

If you love smoking hot erotic romance with a touch of mystery you should definitely check out Glimmer... And if you're a Beth Kery virgin like I was, I highly suggest you dive in head first and give Glimmer a go!

REVIEW: 4.25 stars--GLIMMER is the first installment in Beth Kery’s new, contemporary, adult erotic romance series focusing on M.B.A. graduate Alice Reed and billionaire CEO of Durand Enterprises Dylan Fall.

The storyline follows Alice as she is recruited for the prestigious Camp Durand-a management trainee program for the best of the best at America’s elite business schools. Alice is all too aware that Durand Enterprises usually recruits from the Ivy League schools and her acceptance into the program comes as a bit of a surprise-Alice grew up in the slums with a drug addicted mother and she attended a lesser known college not on Durand’s radar. Alice’s application interview with Durand CEO Dylan Fall finds Alice both on the offense and defense, but there is an immediate attraction that Alice refuses to acknowledge. As the camp ‘ trainees’ begin their month long management program, Alice begins a secret affair with Dylan Fall.

The relationship between Alice and Dylan is highly sexual and erotic. Dylan likes a little bit of control and kink in the bedroom; there is some definite bondage and discipline play between our couple. But Dylan has a secret that when exposed will change the dynamics of his relationship with Alice; and change Alice’s life forever. The $ex scenes are erotic, exploratory and provocative.

There are several colorful, engaging and interesting supporting characters including a number of fellow management trainee leaders-all vying for the coveted win and a chance to work for Durand Inc.- Thad Schaefer is a young man whose romantic interest in Alice is questionable, and Brooke Seifert who has a history with Thad and several of the other management trainees. We are introduced to Alice’s Red Team camp members-at risk teens from similar backgrounds and low socio-economic status. Camp Durand teams up management trainees with underprivileged kids in an effort to determine who would best be suited at Durand Enterprises. It is a sociological experiment where teams compete against one another and in the process the management trainees vie for a position with Durand Inc. The requisite evil comes in the form of Alice’s main competition-Thad and Brooke.

GLIMMER is an intoxicating and intense storyline with an intriguing premise and exciting twist. Although the build up allowed for a few hints and clues, I realized the ‘truth’ very early on. Beth Kery writes an incredible storyline of loss, love and never giving up.

Review courtesy of Dark Faerie Tales

Quick & Dirty: Fifty Shades of Grey with a surprising twist.

Opening Sentence: “Alice Reed was used to hiding her nerves.”

The Review:

Okay, I admit when I started this I was thinking Fifty Shades of Grey or Crossfire (Sylvia Day) for sure. I did not know how I was going to feel about the book at all. Once I got started it was clear that Alice Reed was our female main character and Dylan Fall was the man. Alice is doing an interview for a position at Camp Durand. Now you see why I thought Fifty Shades of Grey! Alice had snark and wit and I love a strong female character with those qualities, and the sex vibe wasn’t overwhelming. It was there, but they conducted themselves like adults and zero drippy panties and I want to sex you up ensued during the interview.

Now I will say that sexy time doesn’t happen right away, we get some build up (not between our lovers but other characters) and we get some kind of background on Alice. Once the dinner party happens and we get the second interaction between Dylan and Alice I began to wonder if there was some kind of paranormal vibe happening in the book. Alice hears a gong (like a dinner gong) but no else seems to know what she heard. Sexy time hits strong when the author gets there, unlike romance novels there isn’t a major build up or strong emotions other than lust when the two get down and dirty. If you have ever read straight romance novels you know what I mean, contemporary romance can get to business quickly. That makes me feel a little old fashioned, not that I am prude but I don’t think sex equals love nor does it always lead to love, so I prefer the relationship get established first. That being said, Beth Kery really can write some fantastic sex scenes.

I am not an uber fan of just sex books, so I will say I enjoyed this one. There was enough other stuff going on that I didn’t feel like I was reading a smut book. And that is just my personal opinion on what I like and don’t like in a book. There is an element of mystery that did not turn out to be paranormal as I suspected earlier in the book, but “spoilers” I am not going to tell you that mystery because it’s key to the story. I will say it’s definitely not paranormal but a good old fashioned mystery filled with kidnapping, and a lost girl.

I really liked this book, it was a good fast read with just enough of everything to keep me reading and wanting more. Ha — there are more books coming out and I for one have to know what happens next.

Notable Scene:

Normally I would throw in some quotes from the book here, but there was a scene in the book that I thought was just awesome and empowering. Alice is counseling Judith who is a young troubled teenager about being a leader and protecting her team. That scene was golden and totally stuck with me throughout the rest of the book.

“Yeah, in part,” Alice agreed. “As you probably know, the counselors are expected to choose a student team leader this weekend.”

“So?”

“After watching you with Jill all week, and after seeing how you managed to get past your pride last night and say something meaningful to Darcy, I was considering making you team leader. The kids respect you, grudgingly at times, given your attitude, but they do. They’d follow you.”

I would like to thank the publisher for providing me with a copy of Glimmer for review.

Beth Kery is one of my favorite writers in this genre, andother HOT and SEXY read!!! She has a way making the material fresh and intriguing. This story was one I was unsure of at first, and didn't think I was going to like but of course Beth didn't disappoint with Glimmer. Everything I was assuming and thought I knew was wrong. The relationships were amazing, and the twists made me so happy with the direction this book took.

Alice Reed, has just graduated, and really wants to get into a management training program. She has an interview that will determine if she will be accepted into this prestigious program. She soon finds out that the man that was supposed to interview her can't show up and so she has to be interviewed by the CEO, Dylan Falls.

Alice thinks she has blown any chance at the program because she can't hold back from speaking her mind. There is definite chemistry between the two, although they both brush it off. Dylan lets her know they will be in touch about the program. She laughs that off.

Alice soon is accepted to the program and can't believe it. She makes the trip to the camp where the program is held. Alice soon wonders why she was chosen because she doesn't fit in with any of the other trainees. Alice finds out that Dylan lives on the property in a mansion and that they are only to go there when invited.

Dylan soon has a dinner party where he and Alice are again thrown into that instant chemistry but try to avoid it because of his position. They soon keep running into each other and when strange things start to happen and scare Alice she doesn't know who else to turn to. Dylan sees Alice with Thad and becomes jealous. Dylan warns Alice to stay away from him, but Alice doesn't like being told what to do.

Will Alice leaning on Dylan be to much? Will Dylan and Alice be able to keep their relationship professional? Will jealousy eat away at Dylan and make him ruin their friendship? What secrets is Dylan keeping from Alice and how will it change everything? What is going on around camp, is someone after Alice or is it something else? You must read this book to find out!

This was another great book by Beth Kery and I cannot wait for Glow! I want to see what happens next. Glimmer was suspenseful, highly sensual and romantic!!! I am giving it 4 out of 5 stars.

Firstly thank you to Headline Eternal for sending me a copy of this book to review! I actually ended up buying it on kindle too because I didn’t want to stop reading once I had started and I find it easier to read my kindle in bed! I have been a fan of Beth Kery’s writing since reading The Affair series so I was really looking forward to this after the blurb had pulled me in too! I thought it sounded perfect for me as I really enjoyed Samantha Young’s “Hero”.

Glimmer is all about main characters Alice Reed and Dylan Fall. Alice and Dylan meet at an interview for the exclusive Camp Durand where Alice is sure she has under-performed but is surprised to find she has gained a place at business school.

From the off I really liked Alice’s character. She’s not particularly typical to this kind of story, well in my opinion anyway and is certainly different to her female peers. I felt like she was easier to relate to because of this and because of her willingness to just muck in.

From the first meeting there was definitely a connection between Alice and Dylan but I felt like there could have been more of a build-up of tension between their first meeting and the first time the characters are together. Although it was hot and intense it was a little disappointing because I hadn’t felt that tension winding tighter and tighter before it snapped.

Throughout, the main storyline is about overcoming obstacles and chasing down your dream. This is not only shown through the business school and its ideals but also for Alice and Dylan on a more personal level. There was definitely something going on behind the scenes and I could feel it but couldn’t put my finger on it. It set me on edge a little as I tried (and failed) to pick up signals so I could clue in on the underlying secret. When it all came to light I was a bit shocked and I can’t see how I didn’t see it coming!

I will be waiting anxiously for the release of Glow in December so I can carry on with this story!

This is the first full length Beth Kery book I've read and it made me feel like I've been missing out. I'm convinced, I need to make time for some of her others. The chemistry between Alice and Dylan was explosive! There was also a little mystery to the story that had me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out how it all fit together.

Alice was a likeable heroine. She grew up in a trailer park with a meth head for a mom, but she didn't let that get her down. She took all the hurt and resentment and let that fuel her drive to make something of herself. Smart and great with numbers, she lands a covetous camp counselor spot at Camp Durand. A sort of management training program with Durand Enterprises, that involves helping troubled youth.

What Alice didn't expect was Dylan Fall. He's the CEO for Durand and he's HOT. Ten years older than her, dominant and protective. I fell pretty hard for him, right along with Alice. Sneaking around and meeting up in the woods at night gives their relationship a forbidden feel, which is always fun. He is the CEO after all and can't get caught fraternizing with potential employees.

"Things might start out deliberate with you, but they turn to fucking madness in about two seconds flat."

There is so much more to their connection though than just great sex. There are plenty of secrets and lies to go around. When the full story was revealed, I was honestly surprised. It made me fall for Dylan even more. I'm curious to see how things will play out in the future. Not only between Dylan and Alice, but with the other camp counselors. A few things went unanswered, leaving me excited for the next book.

"Dylan . . . what happened on April eighteenth?"

4/5 Fangs

I read this early this month and I put off writing a review because I just didn't know what to say. The premise was promising but it just fell short. The sex between main characters were hot but that's just about it??? Everything just seemed ~lukewarm~ and there's this one scene that was just wayyy off for me.

The girl thought she was chased by someone. She ran for her life, saw the Hero. Hero hid her in this room or something. He calmed her, she initiated sex with him THERE AND THERE. Which is so unrealistic, I mean what kind of girl would want to have sex right after running from her life from someone she thought was going to rape / hurt her?????? MAKES NO SENSE?????

DNF. I ILL'd this on a whim after realizing that I needed some decent erotica in my life. This book, however, failed me. Failed me harder than some dude's quivering member. I read the first 20 pages, then skipped to the nearest sex scene to see if any of those would be worth reading, and nope, still bad.

This 50 Shades knock-off had some of most horribly written sex scenes I have read in a while. Awkward girl meets young cocky billionaire. Curse that damn series for creating a whole sub-genre of crap.

I read some of the 5-star reviews to see if maybe I was missing something, but I guess my expectancy bar for erotica is set too high.

It was entertaining, and I liked the relationship between Alice and Dylan. However, I thought the plot would be a lot better if it always revolves around camp Durand life, instead of how it went in the end.

If Alice and Dylan’s relationship had developed throughout the course of the summer, with some funny situations, romantic gestures, hilarious and sexy moments around camp, I think I would’ve enjoyed it more.

I liked the idea of Camp Durand. It’s a shame that we ended up knowing so little about it.

After re-reading this, I'm trying to figure out why I gave this 5 stars lol. I really do like Dylan. I'm not a fan of Alice.

Alice comes across as annoying and irritating. She has this immediate attraction to Dylan and she just can't explain it, but then is constantly arguing with him about stuff. Dylan I like for the most part.

There is definitely stuff left very unresolved at the end of this book.

I loved all the suspense and mystery in this book, that went right along with the erotic. The writing was fabulous, as well as the storyline. I was left with a few unanswered questions, and a bit of a cliffy but not too bad. You can almost read this as a stand alone as well, but I wouldn’t suggest it. The series is quite great, so I dont want you to miss out!
