A book about how utilize AI to improve your life? How soulless. There are thousands of ACTUAL self-help books to read instead. Or, talk to a friend, loved one, or therapist. Learn a new hobby. Take a walk outside. Become an active member of some kind of community. AI, specifically ChatGPT, is horrible for our hearts, minds, and the planet. I can’t imagine a worse subject for a book. I wonder how much of this is actually written, and how much is AI-generated slop. Disheartening, horrifying, embarrassing, shameful.

This Book Is The Sh*t!

What a fun, quick, handy and really insightful read.

Sarah Hill does a marvelous job of covering a lot of ground with engaging writing and thoughtful ideas with the use of AI. She explored a number of topics which I had not even considered tapping AI to answer or provide input and perspective.

I’ll be referencing Chat Sh*t Crazy: A Very Human Guide to Improving Your Life with ChatGPT frequently and recommending it to friends who are both well versed in using AI as well as novices.

A terrific read that I really enjoyed !

Not knowing much about Chat GPT and feeling a bit intimidated by it, this book has given me a good foundation for understanding it and getting started with it. It was an interesting, informative, and educational read useful prior to my Chat GPT journey. It was fun and inspiring, and provided the perfect amount of information to read in one sitting without feeling overwhelmed. I appreciate the author’s insights, reflections, and honesty on this subject, as well. I don’t know if I will use Chat GPT as deeply as the author has, but it’s great to know that this tool exists in such a capacity. I’m glad to have learned something new today!

This book teaches creative ways to ask difficult questions about relationships, faith, love, and wellness. We learn so much through asking questions, and this book highlights how ChatGPT helps navigate those difficult conversations and reflections.

It’s a quick read that offers practical, thoughtful advice, making it a perfect gift for the holidays or for a college student. My favorite parts of the book are the small, personal tidbits the author shares about her own life, which add warmth and authenticity to the lessons.

Thank you, Sarah, for sharing this book with us!

This is a book of AI prompts. It mostly lists questions you can input into LLMs like ChatGPT to get answers to. It's categorised into topics like relationships, work & money, health & wellness, creative pursuits, faith & spirituality, etc. Is this book of much use? Well, only if you have absolutely no idea how to use an LLM or what to use it for. Or if you would like a list of some questions to ask, for inspiration. Other than that, this book isn't of much value. One could well argue that you could get ChatGPT to generate you the exact same questions that are found in this book.

I know there’s a lot of hate for ChatGPT, but it is a useful tool and can improve your life if you take the advice it can offer.

This book is a very quick read, full of practical advice and prompts to get started with ChatGPT and start creating a better life. I’d recommend it to anyone who fears this program and doesn’t know what to do with it or how helpful it can be.

Thanks to NetGalley for a free copy of this book for an honest review!

Overall it was full of great tips. It was annoying how many times the author would talk about a problem she had before ChatGPT and how much it could’ve helped her. I wanted more about now and less about then. I listened to the audiobook and the voice the narrator used to do the voice of ChatGPT was annoying.

But I did get a lot out of this book and am better able to use ChatGPT to help me figure out issues in my life.

Thank you to Bobi Media for this great read!
I was excited to see what approaches there were to self improvement using ChatGPT and Sarah Hill did not disappoint. This tiny little book covers a wide range of topics and prompts that you can use to make improvements to your life or just get to know yourself better using ChatGPT. The prompts led to me feeling very understood and by AI no less. I know this will be a book I continue to pull from when I feel stuck or ready for the next step in life.

This was an interesting book. The premise is okay and sounded doable for her. Honestly, it troubles me. As the parent and grandparent of persons with mental illness, I do not recommend using ChatGPT to guide your life. There is harm in doing this. With this being said, it is up to the individual reader as to how they take the information. I am not a fan of AI. I found this book to be built around the author's opinion. There was no valid data and it just wasn't that fond a read for me..

I am not the biggest fan of AI or ChatGPT, so I feel like I came into this book with a critical eye. While I don't think some of the solutions in this book are for me, I did find them quite interesting. I liked that this short little book was able to provide examples and ideas of how to use ChatGPT to help. I liked the different sections the book was set up into. I thought the information being presented was clear and concise.

I found that a lot of the questions or prompts are things that I would likely talk with my therapist or mental health provider about. It was also great to see that there was a constant reminder that ChatGPT does not replace human interactions or therapy.

While I dont think this is something I plan to implement in my own life, it did make me think about what if this is a resource for someone. I do want to remind folks that there are organizations out there to help find mental health providers and support groups at low or minimal costs like NAMI (National Alliance of Mental Illness). Because like Sarah points out, ChatGPT is not a substitute for human interaction and therapy providers.

Thank you to the author Sarah and Bobi Media for providing me with a review copy.
