Last summer, they hooked up—but she had rules: one time, no one can know, and no feelings. Yeah, that lasted twenty-four hours.
Now, she’s home from college, working at her family’s Lakeside resort for the summer and trying to forget last summer ever happened.
But that’s hard to do when she’s stuck coordinating the resort’s first music festival with none other than her button-pushing, infuriatingly sarcastic, lip-ring flicking dirty little secret—Vinny. And he’s still calling her Boss, which annoys the hell out of her and turns her on at the same time.
She’s trying to focus. He’s trying to get under her skin. And that third rule—no feelings? Good luck with that!
If enemies-to-lovers, lakeside hookups, and summer chaos with sexy banter are your thing—you’re in the right place. Welcome to Sweetwater Resort.

This book has summer camp and Dirty Dancing vibes, so of course I enjoyed it! Him: A broody bad boy secretly harboring lingering feelings from last summer. Her: An overachiever with plans of laser focus on work with no distractions—especially not with him. DLS is a heated summer romance between frenemies with great banter and an immersive setting in lakeside small town Oklahoma. I gratefully received the ARC in exchange for an honest review. Available on Kindle/KU June 1st! First in a series!

3.5 I received this book as an ARC. The emotions, quipiness and feelings are all there, but the beginning was a little slow for me, it took a while to get into the characters and mentally deep dive into the scenes and vibe of the story. That being said, I enjoyed Kellyn and Vinny’s story, and wish the ending had been a little more flushed out for them, communication wise.
I definitely related to Kellyn, thinking if everything is organized nothing can go wrong, She did have some good character growth through the book that was needed.
I was pleasantly surprised reading this. The slow burn and angst kept me turning the pages. I absolutely loved how the characters were written, including side characters. Vinny and Kellyn, complete opposites, yet perfect for eachother.
I wish I could have seen more of Vinny performing, I'm a sucker for a rockstar romance.
This was a short and sweet read, leaving me wanting more. I'm excited about the next installment.
3.5 to 4 stars. Dirty Little Secret is the first in a series and my first time reading anything from this author. This is a true opposite attract story. Kellyn and Vinny work at the Sweetwater Resort, which also happens to be owned by Kellyn's parents. She's a college student who wants to be treated more like an adult and to be given more opportunities at the resort. Vinny works full time for the resort, but at one time was a musician. Kellyn is a rule follower, Vinny likes to bend the rules. She envisions her ideal life partner and occupation. She feels that Vinny lacks focus and only lives for today. But as their relationship grows, initially just based on steamy chemistry, they learn from one another and work off the strength of one another. This is a quick read and good for the summer season. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I enjoyed this book! It was a cute and quick read, loved the references in this book and the author did a great job with character development! Kellyn is an overly organized rule follower and Vinny is the opposite, they had some challenges balancing out and navigating feelings and the book needed how I hoped it would! While working on a project together to get a festival set up they’re assigned to work together. They’ve had some chemistry in the past that ended with the end of the resort season and while bantering back and forth and navigating the tasks at hand they fall for eachother again. I needed this read as it was refreshing and easy to get through. I’ll be patiently waiting for the next one to come out as the resort setting and how the author writes was very enjoyable!
I yelled vinny and kellyn all most about 89% of time, but hey they listened me at some point! This is cute story! Made me wanna go to sweetwaters resort, and be with them! It seemed just so cozy place and the times they have together seemed so fun! Well not the drama but other times! There was tension and heartbreak, but there was also spice! Vinny just took my heart, maybe same way he did to kellys and totally get her! I have to read the rest of this series, i just have to see what happend next and i wanna go back there This book is just what people need if they don’t wanna think their own life or anything else, you just live this story
Eeeek! I really needed this book in my life this weekend! I needed something light hearted. A pick me up. And this did the trick! I loved the easy flow of this book. Sometimes ya just need something cute and funny! T. R. Hills characters are super relatable. I was personally able to relate to Kellyan and her rule following & list making type-A personality. It felt like I was taken back to my college years when all that mattered was getting that tan and finding the boys! The spice was also pretty perfect! It wasn’t too much for a rom-com, but it definitely WAS NOT lacking! Can’t wait to read more of Kellyn’s (and the others) story!
Let's go to Sweetwater Resort! Kellyn's family owns Sweetwater Resort and she is back from college and ready for more responsibility. What she doesn't expect is to be put in charge of the music festival where she has to work with her least favorite person, Vinny. Vinny is a go with the flow, laid back guy and is the complete opposite of the type A, control freak Kellyn. She can't stand him, but is even more irritated that she is so attracted to him! Should she give into her attraction and keep him her dirty little secret? TR Hill has done it again with her amazing storytelling! You can't miss this amazing summer read!
First things first, the vibes were immaculate. Summer by the lake? Check. Secret romance? Check. This was definitely opposites attract and I loved how Vinny could get Kell out of her head. Saying that, Kell got on my nerves quite a bit and I’m not sure she really developed in any way. It’s still her way or the high way in my opinion. But that’s what makes her, her. She got over herself enough to accept Vinny and that’s all I need. Despite Kell’s grinding personality, I enjoyed this read and will be checking out the prenovella to this about their past summer fling. (Also why is it set in 2009? Am I missing something here?)
I am so thankful to have received this as an eARC copy from the author!
3.5/5 stars Turn up the AC and prepare for the heat in this spicy summer rom-com❤️🔥 I really enjoyed this book. It really held my attention. Once I started reading, it was hard to put it down. The relationship between the main couple was beautifully formed. I quickly grew to love Kelly and Vinny and their relationship throughout the book. I am really excited to see how this series continues and explore the other relationships within the Sweetwater group.
Book 1 in Hill's Sweetwater Resort series. A great start to a new series. This book gives summer camp and Dirty Dancing vibes. Our main characters are Kellyn and Vinny who both work for the resort Kellyn's parents own. These two seem opposites - a rule follower vs the rule bender but while their initial draw is their mutual attraction, there is more to be discovered between them as a relationship grows. For me this was a good summer romance read and I'm excited for more in the series.

If your ready for a summer romance. Dive into 'Dirty Little Secret'. Kellyn and Vinny are complete opposites. They get under each other's skin but last summer they hooked up with three rules in mind. The most important one Don't fall for Vinny Moretti. At first reading this I didn't feel the steam, the spice but when I did. It was pretty great. TR Hill did a great job bringing Sweetwater resort to life. Once I got into I couldn't put it down finished it in 3 days it would have been 2.
This book was SO good! The perfect mix of bickering, pining, and spice. (The bonus chapters definitely add a whole new level of spice!) reading about Kellyn and Vinny’s back and forth had me hooked. Once I started reading, I didn’t want to put it down! Frenemies to lovers, secret workplace hookups- the PERFECT combo. Highly recommend this book, and the bonus chapters. I can’t wait to see what book 2 brings for the Sweetwater series!
Okay, this one wasn't my favorite... But it wasn't bad, either... It gave me YA vibes based on the characters and their storyline, how they acted, etc. That having been said, I think that the "spice" level is probably just a tad too much for YA... The two main characters work together at the FMC's family's resort. There is some solid banter and I liked the drama of the friend group-all of whom work with them at the resort.
Dirty Little Secret is a sweet and fun summer read. The structured and overly organized FMC, Kellyn is matched perfectly with chaotic and sexy MMC Vinny. He gets her out of her head and she gets him into his heart. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. This was an enjoyable read and brought back great summer memories of my own summer camps and vacations.
This was such a fun, quick, easy romance- lighthearted, playful, and the perfect read. A little spice, a lot of banter, and just enough heart to make it a summer favorite.
Perfect for those who love: Dual POV New Adult Romance Enemies to Lovers Workplace Romance Summer Flings Opposites Attract “One Time” Rules Lip Rings & Guitar Playing
Super fun summer read! Work place romance but work is an outdoor resort (think dirty dancing). A little enemies to lovers/ opposites attract. Sexual tension followed by a little spice. I can’t get over this and need more.
Truly the perfect spicy summer romance! Fast paced storyline makes it totally bingeable and character banter makes for a great rom-com experience! Definitely spicy too! 🌶️🥵 10/10 recommend
