A new book by Marie Force is always a great way to start a new day, new week, new month or a new year! This one is a little different from what you might expect -- and oh so charming, funny, and just dang delightfully wonderful and, of course, a moral conundrum for our hero.

HOW MUCH I FEEL is Carmen Giordino and Dr. Jason Northrup’s story, and it hooked me right from the very first page. To all of you book boyfriend collectors……I’m calling dibs on Jason right this very minute! Back off! Carmen is carrying around so much sadness and Jason has anger inside that will eat him alive. HOW MUCH I FEEL is the perfect way to spend the afternoon. It is nice to see Carmen’s family rally around her and Jason and give them the support they need. While they want Carmen to be happy, they constantly warn her to be careful. HOW MUCH I FEEL will surely pull at your heart strings and make it very hard for you to put down. If you are like me, you won’t be able to stop until you know what happens to Carmen.
Make yourself a cup of coffee or tea get your favorite blanket and get on the couch. HOW MUCH I FEEL is an awesome way to spend the afternoon or evening. Once you start reading, you won’t be able to put it down and will find yourself cheering for Carmen and her new man, Jason, as they try to navigate their way through a very different and unique situation. Marie Force will pull you in from the very first page and never let you go! How a woman can write such emotional and heart tugging contemporary romance is beyond me, but I have loved all of her books and she is forever one of my auto buy authors!

I’m here listening to this book but it’s slow. Very very slow! Sloth slow! I’m at hour 6 of 8 and CHILE, I have fought off quitting it about 500 times already. The way it started I was expecting some enemies to lover doctor relationship in the workplace but all I have gotten is a hero fighting to get out of a scandal to keep working that is not even luke warm to read about and a heroine getting over her dead husband (this isn’t even that emotional) and helping the hero to work & clear his image. Some immigrant and heritage information and the hero & heroine getting together...THATS ALL I KEEP HEARING/READING!!!!! I can’t anymore DNF 🙄

How Much I Feel is the first book in Marie Force’s Miami Nights series. I enjoyed this book, it was fun and interesting but I felt it was missing something. I liked both the main characters a lot and the heroine’s family was crazy fun and the setting was written with care paying attention to the Cuban influences in Miami.
On Carmen’s first day in the public relations department at Miami Dade Hospital she is tasked with “babysitting” the hospital’s new pediatric neurosurgeon, Dr. Jason Northrup. From the moment they meet it’s entertaining and throughout the first day a series of events have them both feeling unsettled.
I enjoyed Carmen and Jason together; I felt like they had a great rapport and feel into an easy friendship right off the bat. The fact that they were both feeling attraction threw them both for a loop for very different reasons. I had no issue with these two falling in love; the problem came in that it happened way too quickly. I get instant attraction, and I understand love at first sight, but considering Jason’s situation it felt off. There was no doubt that Carmen after being a widow for 5 years was ready for a new relationship; I just needed them to spend more time before the I Love You stage.
Ms. Force did a great job of capturing the Little Havana and the people who make Miami such a unique city. I especially loved that she emphasized the importance of family to their heritage and the support for one another throughout the community.
I did enjoy this book and was happy with the ending; I just needed to see this couple’s relationship developing at a decent pace to make it an excellent story.

I grabbed this... cuz Marie Force!
This is KU read and listen for free. I really like Teddy Hamilton's (Jason) Hero narration. He had a smaller part than the heroine. This was mainly the Heroine's POV- Carmen.- narrated by Lola James.
Carmen is Italian & Cuban, living in Miami. She's newly hired- working in PR for Miami-Dade Med Ctr. Her first assignment is to clean up the reputation of a newly hired pediatric neurosurgeon.
Their first meeting did not go well. First impressions didn't go well for either of them & weren't quite accurate.
Carmen was widowed about 5 years before, she's definitely not looking for a handsome Doctor.
Jason came to Miami after a scandal in NYC. He got involved with a (unknowingly) married woman.
My favorite part was Carmen's family- I especially loved Abuela (her Cuban grandma), Nonna (her Italian grandma), and Maria, Carmen's cousin. The audio seemed a little stiff at times. I enjoyed it more when Carmen's family was the focus. This is very well written, and I couldn't wait to see if Jason could be vindicated.
The next book is comes out on Tues 8/18- the heroine is (cousin) Maria, she works at the local medical clinic. I checked the blurb & will read this one too.

Ich liebe Marie forces Bücher und mit jedem einzelnen schreibt sie sich immer weiter in mein Herz. Dieses Mal entführt sie uns nach Miami. Es war wieder so gut zu lesen und ich habe während dem Lesen immer mehr gusta auf kubanisches und italienisches Essen bekommen. Wie gut das ich schon gefrühstückt habe. 😂😂 Es war wieder toll zu lesen und man kommt rasch voran. Bin gespannt wer uns im zweiten Band seine Geschichte erzählen darf bzw die Liebee finden wird.

A quick love story
Wow, these two had great chemistry, but I wished they had slowed it down a bit. A lot happened in the span of a week. This was a sexy read, loved the gorgeous Dr and enjoyed the story line. Carmen had a huge loss in her life and her family were very supportive. I loved the extended family involvement and this was full of love. A bit of drama and jail time thrown in, but all ended well.

I have never read a book Marie Force has written that I haven't absolutely loved and this new series is no exception. Wonderful, HEA, where the characters come alive. A fantastic book.

Leto je obdobie, ktoré asi všetci milujeme. Deťom začínajú prázdniny a my sa tešíme z krásnych teplých a letných dní. Veď aké je príjemné sadnúť si ráno na terasu alebo balkón a v pokoji si vypiť svoju obľúbenú šálku kávy prípadne čaju. Či len tak si zaplávať v bazéne. Je to aj čas oddychu, výletov, dovoleniek a dobrodružstiev. Je jedno či sme malí alebo veľkí, túžime si z leta odniesť nezabudnuteľné zážitky a spomienky. K letu neodmysliteľne patrí letná láska. Tento cit v nás vzplanie, ak stretneme príťažlivého mladého muža, pri ktorom sa nám nebezpečne rozbúcha srdce a zatají dych. Naskočia nám zimomriavky a nebudeme vedieť správne reagovať. Sen každej nezadanej ženy.
Ak sa vám nepodarí toto leto ísť niekam za dobrodružstvami a na letnú dovolenku, je to síce na nič, no nezúfajte. Stačí, ak sa na chvíľu prenesiete na Floridu a Lite Hawanu, tak ako som to urobila ja a necháte sa unášať príbehom Carmen a Jasona.
Čo k tebe cítim sa presne hodí na toto letné obdobie.
Carmen si prešla ťažkým obdobím. Vo veľmi mladom veku prišla o manžela. Po rokoch štúdia získala svoju vysnívanú prácu. Stala sa zástupkyňou vedúcej pre styk s verejnosťou. Hneď v prvý deň dostane za úlohu robiť opatrovateľku príťažlivému, no arogantnému mužovi a ona nedopustí, aby jej sexy doktorko Jason Northrup prekazil plány. A to aj napriek tomu, že pri pohľade naňho sa jej podlamujú kolená. Románik s týmto nafúkancom je to posledné, čo teraz potrebuje. Srdce a iné časti si však myslia niečo iné. Doktor Jason má tiež starostí vyše hlavy. Jeho povesť lekára bola poškvrnená a potrebuje očistiť svoje meno. Carmen je jeho jediná nádej, ktorá mu môže pomôcť. Obaja sa bránia romániku. Odolajú však vzájomnej náklonnosti?
Carmen ako postava ma chytila za srdce, nemala to ľahké. Stratit milovaného človeka v takom mladom veku je strašné. Ja som citlivý človek, a s takým niečím by som sa asi nezmierila. Carmen však našla silu aj vďaka úžasnej rodine, ktorá ju vo všetkom podporovala. Úplne som chápala, že netúži po láske. Svojho manžela Tonyho milovala a myslela si, že on bol ten jediný. Na scéne sa napokom objavil sexy neurochirurg a jej sa obrátil z minúty na minútu svet hore nohami.
Jasona som si zo začiatku zaškatuľkovala ako sexy namysleného a bohatého neurochirurga, rovnako ako aj Carmen. Ukázalo sa, že niekedy prvý dojem môže klamať. Bol to muž so zlatým srdcom len naletel žene, o ktorej si myslel, že ju miluje, no ona ho však nepekne využila. Za toto by som jej najradšej vyškriabala oči. Veď kvôli nej musel začať odznova. Autorka ho vykreslila ako uznávaného dôverilyhodného odborníka. Keby mám nejaký zdravotný problém, zverím sa mu do rúk. Okrem toho som z neho bola pekne na mäkko.
Chémia medzi Carmen a Jasonom bola hmatateľná hneď od začiatku. Dokonca aj ja som cítila motýle v bruchu, no trochu ma prekvapilo, že sa poznali ani nie dva dni a už sa bozkávali. Na môj vkus to bolo až moc hrr. Mám rada, keď sa to pomaly rozbieha. No niekomu to môže prísť romantické. Inak som si ich oboch obľúbila. Obaja našli porozumenie v tom druhom a postupne svoje srdcia naplnili láskou, v ktorú nedúfali.
Prostredie, v ktorom sa príbeh odohráva je priam letné a exotické.
Čakala som, že medicínske prostredie bude viac rozpísané.
Všetko by bolo super a príbeh by o do mňa dostal plný počet hviezdičiek, no bohužiaľ sa našli tri veci, ktoré mi tak trochu kazili dojem z čítania. Prvou je opakujúce sa tie isté myšlienky a slová v texte. Druhou je prirýchlo vyvíjajúci sa vzťah medzi hlavnými hrdinami a krátke časové obdobie, v ktorom sa príbeh odohráva. Tretia, obálka sa mi vôbec nehodí k príbehu.
Pri epilògu som sa priam roztápala.
Odporúčam to všetkým romantickým dušiam, ktoré sa chcú nechať opantať sexy doktorom. Ja som si to užila a oddýchla pri tom.

Die Autorin hat bereits über 80 zeitgenössische Liebesromane veröffentlicht und ist damit auf den Bestsellerlisten der New York Times, der USA Today und des Wall Street Journals gelandet. Ich habe schon ein Buch der Autorin gelesen und wurde gut unterhalten. Hierbei handelt es sich um den Auftakt zur Miami Nights Reihe. Als Setting hat Marie Force ein sonniges Paradies an der Ostküste Floridas gewählt. Miami zählt zu den weltweit aufregendsten Städten. In dieser Magic City trifft kubanische Bedächtigkeit auf amerikanische Unrast - genau wie in diesem Buch. Dr. Jason Northrup wird nach einem Skandal von New York nach Miami versetzt. Seine Probleme folgen ihm, was wiederum Carmen ersten Arbeitstag beeinflusst, denn sie soll sich um den neuen Neurochirurgen kümmern.

Die körperliche Anziehung ist ist Großgeschrieben. Das mag ich ja nicht so gerne, aber schnell lernen sie sich durch ihre Zusammenarbeit besser kennen und einander schätzen. Das besänftige mich.
Innerhalb weniger Tage werden die Beiden zu einem perfekten und sich ergänzendem Duo. Es ist schon fast zu perfekt. Natürlich gibt es äußere Einflüsse und Schwierigkeiten die das Ganze erschweren, doch der Leser hegt keinen Zweifel daran das alles gut werden wird. Februar 2021 bei Montlake Romance, einem Imprit von Amazon Publishing, erschienen, umfasst 363 Seiten und ist als ebook und als Taschenbuch erhältlich. Die Autorin hat bereits über 80 zeitgenössische Liebesromane veröffentlicht und ist damit auf den Bestsellerlisten der New York Times, der USA Today und des Wall Street Journals gelandet. Ich habe schon ein Buch der Autorin gelesen und wurde gut unterhalten. Hierbei handelt es sich um den Auftakt zur Miami Nights Reihe. Als Setting hat Marie Force ein sonniges Paradies an der Ostküste Floridas gewählt. Miami zählt zu den weltweit aufregendsten Städten. In dieser Magic City trifft kubanische Bedächtigkeit auf amerikanische Unrast - genau wie in diesem Buch. Dr. Jason Northrup wird nach einem Skandal von New York nach Miami versetzt. Carmen hat ihren ersten Tag als Leiterin der Abteilung für Öffentlichkeitsarbeit in einem Miami größter Kliniken. Sie braucht einen Neuanfang und ahnt nicht, was das Schicksal mit ihr vorhat.
Jason hat selbst keine leichte Vergangenheit hinter sich und fängt ebenfalls neu an der Klinik an. Er ist ein bekannter Neurochirurg und niemand weiß, wie es hinter seiner Fassade aussieht.
Der Schreibstil ist angenehm flüssig und wird aus der Perspektive von Carmen und Jason erzählt. Der Leser kann sie so beide näher kennenlernen und ihre Gedanken und Gefühle erfahren während der Handlung. Die Nebenfiguren sind ebenso authentisch und gestalten die Geschichte mit. Der Job ist wie ein Neustart, nachdem Tod ihres Mannes und nun soll sie einem besonderen Neurochirurgen jedem Wunsch von den Augen ablesen.
Als beide sich zum ersten Mal sehen scheint man sofort zu spüren, das da mehr ist. Doch beide wollen erst mal keine Beziehung nach ihrer Vergangenheit und dem, was sie erlebt haben. Carmen muss nun Jason helfen, damit dieser endlich vom Vorstand der Klinik akzeptiert wird. Dabei kommen sie sich beide näher. Wird das Schicksal ihnen eine Chance geben ? Das Ende war mehr als nur aufregend und ich finde, es passt perfekt zum Buch.
Das Cover sieht einfach toll aus und lädt sofort ein in die Geschichte einzutauchen.

This was a fast paced read for me. I read another Marie book while I was in a slump and enjoyed it and wanted to try another. This was so good and I loved it DESPITE it being insta love. It didn't feel like insta which is important to me with this trope.
Carmen was sent to watch out for the new neurosurgeon at the hospital she works at due to personal drama he has going on. They fall fast and hard and it's just such a well written swoony story.

I liked Dr Jason Northrup he cracked me up on many occasions. The chemistry and friendship he and Carmen forge is pretty great. I love that she was so open and put herself and her intentions out there.
Their romance did feel a little rushed and I think maybe an extra chapter or two could have helped because it was more than just them we get to know secondary characters too. Those are the books I remember most when you have our main couple but everyone else who makes up the whole. And I think that might be why it felt a little rushed.
I like that it wasn’t a quick fix and that time and patience had to play a role in the HEA.
Great narration as well Teddy is a favorite of mine and Lola is new to me and I really enjoyed her as well.

Autorka u nás nie je celkom neznáma,Ikar jej už preložil jednu romantickú sériu. Dúfam, že plánujú preložiť aj pokračovania tejto knihy.
V prvom rade chcem hovoriť o dizajne. Obálka je síce krásna,evokuje vo mne romantický príbeh, ktorý aj dostanete. Škoda len, že s knihou nemá nič spoločné. Rozhodne by som volila inú obálku.
Force vytvorila silné postavy s osobnými tragédiami. Carmen spravila smútiacou vdovou a Jasona obeť sexuálneho škandálu. Obaja trpia a nájdu útechu vo vzájomne strávenom čase. Jason bol sám na celú vzniknutú zapeklitú situáciu,v ktorej sa ocitol, pokým mu neponúkla pomocnú ruku v očistení jeho mena Carmen. Hlavné postavy si zamilujete,to bez pochýb,no rovnako to bude s vedľajšími. Zbožňujem Carmeninu rodinu- rodičov, staré mamy, sesternice, dokonca aj zákazníkov či obyvateľov mestskej štvrte, odkiaľ Carmen pochádza. Taktiež som si obľúbila prostredie opísané v knihe. Až na to teplo, ktoré Marie opisovala, až som bola spotená aj ja a hlavní hrdinovia boli vždy svieži (by ma zaujímala značka ich antiperspirantu). Ulice Little Havany, pláž, reštaurácia….
Ale je niečo čo mi prekážalo? Mohlo by sa zdať,že takto turbulentne vzniknutá láska by mohla byť kameňom úrazu. Nie však u mňa. S tým som nemala najmenší problém. Dokázala som pochopiť, že tým, čím si musela hlavná hrdinka príbehu prejsť,chcela dať šancu mužovi, ktorý ju priťahoval už na prvý pohľad. Tak isto Jason cítil fyzickú príťažlivosť a aj keď sa spočiatku bránil,nemal šancu. Zo spárov lásky neušiel. Mne prekážalo neustále opakovanie tých istých fráz. Kazilo mi to čítanie a práve tieto časti mi pripadali ako zbytočná výplň textu. Spomenúť pár krát, že je Jason Northrup úžasný neurochirurg a Carmen Giordinová neuveriteľne silná a nádherná. A ešte, že sa Carmen každú chvíľu (aj v myšlienkach) vracala k Tonymu… Čo však musím spomenúť,je krásny epilóg.
Odporúčam? Určite! Ak máte radi romantické príbehy a nevadí vám 'instalove', túto knihu si obľúbite. Najmä ak vám vyhovuje striedanie rozprávača,v tomto prípade Jasona a Carmen.

How Much I Feel is the first book in the new Miami Nights series by Marie Force. Ms. Force writes the Fatal series starring Det. Sam Holland and Sen. Nick Cappuano, which is one of my favorite series of all times. If you love good romantic/mystery/suspense type books, then you will love these. As such, I was excited to start her new series set in Miami, which happens to be close to my location in South Florida.
The story revolves around a young widow, Carmen Giordino, who, on her first day of work in public relations at Miami-Dade General Hospital, is ordered to “babysit” Dr. Jason Northrup, the new pediatric neurosurgeon. Their first meeting doesn’t go so well when he pulls up in a convertible Porsche with a blonde in a tight red dress in the passenger seat. He throws Carmen the keys and tells her to take care of his car and Betty.
Even with the rough start, the friendship ratchets up, and the author gives us great insights into all the things that make Miami great, including Little Havana and all the different cultures. Of course, the romance starts to bloom, but as in any good romance, there are difficulties to overcome as well. I did feel the romance was a little rushed, but it is only one book, so there is only so much time to make it happen.
This book was very family-centric, which was enjoyable to experience, and I know we will see much more of this in future installments. I listened to this on audiobook via Audible, and the double narrators were perfect as Jason and Carmen. Teddy Hamilton and Lola James did a fantastic job, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them in the next book. I gave this book 3 ½ stars rounded up to 4.

This is killing me to give 3 stars but I reserve 4 and 5 for recommend and read again books. This story is good, but I’m not inclined to tell anyone to rush right out and get it (like I’ve done for every other Marie Force book), nor am I inclined to re read it (like I’ve done for every other Marie Force book). It’s a sweet, quick, predictable summer read. The characters all have so much potential and I can’t wait to see what’s next for this Cuban/Italian Family. If they wind up being anything like Big Mac’s brood I’m all in.

This might be the only novel in existence where I didn’t mind insta-love. You heard it here folks, I actually found a novel that is insta-love that I didn’t mind it.
Maybe it’s because the characters were built up so well and because Jason the hero might be one of the greatest guys I’ve ever read. So that means he can’t possibly exist in real life. I also love Carmen’s family.
So this was instalove, and I loved it. Wow who would’ve thought? Solid 4. Super and I mean super quick read.

How Much I Feel is the first story in a new three book series by Marie Force. And it was a fabulously charming, easy to read, fast-paced tale. That was packed full of wonderful characters, familial relationships and lots of detail as Ms Force effortlessly and brilliantly brings Miami and particularly Little Havana to life. And with a genuinely engaging romance that was equal parts sweet and sexy I was completely immersed throughout.
Would recommend.

Tak toto bolo znova skvelé čítanie, pričom nás dejom sprevádzajú príjemné postavy, ktoré trpia svojimi problémami. Carmen je vedúcou pre styk s verejnosťou len niekoľko dní a hneď dostáva dôležitú úlohu. Postarať sa, aby nový doktor nevošiel do zasadačky. No, akosi sa jej to nepodarí. Nový doktor je nadmieru príťažlivý a inteligentný. Má srdce na správnom mieste, trápi ho však minulosť. Carmen tiež trápi smrť jej manžela. Táto kniha sa mi veľmi páčila. Bolo to oddychové, vtipné a sexi.

Another Best Seller!
Every time I read one of Marie 's books, I am transported to the location. Having grown up in Florida and having lived in Miami .... BAM! Just like that I was there.
Carmen and Jason and all of their family had me laughing and crying, sometimes both at once.
Thank you, Marie for another Awesome read and the new family I get to immerse myself into.

I loved the premise and the chemistry with the characters throughout the book.
My only complaints are the repetitive mention of the conflicts each main character were dealing with. It wasn't necessary to have it reiterated and was a little distracting. As was the use of UGH. Over 11 times. Is it nitpicking... yes, it is. I'm sorry Marie! 😘

non mi ha convinta
amo marie force e di lei ho letto tutto
quindi questa nuova serie l'ho iniziata con curiosità ma..............che delusione!!! un clichè dietro l'altro senza nessun approfondimento sui caratteri ma solo pagine di monologhi a volte anche ripetitive
la protagonista è un continuo controsenso che non mi ha convinta così come lui troppo scontato (la porche la bionda e gli occhiali ray-ban..........aiuto!) e poi diventa melenso che non si sopporta
insomma la trama non convince e i personaggi sono deboli, peccato! anche per la traduzione ed editing della ce italiana sempre molto precisa
non riesco a dare più di tre stelle

Marie does it again!
Love love love this story! I have tears in my eyes, both joyful and heartfelt for all the ups and downs. How Marie can write such great series is beyond me but I can’t wait for the next Miami book!

Marie Force sucked me in again.
I laughed out loud, and cried real tears. Every time I read a new Marie Force novel, I get pulled in emotionally.

Love the new series in Miami
I can’t say enough good things about Marie Force. This book brought many happy tears as I read the story about a young widow and her new boyfriend. I had to stay up to read the whole book as I have all of Marie’s books.
