I’ll start of by saying that this was a potential 4 star until the ending🙁 and I had to bring it down to a 3 star.
I loved the characters Sienna and Nikolai; the tension and chemistry between them was well written and I found myself reading until 1am because of this. I loved the forbidden romance, age gap and forced proximity tropes throughout the book and with it being dual pov made it all the better. HOWEVER, the ending of this book was so so rushed. Are we supposed to believe that Nikolai turning up at her dads funeral and saying ‘let’s go home’ was enough for them to be all happy in love?? I would have rather the book been 100/200 pages longer with us getting to explore the reconciliation between them.
Things I loved; •chemistry between the two characters •age gap/forced proximity/forbidden romance tropes •Nikolai’s character development and becoming an absolute protector and love struck puppy for Sienna
Things I wish we’d seen; • POV of Nikolai reading the book and some of what was written!? • More spice? I thought this book would have a lot more in and when we did have it.. it was good, but not great • Their whole reunion, making up and getting back together at the end of the book

I absolutely love dad’s best friend troupe and don’t care what that says about me, I ATE this book up!!
Niko and Sienna were so fun to read. Both so cute, full of spice and banter. They’re interactions were so passionate and got me kicking my feet and giggling excitedly. The forbidden love troupe, slow burn, age gap and grumpy sunshine completely slayed!!!!
The scene under the table with her dad being there?! The pool scene?!!!!! I devoured them with a full smile on my face. I CAN’T, give me more of that. Give me more of them NOW😊
The last 9 chapters broke me and I’m still not out back together. My only remark is that the ending was so rushed. I would have liked to see Sienna’s grieving, and her and Niko getting back together before the epilogue. But I still loved this.
“Our souls yearned for connection, yet it felt as though we were each bound to a different dimension, forever destined to miss each other's outstretched hands”
This is a typical case of TikTok made me read it. I saw this book (and the author) in my feed a couple of times and this book sounded so good. A spicy Dads-Best-Friend romance? I’m in. But this book couldn’t deliver what it promised.
The writing took a long time to get used to. It didn’t feel very polished and especially in the beginning more like a badly written Fanficiton. A lot of unimportant stuff is described and it’s actually pretty boring. It gets better over the course of the book or maybe I just got more used to it, but it didn’t bother me too much after a while.
The characters felt very flat, there isn’t much room for character growth and basically I didn’t feel a connection with them. There wasn't a lot of chemistry between them and the few smutty scenes felt weird and clunky.
The ending was the worst though. There’s barely any resolution to the inevitable third act conflict. It’s just kind of over and we get a time jump.
You can subscribe to the author’s newsletter to get the story of what happened in the time between, but honestly, this is important stuff to the story, I don’t want to subscribe to anything to get something this essential.
God lord let’s begin… „Its lively and passionate tune wove a tapestry of musical enchantment, wrapping me in its embrace.„ My sibling in Christ this is a fathers best friend Romance not fae princes in the 18 hundreds, absolutely nobody talks like that! It’s written really really boring, I’m absolutely clueless since when they know e/o or when they started to like each other. Not even the smut is good. There isn’t a single thing I liked about it
— 4⭐️ i’ve had the honor of not only beta-reading this book but blow up the authors inbox throughout it all.
this is my first novel by bianca and it certainly won’t be my last. we follow sienna who’s a romance novel author on the downlow, a people pleaser who also has an emotionally negligent father and a huge crush on the dads best friend, Nikolai who’s sorta an asshole with a god complex.
these two have a strange relationship where on the surface they ‘hate’ each other but tension is brewing below.
A vacation away to a new country though. brings everything to light. There’s stolen moments, deep conversations, jealousy (on nik’s part), hardships and growth.
I laughed, I got angry and I swooned.
thank you bianca for taking me on this journey with you. thank you for writing words that remind me of poetry.
if you like: ✨father’s best friend ✨forced proximity ✨grumpy sunshine ✨billionaire romance ✨age gap
Ok idk why my review got deleted but i have to rewrite because this book spoke to me. Before yall judge me, i saw this book being recc on tiktok by the author and some of the quotes intrigued me and led me down this downward spiral of crying in my room at 1am. I completed this book in one sitting and let me explain why. The part in this book that pulled me in on was not the romance but the focus of Sienna's relationship with her father. This book explains the absence and longing of parental figures and safety so so well. The author did a brilliant job in explaining the complexities of loving and hating an absent parent. She also did an amazing job in showing the effects of absent father in a person's life. The overcompensation of kindness, the people pleasing, the constant need of validation and the panic attacks 10/10 chefs kiss. I enjoyed reading on the debate between kindness and weakness and between love and hate. The author wrote grief and guilt so so well it resonated with me. Yet another book to be piled on my this book is too real list. Judge me all you want people but i do not regret reading this.
“Thank you to the author for sending me an ARC of the book”
I finished this book in a sitting and I am in love with it. Miss Bianca is definitely the queen of forbidden romance and she outdid herself with this one. She is one of my favorite authors and I love her books.
‘Wicked Mind’ was amazing. Is is so beautifully written and it has an amazing story. I loved the characters and their development throughout the book was absolutely great. I fell in love with the main characters over and over again.
This book definitely entered the list of one of my favorite books this year and I highly suggest it to everyone. Check out this book and also the other books from this author because I’m absolutely sure you are going to love them.
well. listen i don’t think this book was properly marketed to me on tiktok (by the author herself). i thought this was gonna be filled to the brim with spice with some drama, bc ofc.
but like why did i have to sit through multiple descriptions of this girl showering and walking around aimlessly, that in the end led to nowhere, but i never saw what she wrote in her book about Nikolai, barely saw chapters from his pov, and why, OH WHY was the ending so rushed????
did we need all that pointless shit in the beginning and the middle when a big part of the story lies between the last chapter and the epilogue??? the RAGE i felt when i read that i had to sign up for a newsletter to find out what happened in that crucial time of the story i lost respect for this book.
imagine reading the hunger games, but instead having the full story that you paid for, you got to rue’s death and then it skipped farward to the ending of the last book. and then Suzanne Collins was like sign up for nordVPN to unlock a secret code that m i g h t lead you to the missing part of the story.
yeah, no
2,5 stars bc the book made me cry, the relationship between Sienna and Christopher was interesting, truly made him more of a person not the idiot father caricature from pornhub not realizing what’s happening under the table. he was layered and i liked him despite his flaws.
the scenes of Sienna with her friends were clearly leading up to their own books and that was confirmed after the book finished but they were boring nonetheless.
I was so excited for this book - I've been waiting months for it! This was my first novel by Bianca Mov. It's a forbidden, age gap, dad's best friend novel with a grumpy hero and a heroine who writes spicy books... about him. The premise was intriguing as hell, and I enjoyed it all the way up to 37%. The writing is spectacular, you can visualize everything easily, and you can tell it's heartfelt! I genuinely loved the heroine, she's so sweet and kind. And the hero? He's a grumpy beast lol.
Why didn't I like it though? First, it's a slow burn. Second, the heroine is definitely NOT a virgin. That's what I prefer to read, and was disappointed when I got to the part where she's slept around in the past. It doesn't interest me in the least so I DNF.
Again, it's just personal preference to me - but this book was incredibly written for what little I read of it.
I kinda liked this book but I feel like the ending was rushed. It was an emotional read and I hated that at the end she wasn't the same person as she was in the beginning. She totally changed and it irked me that she did a whole 360 on her personality... I mean she shouted at an old person and a child.
And what? That all went away when she saw Nikolai at the funeral. I would have loved to see the both of them go through the journey of healing together but oh well
I was not ready for the emotional impact this book would have on me. I found the book from a tiktok and decided to read it based off of one line. I was expecting the book to be all spice, no plot but was pleasantly surprised with the complexity of the plot and how the author has such a way with words. This book made me giggle, made my heart flutter, made me cry… It was so so good, and I was so mad when I had to put it down in order to get sleep and go to class😭 I recommend this book fully. The tension, the plot, the pacing; everything was perfect!
Tropes: age gap, fathers best friend, forced proximity, forbidden love
It's rare to see a book change its vibe SO QUICKLY. It went from being funny, cute to devastating and sad in only a few pages.
The main character girl Sienna Mayfield always pretends to be the good sweet daughter but she secretly writes spicy books, using her father's best Friend Nikolai Hale as inspiration for the MMC for her book.
The tension was so good and funny, especially when Nikolai finally finds out about her little "hobbies" HAHA As the story progresses there's alot of banter between the two main characters and they go back and forth. I really enjoyed their teasing and I LOVE this dynamic where the female MC is a little brat or likes to poke the bear & he's the strict, uncompromising, scowling grump! One to the best tropes.
Later in the story I found out that the father has a secret and only Nikolai knows about it. The secret felt like such a big deal, I had to stop for a moment and think to myself "what's the secret? It can't be that bad right?" | WAS WRONG.
Words cannot express how shocked and sad I was. The first 75% of the book felt like forbidden temptation while the last 25% of the book were downright devastating.
I really wish I could say that the book was a fun little read but I was so sad at the end I just felt both empty and relieved
After reading the synopsis I thought this would be a five star read…I’m disappointed. It started out okay, I liked the writing and the main characters weren’t assholes. Then sienna met Nikolai and they just hated each other for no reason. I didn’t understand that because sienna had a massive crush on him without even meeting him and then suddenly it was like she’d never known him before and their relationship was so awkward. Not to mention he didn’t act like her dads best friend. That vibe wasn’t there, you get me? I did love the twist of her dad getting sick though. I didn’t expect that. I think I kept reading busy because I wanted to know where she and her dad end up. It was sad. But the epilogue again was too rushed. After their conflict, her dad dies and in the epilogue sienna and Nikolai are living together…okay how did they get there??? I guess there were a few plot holes. Also expected it to be more spicy. Anyway 2.5⭐️

First of all, I read this in one sitting, got the arc and I could not put this down, this book had me feeling all sorts of emotions, from mildly aroused or rather aroused😂 to by the end sobbing my eyes out like a baby, this book is wonderfully written and creates some breathtaking imagery, I even highlighted on my kindle and I never do this with books. The language was so easy to read and it was erotic without being cringy.
Some of my highlights from this book
“The air was thick with unspoken words that swarmed around us like planets in a solar system. He was the moon, creating waves woven out of questions and doubts while I was the sun, burning for his cooling touch”
I stared out the window, watching as fat droplets of rain spilled from the sky like a million tears rolling down an infinite cheek

Happy release day for WM ❤️ This is the third book i've read for Bianca and she never disappoints, That's a new genre for her to write but it came out absolutely amazing . WM has all the tropes we love, don't get me started on the spice 🤭 Sienna and Nikolai's chemistry is everything just you wait till the tension starts to grow between the two of them as you read through the book, and the sneaking around when he's her dad's best friend is omg✨ I loved this one so so muchh ❤️ if you're thinking about starting WM this is your sign 🤝🏼
First of all thank you to Bianca for the arc ❤️🫶🏼 I really enjoyed reading this book it was so refreshing for my soul😩🫶🏼
Tropes: 💛grumpy x sunshine 💛dad’s best friend 💛age gap 💛forbidden love 💛touch her and you d!e 💛would burn the world for her
My thoughts to this book: I loved every bit of this book 🫶🏼 I’ve read this in a day and couldn’t put the book down. I love sienna she’s everything and such a pure and precious character of the book. Also I loved how Nicolai let in his feelings for her and how he always tried to protect her and also he did a lot of things for her (wich he hated btw) but she loved it 😭💛🫶🏼 If that’s not a whole Love dedication 🫶🏼
Review: This book starts of with Sienna publishing her book about her fathers best friends who later finds her book and reads it…
Sienna spent her whole life in different boarding school abroad since her father always sent her far away, like he couldn’t bare the sight of her ever since she was born because her mother died at birth… One summer she was back home, in England and the best friend of her father decided to visit them… From one day to the other her fathers became a very like “father figure” wich he’s never been to sienna and he decided to spent more time with her and so they all decided to take a vacation for a few weeks together with her fathers best friend…
Sienna knew her fathers best friend only through the media and pictures, she only then met him for the very first time when he came to visit them…. And she already had a crush on him but seeing him in reality just showed her how attractive he really is and how mesmerized she is by him, I mean she had a whole book dedicated to him … But Sienna wasn’t the only one who is head over heels… Nicolai Hale has only then seen his best friends daughter for the first time and he was bewitched by her beauty and her person being….
On their short vacation they got to know each other better and things started to heat up but then when things just started to become better everything crumbled, because Nicolai promised her father to keep a secret from her and she ended up finding it out…
So will they find back to each other? And what is this secret about?
Sobbing, crying, throwing up WTF? First of all, the dads bestfriend is a trope I never knew I needed. My heart aches for this book, Nikolai and Sienna are honestly one of my favourite couples. This book was quite fast paced but it was perfect for them two, they fell in love in such a short amount of time. The authors writing was everything!!! 😩 I barely understood half of the words that she wrote (English isn’t my first language) but her writing is something else!! It’s poetic but also has a different contrast, the way she expressed how Sienna and Nik felt for each other genuinely had my heart aching. I love how Siennas character changed throughout the book, she was the ‘sweet and nice’ girl at the start but in the end she switched up and was in her ‘idgaf’ era. I loved how she was portrayed, her whole character element was so unique it was sad at times. I’ve honestly fallen in love with this book, the amount of times I had to put this book down and take a breather was tiring 🤣 there were a few cringey bits in the book but I think that’s what makes it so good. Us girlies all secretly wish for a man to be as transparent and forward as Nik 😌 I wish we got more information about him!! Like HOW OLD IS THIS MAN?? I’m guessing mid 30’s as he’s clearly been friends with Siennas dad since they were little. I would’ve loved to have more chapters of his POV, I needed details and explanations on everything! I have an image of Nik in my head but I’ll be going of on what I think he looks like as there wasn’t much description towards him :( but I’m not complaining, from what we got Sienna is definitely a lucky woman. The moment I realised there was a bonus chapter/book I rushed to Amazon! I’ll be reading it tomorrow 🤭 I can’t wait for the other 2 books about Siennas friends. I hear one of the books is a stalker romance? 👀 sign me up please Anyway, I highly recommend it!! Very tense book, bit of a slow burn but the tense moments are so worth the wait. I need more of Nik and Sienna! Absolutely adored them. They were both so fun to read about, we needed more moments of them two together!! 10000/5 ⭐️
