Wounded Mountain Man is part of the multi-authored Hot Mountain Nights series. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, opposites-attract, grumpy-sunshine, forced-proximity, curvy virgin gets her mountain man romance. Jessalyn is a curvy rideshare driver. Duke is a hunky ex-military man who now lives in an RV in the mountains. When her car breaks down, she ends up at Duke's RV. The two are instantly attracted to each other. Things get hot and steamy, but will Duke let her in? These two had great chemistry and we got a lovely HEA.

Life’s Surprises . . .
Jessalyn is relatively new to Seduction Summit. She is a ride share driver and a wrong turn got her lost. Not only does she have no cell service, but her car decides to give her trouble and strands her there. Looking for help, she sets off walking and finds ex military retired veteran Duke Kennedy’s RV. After confirming she wasn’t a developer trying to steal his land, he asked if she was hungry and said he would stop at a burger stand after he checked over her car to see what needed fixing. He allowed her to wait in the RV and promised her a motorcycle ride later.
She was surprised to feel so attracted to the man and didn’t want to leave when he said he would take her to her home and she could get Brock Solid Repairs to tow the car to the shop in the morning. She thought she would rather stay here in his bed, but he would run for the hills if he knew she had never been with a man! But his plan was to take her to his favorite scenic overlook. He noticed he was feeling very overprotective of her and really liked having her around. There was something innocent about her and the way she phrased things… and then she asked if he had ever messed around with someone on his motorcycle, and would it support both of them! She told him of her fantasy and what she wondered about. So he said “Show me”. He had no intention of actually doing this while the motorcycle was moving, but having her sit there and show him would be interesting. (Not in a million years would I have ever tried anything like that on my motorcycle, even as a joke!) How far would she take this fantasy? And might it lead to a HEA for these two lonely people?
For me, the story was very slow moving with a touch of crazy and unrealistic. But it had started in the right direction before Jessalyn’s curiosity, and they could probably get adjoining hospital beds if they do decide to work on their motorcycle gymnastics, so a HEA was vaguely possible...

WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.
Duke and Jessalyn met when she is picking someone up and her car breaks down. Jessalyn goes looking for help when she's up on the mountain and finds Duke's RV. When Duke steps out he's holding a gun. Duke has realtors come onto his property asking for him to sell but he doesn't want to. When Duke realizes Jessalyn isn't a realtor, he puts the gun away. Duke takes Jessalyn into his RV and they talk. Duke offers to look at Jessalyn's car, but he will have it towed to a garage. Duke offers Jessalyn something to eat but then they decide to head into town to grab a burger. Duke stops and looks at Jessalyn's car and lets her know what's wrong, then they head into town. Duke asks Jessalyn about her ride share, she usually never travels this far up the mountain. Jessalyn tells Duke that she wants to be a teacher but you need a degree. Duke suggests she talk to the school and maybe they can help her as they are eating their burgers. Then Duke takes Jessalyn to a scenic overlook, and she tells him she wanted to run her hands over him. Duke asks Jessalyn what was stopping her. Duke tells Jessalyn to show him what he wanted to do to her, and she tells him she's never done this before. Duke figured out Jessalyn was a virgin. So Jessalyn runs her hands over Duke, over his stomach then his chest. Jessalyn unzips Duke's pants and then starts to pleasures him. Then Duke kisses Jessalyn then pleasures her, then they make love. Two years later, Jessalyn stands in the middle of her classroom. Jessalyn and Duke are married and expecting soon. Jessalyn is still working on her degree but the school hired her while she does. Jessalyn finally had everything she ever wanted, a family she longed for in a town she could have only dreamed of making her home.

Love at the end of a rifle barrel.
Growing up Jessalyn never had a real home. Her mother moved in with boyfriend after boyfriend until either she decided to move out or was told to leave. Finally, when she was fifteen, she went out on her own and started working. When she was sixteen, a friend's mother gave her an old car. She scrimped and saved until she had enough money to put towards a more reliable car. Then she worked for different rideshare companies and also delivered groceries. Competition for jobs was making it hard to survive. Another driver told her about Seduction Summit, and it sounded perfect for her. She moved to Adairsville, where she rents a room in the home of an older lady.
When Duke was sixteen, his best friend was killed in a car accident. That pushed him towards joining the military. On his first deployment, shrapnel had taken a large chunk out of his leg, which ended his military career.
She's on her way to pick up a rider at a campground when things start going wrong. Her car's GPS stops working correctly, and she has no cell phone service. She doesn't see any sign for a campground, but there is a paved road, so she turns onto it. Then her car begins to sound funny. The thunking noise makes her think she may have a flat. All of a sudden there's a hissing noise and steam billowing in front of her car. She's going to have to follow the road and hopefully find help.
She never expected some huge mountain man to fling open a door to an RV with a rifle aimed at her!

Oh my talk about hot! I really loved this ebook. Jessalyn is a rideshare driver and gets lost in the mountains. She ends up at camp grounds with a man holding a gun as he steps out of his RV. She's a little unnerved but just looking at the handsome rugged mountain man she feels safe and there's an undeniable connection flowing from her to him. Duke is a veteran and doesn't like being around people. He can't believe his eyes when a beautiful young woman shows up at his RV lost. He's just so intensely attracted to her. Their chemistry is hot and steamy and there's crackling in the air when they're in the same room. Jessalyn was new to the town of Seduction Summit and worked as a rideshare driver. She got a call to go to a campground up the mountain to pick up a passenger, but before long, she found herself lost. Then her car broke down and she realized her cell phone didn’t have service. Walking for help, she came across an RV. The man who opened the door had a gun! Duke was a reclusive military vet living in an RV on his own property. He also had a motorcycle. There was an instant attraction between them. Jessalyn was an inquisitive gal and asked Duke lots of interesting questions about his “bike.”
The story is fast-paced, and the author has done a wonderful job of creating an interesting and hilarious plot and characters. Hart is excellent at world building, especially with her mountain town of Seduction Summit. I definitely recommend this book!.

This charming story kicks off with Jessalyn taking a wrong turn, which leads to her car overheating and leaving her stranded on a mountain road. With no cell phone service, she bravely decides to set off on foot to find help.
Enter Duke, a rugged mountain man who lives off the beaten path. He's completely surprised when a gorgeous girl shows up at his doorstep with car trouble. The spark between them is instant and sizzling!
This sweet, quick-read instalove story has everything you could wish for: a lovable couple, plenty of steamy moments, and a pace that's perfect for reading in one cozy sitting. Seduction Summit mountains are beautiful and Jessalyn was trying to find the campsite that booked her as a ride share. The GPS gave out and she couldn’t figure out what road to turn onto. Needless to say she picked the wrong one and there goes her luck. The car dies and her phone doesn’t work because there is such spotty service. She starts to walk to get help and sees a campfire only to be greeted with a shotgun because she’s trespassing. Duke surprised to see her finally lets her in and finds out what happened. He leaves her for a few minutes to check on her broken car and get some food. She’s mesmerized by him and how hot he is. Duke the loner wants nothing to do with her yet doesn’t want her to leave. The rest of the day they spend together having fun.

Sweet Sweet Story!
I absolutely loved this one. Jessalyn had only moved to Adairsville a few weeks ago where she was a Ride Share Driver. While on her way to a campsite in Seduction Summit to pick up a Ride Share customer her car broke down. Having no cell service she started walking up the road. Thinking she was hallucinating she spotted an RV. She called out a Hello a couple of times and was surprised to see the door opening up and a gorgeous man walk out except he was pointing a rifle at her. After exchanging a few words he realized she wasn’t a threat. Duke the RV owner invited her in and as they sat and talked at his table he offered to look at her car on his way out to get burgers. When Duke arrived back to the RV they shared dinner and then… 😊😊😊😊😊💜💜💜💜💜🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

This is a fun, short, and over-the-top mountain man story that's part of the mulit-author series Hot Summer Nights series. It’s also set in the Hart’s Seduction Summit universe.
The FMC, a rideshare driver, gets lost and breaks down, only to find help from a reclusive, hunky ex-military MMC.
They quickly fall into lust/love, and he takes her for a ride on his motorcycle up to the summit lookout, where things get extra steamy on this hot mountain night.
It’s a fast, sweet, and spicy read, perfect if you're in the mood for a quick escape with a rugged hero and some heat.

Jessalyn’s car ends up breaking down and smoking. As the only uber-like driver around the area, she was letting down people with this. Since his car is in the shop, Duke offers to give her a ride on his motorcycle. They end up talking and she finds out that land developers want his land and he just wants to be left alone. He was in the military and like the title he is wounded. They talk some more and then they realize that they are very attracted to each other and things progress quickly. I love the end of the book. The book is sweet, steamy, romantic, heartfelt, and fun. I can’t wait to see what happens next in the series.

I got a kind of laid back vibe while reading this story; I liked it. Duke didn't really enjoy being social and set himself up so he was intentionally isolated. Jessalyn managed to get lost looking for her pick-up (she's Seduction Summit's answer for Uber). Greeting by shotgun was a new one for her - yeah, me too! These two talked like old friends and I felt like I was around their campfire. Sometimes actions speak louder than any words we can find to say, and that was definately the case for them. The story itself was quick and very low angst, just a nice smooth palate cleanser. No points of contention, arguments or stress. Pleasant surprise when that happens.

A night of expected surprises
Wounded Mountain Man by Lilah Hart is part of the multi-author Hot Mountain Nights series, but also ties to the author's existing Seduction Summit world. This is a quick and enjoyable read about Jessalyn and Duke. She moved to Seduction Summit, well really she lives in Adairsville, to work as the only rideshare driver. The thing is that GPS does not work higher up the mountain and that means she ends up on the wrong road with a car that is steaming, and not in a good way. After walking further up the road she discovers a parked RV that may be spooky but will deliver a night she never expected and a future she had not dreamed about.....and that is what happens when the door opens and out walks a giant man, Duke.

Jessalyn is a ride share driver who gets lost in the mountains and starts to get some car trouble. She walks ahead to find help and ends up at Duke's RV. He offers to get her dinner, and then to take her to a look out place on his motorbike. It's a beautiful place, and they start talking, and then also start trying things on his bike. You know what they say about Seduction Summit, the ladies come and never seem to be able to leave.
This was a short but cute story that was fun to read and I've been enjoying this series a lot.

Who would have thought having a rifle pointed at you would be foreplay. Don’t get me wrong, everyone has their kinks, but I’m not sure I would be able to trust someone who pointed a gun at me. This book was amazing. It had me laughing and trying to imagine the scene Lilah describes. I look forward to the next book in the series which I am actually starting after I write this review lol 😆. The books in this series are short and sweet and they help me relax at the end of a long day of cleaning and recleaning my house after my kids destroy it.

The FMC is stranded and meets the MMC on a road she walks down to get help. She is very forward with her questions. The slow build-up to the spice is so yummy and worth waiting for. It was hard to tell who fell first for the other.
One of the best lines in a book: “I don’t want to walk a single second in this earth without her by my side.” Swoon. They help each other meet their life goals. This was a super short story and was heart warming and sweet. I loved it and would definitely recommend it.

A great Seduction Summit story. Jessalyn has set herself up as the only ride share in the area but due to no cell service got lost on her way to a campground. Her car breaks down on the road she hopes is right and has to walk further up the road where she finds an RV. Duke is ex military who doesn't find it easy to be around a lot of people. He ends up taking her in and feeding her. Their HEA is entertaining and not to be missed.

Such a refreshing take in this book.
Our hero Duke was hiding from society, and Jessalyn was a ride share driver broken down in his driveway.
This was definitely instalove, and oh my… were they forward.
Smexy time on the bike, and she was the one to initiate basically every interaction…
It was a bit abrupt, and I’ll admit, I had to giggle about a few bits, but still a fun read.
Hopefully, we get a few more brazen virgins, because I had fun with this one.

This series is packed with quick reads with plenty of steam. Seduction Summit is the backdrop for this story. Where ex military men go to find peace and discover their forever loves. Jessalyn is the only ride share in town. Traveling up into the mountain, the GPS is not reliable and when her car starts overheating it stops altogether. Duke likes being isolated in the mountains for a reason. When someone knocks on his RV door he greets them with his rifle drawn. Great read.

This is the story of Duke and Jessalyn. They meet when Jessalyn, a car-share driver, breaks down in the mountains and is hopelessly lost. When she sets out to find help, she meets Duke who helps her by offering her food and not only that, but also takes her on his motorbike to a lookout point where things quickly get heated between them. A wonderful story that keeps you glued to their story from the start.

Jessalyn's day takes a steep turn when she is trying to find the local campground, and a new delivery driver, gets lost and stumbles upon Duke at his RV in the middle of the woods with a great view.
I love how Duke brings Jessalyn out of her shell, but also how Jessalyn makes him see there is more to life to living in the woods and sometimes our own HEA can scare up when it comes.
Duke doesn't mind showing Jessalyn around and hopefully giving her a reason to stay. These two fall hard, fast, funnily, steamily, and its a beautiful HEA.

This series was a new on for me. I didn't realize that there were 11 other books in this series and now that I've had a taste, I'll be sure to read the previous books. This one is a classic Lilah Hart short, spicy, and sweet story. What is it about these reclusive mountain men? Whatever it is, I'm eating it up. Our FMC comes to a difficult spot and her mountain man comes to her rescue and the sparks fly from there on out. Great read. All you need is about an hour of time.
