Welcome to Solar City. Stay clear of Nova Zones, and don’t venture out after dark. The Hunter’s Hotline is posted across the city—don’t lose the number, or you might lose a limb.

Vesperin Vox is living on borrowed time. As a rare Aetherborn, Rin’s magic makes her a coveted target. When she was seventeen, Rogues—Souls corrupted by Nova—slaughtered her family and left her bleeding on her bedroom floor. She should have died. Instead, she survived.

But survival came with a price.

The same nuclear-like energy that infects the Rogues now pulses through her veins and coils tightly around her heart. No one knows how she’s still alive—not the doctors, not the scientists, and certainly not Rin.

All she knows is that her time in this life is running out.

Now twenty-two and training to become a Hunter, Rin is ready to fight back against the monsters that tore her world apart. But when familiar eyes look at her like she’s already theirs, and others spark dangerous desires she cannot resist, she begins to wonder if this life is truly her first… or just the latest.

Six men, one girl, and a love spanning lifetimes.

Bonds of Starfall
is a dark, why choose, sci-fi romantasy. Reader discretion advised.

Have I mentioned how much I hate when authors don’t put the type of person they write in a synopsis for a book?

I was absolutely super excited when I saw this on Facebook group a few months back and I pre-ordered it because the premise sounds absolutely interesting and intriguing. And so I was willing to give an offer. I hadn’t read before a shot.

So this is my review initially with only 4% into the book. I wish we got a glossary of descriptions in regards to what things were. For example, our FMC Rin is an Aether. What is that? I have no idea. It’s like we were supposed to know what it was going into the book.

Secondly, I really wish I had known this was third person before I bought it because I don’t like third person books I feel as I’m reading something that was narrated almost like a voice in a movie. It’s just not my cup of tea, which is why I haven’t read that one really popular BookTok series Ironside.

OK, the rest of my review is gonna be continued after I finished the book. I got used to the third person toward the middle of it. It still wasn’t my favorite, but it wasn’t horrible like the one I did read which made me not like third person in the first place.

The stories are really interesting again I just really wish we had like a glossary or something that specifically explains the different types of Stella, the planets, the different companies that are involved in this so on and so forth.

Our FMC is considered an Aetherborn. You might be asking well what does that mean? I have absolutely no idea. I read the entire book and still no description or explanation for that exact type of Stella (which is their power) was given.

I’m not gonna really go into details because I feel like you should read this yourself because again the book was great. I just really wish it wasn’t a third person. So our FMC went through something pretty tragic at 17 and lost her parents. At the same time, she almost lost her life. Now the question being did the circumstances that lead to her parents dying or what happened right immediately after that to her irrevocably change the way her body works (You’ll have to read the book to understand what I mean) or was it the circumstances of her sleepovers? (again you’ll have to read the book to understand what I mean.) we get introduced to her Soulbonds, in various different situations throughout the book

I will say that when you meet your Soulbond and you touch for the first time if it’s not your first life, you’re supposed to remember every single lifetime you’ve had with them upon first touch for some reason Rin our FMC is the only one that is not able to. Not only that she now has an extremely serious heart condition, that’s causing her death to speed up. So again we don’t know why she can’t remember her guys or anything like that. Not to mention every single one of her men has said that she’s very different in this life than any that they’ve shared before.

Some of her men are easier to collect than others. But I’m hoping they’ll all grow on us.

Not gonna lie I do want to finish the series because I wanna know what happens like I said it’s very intriguing but it’s just not gonna ever be one of my favorites because of the third person and that’s not the authors fault that she wrote it like that it’s just a personal preference and it’s just not gonna be highly rated for me because of that.

So if you live third person by all means, read it if you never read third person try it out it’s just not for me. But I did enjoy this so I will be writing it a little bit higher.

♾️ ⭐️ read right here omg (minor spoilers).

I absolutely devoured this book! It was everything I wanted and more. I’m utterly obsessed with the fmc, Vesperin. She’s so cool. She’s exactly the type of fmc I enjoy, softer and sweet, yet she does have a fierce side that shines through every so often.

Her dynamics with the men were amazing to read about. I have a lot of chaotic thoughts on them.

Lucien: he’s very hot to me hehe. That one scene at the beginning when he checked her heart rate ooooh

Kit: probably my favorite!! (Especially since the end yk)

Cyrus: UNHINGED! He’s so strange and I absolutely loved it

Rhyden: probably my second favorite. Their backstory made everything so rich

Auren: I loved him at the beginning, then he disappeared and I was left curious. When he showed back up, it was to absolutely steal my heart. That One Scene hm.

Atlas: very very curious about him hmmm

Notes on spice: I loved how it was written 👀 🔥 it scratched that itch of toeing the line between dubious and not.

I love books that make me feel a little sick and this one definitely did ESPECIALLY the ending! I was halfway to throwing up at the final chapter with all the descriptions…

I can’t wait for the next one aghhh

I don't even know where to begin. This was literally everything!!!!

We have our fmc, Vesperin, or Rin ( I love her name). She is brave, strong, intelligent, realistic, but also super gentle and kind and is a hopeless romantic even though she doesn't want to hope...

Our mmc's are Kit, Lucien, Atlas, Rhyden, Cyrus, and Auren. These men are all so different from each other, but together, they are exactly what Rin needs and deserves.

Kit is her adopted brother and who Rin is probably most comfortable with from the beginning. He is cold and harsh except to everyone bar Rin. It's pretty obvious straight away that he cares deeply for Rin but doesn't show it.

Lucien, her doctor. He grew up around Rin, though a few years older. He is very quiet and extremely patient. But he has secrets and big ones, and Rin deserves to know who he is.

Rhyden is her vampire "husband," and I really like him, I know i'm not supposed to, but I like him for some reason. He is very grumpy and holds a bit of a grudge towards Rin.

Auren is Rin's soul searcher, i don't know too much about him as of yet, but I am sure i will. He does pop up, but not enough for me to grasp what he is truly like. He and Rin have great banter so far, and he seems pretty amazing.

Cyrus, probably, so far, is my favourite. He is just so loving and devoted to Rin even though she finds it hard to believe him initially.

Atlas, he is something else entirely, and again, we only get snippets of him, but I know he'll be heavily involved moving forward. He is extremely kind and just otherworldly.

After something horrific happens to Rin and her family, she decides that she is going to be a hunter and live her life for as long as she can as she was given nova, a form of power to keep her alive, however it comes with a cost. We see Rin start to train as a hunter. Part of those requirements are to go to particular zones all over the galaxy/ space to unalive the Rogues (corrupted beings), and Rin stumbles upon various men when taking on these exercises. She feels as though she has a pull to them, but she doesn't understand why because this is her first life. Or is it? She is extremely confused because she also has a pull towards Kit and Lucien. They all hold secrets, but I think the biggest secret so far is what the people closest to her are keeping from her. I'm very intrigued to see how that will unravel as the story progresses because that ending was mind-blowing 🤯🤯🤯

I'm excited for what's next, but I'm also dreading it, too. It's an amazing read 🙌🙌🙌

Thank you so much, Micah, and your lovely team for the opportunity to read this story. I am so blessed to be a part of your ARC team 🙏

ARC READ 🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷

Oh my goodness. Boy was this a PHENOMENAL 5 star.

Truly got me out of my reading slump, SO MUCH SO that I have been up for the past day binge reading this. It’s 4am. That’s how you know it’s hitting!!

Where do I even begin.

This book follows a phenomenal FMC, named Vesperin AKA Rin. She suffered a tragedy that has changed the trajectory of her life. A power — Nova — that protected her, but at the cost of time ticking on her life span. Along her journey to become a Hunter, she meets HER MEN 😝

One thing about this author, she knows how write in such a beautiful way. I loved Rin’s character! She’s a perfect blend of a soft, but strong FMC. I truly dislike when female characters are portrayed as annoying, or unreasonable in books when they’re classified as soft/strong FMC, but THIS was done perfectly well.

THE MENNN OH MY DAYS. I need more like yesterday. I actually don’t know how I’m going to survive without the next book in my hands.

Lucien was becoming my favourite but HES FUMBLING A LITTLE BIT AT THE END. He is so amazing though. Doctor, possessive, protective, hot all in one. He’s always looking after Rin and it’s so cute, but he’s too afraid to ruin what they have going on…

Kit. Oh dear, SO MANY EMOTIONS WITH THIS ONE. Honestly loved Rin and Kit, the childhood friends to lovers will always have my heart. And I just can’t say no more on him 😔 (emotional damage that one) I NEED THE NEXT BOOK.

Atlas - we don’t get a whole much on him, but i’m speculating he will be one of the favs in the future. For now IM JUST CONFUSED!! What is up with him?

Rhyden. BY FAR SECOND FAV. I know he probably shouldn’t be, but I may be color blind, and a red flag is green to me. He is broody (with reason I guess), cold, but loves his WIFE 😝 Cannot wait to see more development in their relationship.

And last but not least, my absolute favourite. Cyrus. UGHHHH IM LITERALLY HEART EYES. He is so perfect, when he calls her doll 🙉🙉🙉🙉🙉🙉🙉 I could read pages upon pages with their interactions, he’s so flirty but SO IN LOVE WITH HER it’s so beautiful to see.

All in all, this was such a fun read. Not only were the relationships a blast to read, but the concept of this was so interesting. Having soul bonds and meeting them makes you remember all the past lives you’ve had together… IS THAT NOT SO BEAUTIFUL 🥹🥹🥹

Absolutely love this series already and cannot wait for more!!

I wish I liked this more, I really do, mostly because smaller authors deserve all the encouragement they can get but something about this book just did not mesh well with me. I think it's a mix of things: lack of proper background for some things, lack of better world building, lack of better connections between characters while at the same time diving headfirst into interactions that did not hit the emotional depth I wish I felt. The MC is not bad, but she's nothing amazing either, I wanted to like her, her struggle, her adventure, but because of the lack of deeper connection with the world and some interactions/things happening, I never fully liked her. The MMCs are another big issue for me, they are unique and interesting for sure, but with the exception of one, the rest just felt... there, lacking depth in an odd way Im not sure how to describe. I give the book 3 stars because I dont want to be too harsh on it.

I honestly wish I could rate this more than five stars. It deserves all of the stars! From page one I had started forming attachment to the fmc and tbh that is rare. But she was so easy to relate to. The author truly made her and all the mmc’s feel so real. The storyline was absolutely amazing. I am a fool for reincarnation and soulmates so I ate it up. I normally won’t start a series until it’s completed but with it being why choose, sci-fi fantasy romance with reincarnation I knew I had to and I’m glad that I did. I will be eagerly waiting for the next. Because the author’s writing is so freaking amazing I plan on starting another series written by them to hold me over. If you want an amazing story about love that lasts over lifetimes and a story that will make you swoon, smile, gasp and cry then this is the one!!

Refreshing and new

Shiver my timbers, I am obsessed. This was refreshing to read. I don’t even have words.
Reverse harems are my bread and butter but goodness was I not expecting this to be so enticing.
The men were phenomenal, I fear I’m picking favorites already when I should wait till I know more.
Just so we’re clear though Kit is in the lead.
That child friends to lovers trope never does me wrong.
Also can I just say how interesting this story was, the reincarnation aspect lured me right in and boy it didn’t let go.

I recommend this for anyone that needs something a bit different than the usual reverse harem with an axed sci fi razzle dazzle. You won’t be disappointed.

Perfection.

This book was nothing short of perfection. The writing, the plot, and the characters….all of it was just perfect. Prepare to get lost in this book because you will get lost within the pages. It will break your heart and put it back together again. By the time you get to the last page you’ll be angry that it ended so soon and you’ll think about it the rest of the day.

Micah you truly outdid yourself! I’m so proud of you, you’re truly my favorite author : )
