Aseo the Tarnished has a new goal— obtaining Ranni the Witch’s Cursemark of Death—and he even agrees to enter Ranni’s service for it. But as soon as Aseo signs up, she sends him off on a mission to the Eternal City of Nokron with Blaidd the Half-Wolf in tow! However, the perils of Nokron may not be the greatest dangers. Preceptor Seluvis is a real puppet hobbyist, and he thinks an authentic, life-size Aseo action figure to do his bidding would make a fine addition!
John Neal was an American writer, critic, editor, lecturer, and activist. Considered both eccentric and influential, he delivered speeches and published essays, novels, poems, and short stories between the 1810s and 1870s in the United States and Great Britain, championing American literary nationalism and regionalism in their earliest stages. Neal advanced the development of American art, fought for women's rights, advocated the end of slavery and racial prejudice, and helped establish the American gymnastics movement.
Aeseo's quest continues, as more and more NPCs rope him into their madness. Ranni and her group tighten the noose, while a trip to Nokron proves hilarious for all involved.
Road To The Erdtree likes its recurring jokes, but it manages not to hit them too hard all the time so that they get annoying, or like they're the only things that the book has to say. The plot still moves, there are some new characters introduced, and the journey continues at a nice pace while managing to involve all of the big plot points from the game in its own special way.
