The Cheetah's Vow: Book Two: An Arranged Marriage Shifter Romance

Rate this book
Their marriage was meant to be a trap.
Now, it might be the only thing keeping them alive.

Makenai never wanted a mate—let alone a husband who ignites a fire inside her she can’t control. But after uncovering her father’s treachery, she’s forced to rely on the one man she swore to resist.

On their honeymoon, far from the threat back home, Dakaris is determined to teach Makenai what love should be—safe, fierce, and unwavering. Yet the ghosts of her past refuse to let her go.

Dakaris vowed to protect Makenai, no matter the cost. But when he and his fiery new wife unearth the horrifying truth behind her father’s power, the cost may be higher than either of them imagined.

The elite shifter families are in danger, and the monster they’re hunting won’t go down without a fight.

Bound by passion and an unbreakable vow, can they survive the storm ahead—or will sins of the past steal their chance at the future they’d finally dared to dream of?

Mother. Author. Wellness Blogger.
Lover of Music. Believer of Romance. Dirty Minded.

LeeSha McCoy is the author of all things African American Romance. She released her first book in 2012 and currently writes African American Urban Romance, Paranormal, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Romantic Comedy, and Steamy Contemporary Romance under the pen name Karmen Kane.

With over 40 books published to date, representation is important to her, so you will always find positive representations of black men and women in her books, with a focus on family bonds, growth, and above all, strong fiery heroines and the heroes that love the hell out of them for it.

Writing novels that make her readers 'feel' is her mission; she does not just write stories to be read, but for her readers to experience. As someone who has lived through many up and downs in her personal life, she uses those experiences in all of her stories, priding herself on the realism in her work, regardless of genre.

She began writing in the late 90's, although it was mostly song lyrics she wrote to escape her loneliness. As one of only a handful of bi-racial children living in her small hometown of Banbury, she struggled to make friends and to be accepted, so she spent most of her childhood alone.

She currently lives in England, but her family is spread all across the United States, including the states of Baltimore, Colorado, and Texas.

As a mother to four beautiful children, she spends her spare time playing Roblox and finding new places to walk with them, helping others discover self-love through her wellness blog, binge reading dirty romances, or watching food review shows on YouTube.

One thing Ms. McCoy is going to do every time is have you on your toes. This book definitely gave me the closure that i was seeking after book one. Makenai’s parents were absolute trash. I’m so glad Dakaris parents showed her the love she deserved. Her parents got EXACTLY what they deserved. I was so happy that neither of them took the time to here a story full of lies and deceit when the time came because nothing they said could have changed what they put her and all the other through. Now the ending though 😏, I have a feeling Ms. McCoy is back in that kitchen cooking something up lol. Good thing I’m still hungry for more.

As a sequel it was a bit underwhelming . So I have decided to write this and review this imagining if it was just part of book one. I think everything was wrapped up perfectly and this book could’ve just been added onto the first book since there really wasn’t any new problems that arose. All of the problems in this book seem to be what we were dealing with with in the first book.

And although I did appreciate that the first book was short I don’t think there would’ve been a problem with just combining these two and having a little bit of a longer book.

Must Read!!

Loved everything about it. Only this author could make me question my sanity for getting turned on by cheetahs being intimate. I experienced every emotion while reading this as if it were happening to me. Absolutely LOVED the revenge Ken was able to get. If you are into shifters, you will LOVE this story!!

ok read

This was an okay read. Would’ve been better without all the sex, but because the author put a disclaimer in the book about it I won’t complain too much. For me though it took away from the story. It was a decent read though, but it was missing something that I can’t quite figure out.

With parents like Makenai's who needs enemies?

I was in shock when I learned what they were up to. How could the be so cruel to their own kind no less. Even their future grandchildren were not safe! I felt so sad for Makenai but Dakaris and his family were there for her 100%. LOVED THAT! When it came time to take care of her parents I wasn't sad one bit.

Book 2

Book 2 nicely wraps up this series about cheetah shifters. The title is a little misleading, the families aren't really rivals. Overall, I enjoyed this series. It was a quick read for me.

Ms Leesha does it again this story just had so many layers. How Makenai's father was really a SOB. Like he was really using his daughter and all she wanted was love. However when Mr Dakaris came in the picture, he played no games with her and all I could fo was swoon. Great read.
