Error 520: Romance Found

Rate this book
Sera Maddox ordered a VR headset for one escapism. Specifically, from pre-med stress, her overbearing mother, and the reality of being the only full-figured, scholarship kid in a sea of rich legacies at Redgrave University. What did she get instead? A corrupted dating sim she never activated—one that’s now bleeding into her real life.

Every time she crosses paths with a hot guy on campus, her vision glitches. Affection meters. Trope labels. Choice prompts. Only she can see them. And no matter how hard she tries to ignore the system, it keeps throwing her into fairy-tale meet-cutes with four wildly incompatible

The broody roommate. The hockey god frat boy. The legacy prince. The tattooed bad idea with a motorcycle.

Sera doesn’t want love. She wants to graduate. But the sim has other plans.

And unfortunately... It’s learning.

I have been writing and telling stories since the early 2000s. However, I never published my writings. I was keeping them to myself. I recently took the chance to publish my books. And I'm happy to say I've had some success and am building a reader base on GoodNovel. It's a privilege to share my work with a large and welcoming audience.

I opened Error 520 expecting lighthearted digital flirtation and found myself laughing, swooning, and possibly re-evaluating my relationship with technology and hot messes.

This story is pure serotonin—a collision of sci-fi glitchpunk, college chaos, and rom-com emotional warfare. It reads like a late-night group chat between geniuses, weirdos, and people who definitely need therapy but are too busy saving the simulation.

Sera? A caffeine-powered icon.
Lesley? My anxious, brilliant hero.
Jett, Beckett, and Sterling? The holy trinity of chaos I didn’t know I needed.
And Quell? The smug alien algorithm who stole my heart byte by byte.

And let’s talk Easter eggs. This book is stacked with sly pop-culture winks that’ll make any Gen-X or millennial reader cackle out loud—Tron light-cycle energy, The Breakfast Club angst, cheeky nods to Final Fantasy, and enough ‘internet nostalgia meets cinematic melodrama’ to fuel a thesis. It’s sharp, funny, and self-aware in all the best ways.

Error 520 doesn’t just glitch the system—it breaks the fourth wall, reboots your heart, and leaves you smiling like you’ve just found the perfect inside joke.
