Mansions

Rate this book
My family estate was built in the 1920s, at the height of the boom years. It's a massive Tudor style, with two wings and thirty rooms. It's a sprawling, ugly beast.

It's also the perfect hiding place.

Armstrong Manor is off the beaten path, desolate, and far from any suspicion. It's the best playground for my deviant desires.

Where Adrienne Hamina is concerned, all of my desires are deviant.

I spent fifteen years in lust with a woman who was as intangible and as wild as a warm breeze.

Now she's no longer a fantasy.

I've tasted her blood, her sweat, and her come. I've witnessed her in the rapture of orgasm and at dizzying heights of pain.

I'm more enamored with her than ever.

She'll never run from me again.

Ever.

Every mansion has its secrets... Adrienne is mine.

I originally started publishing in the dark erotica genre and I have branched out into M/M romance/erotica.

My latest M/M book, Golden Boys, will be available in July 2021.

I'm a true fan of LOVE, romance, and sexy times.

I love writing about power plays between two people, whether they're in love or in lust. I love the way people can communicate through sex. I love taking my characters to the edge and shoving them off.

If you like to take a walk on the dark side, you're my kind of person. Maybe we can be friends.

4.5 I Must Be Sick Stars!

Adrienne and Dorian met when they were teenagers and had an instant connection. Dorian could never get her face out of his mind - an obsession was formed ever since their first meeting. They both moved on with their lives, Dorian took over his fathers company and got married while Adrienne travels the world as a freelance photographer. They cross paths again in New York at an event and lets just say Dorian isn't letting her go this time... no matter what.

There is just so much messed up stuff in this book. Its dark, gritty and very raw. The sex alone made me uncomfortable at times... Dorian loved causing Adrienne pain and lo and behold she loved being the recipient of said pain.

Dorian was OTT obsessed with Adrienne and he pretty much does whatever it takes to keep her safe under his thumb. I honestly hated some of the stuff he did to her but it was also hard not to really like him at times.

"As far as I'm concerned, she already belongs to me, whether she knows it or not. And I take meticulous care of my possessions."

If it isn't obvious by now... this book is not safe at all!!! Dorian has a wife, mistress and Adrienne. He gets rid of the wife and mistress later on but still.

I quite enjoyed the ending because I really didn't expect the anti-hero to get his happy-ish ending. I mean he is an abductor and commits murder so I was shocked that he still kinda won in the end. I mean usually some morals come into play and the ending is meant to slap the bad guy on the wrist but nope not for Dorian! He got the girl and everything else... I am curious to see how this story will continue, and if Adrienne decides it is time to fight back!

Well...

Fuck...

What a depravingly sick book...

And yet I couldn't stop reading it...

I know i hated the guy from the start and there's no redemption for him in my eyes even though the author attempted to show otherwise...

Fuck...I m just so conflicted after finishing this...it pushed my limits and a general sense of tolerance...but despite the fact that it was very well written, this story and the main male character simply put me off, made me crawl from my own skin and think of what utterly vile things I would do to this guy if he was for real...

So, if that was the utmost purpose of this book than it fulfilled its meaning but if there was a hidden desire from an author to make the readers like these characters, in the end and their story than well, I m not buying it...they are unlikable, they are despicable and it's very hard to understand any of the actions, especially those of the anti-hero pulled off and got away with it.

And i guess that bugs me the most-that he got away with it all...

Fuck it all to hell...

after a sleep over, i think I can honestly put things into perspective and to rate this book as fairly as possible, all considering.

So, I applaud for the writing, it's effortless and captivating , the proof of it is the fact that I have continued to read the story inspite of the disturbing content, when in fact, the truth is, I was actually captivated by this concept (cause the subject could actually be found in real life sitations and therefore is even more disturbing but shockingly captivating), BUT my main remark here is the actual ending. Regardless, the inner pull of mine, to seek HEA in my books, I strongly believe that this book would in fact have a fantastically thrilling impact, if it ended differently (without a HEA).

But since the author continuously implies to the romance aspect of this story, I simply have to disagree. This is NOT really a romance, this is an OBSESSION . A truly, absolutely, shockingly stunning obsession, a crippling disease of a one man over a woman.

They both fight their own demons and dark depravity and they are both lost into this sickening game of lust, carnal sexuality and sickening need BUT there's NO love.

At least I haven't felt that, at all.

So, all considering, I'm rating this 3 stars.

and stand assured, this book will stay in my memory for quite some time, especially for the aspects I consider well worthy of dissembling and yet uterrly in need of dissecting

This book has taken my psychological analysis beyond. I had disturbing understanding with the hero knowing he is lunatic and is doing all the bad things and I wanted his sins to be hidden so he can do some more. How can Whitney Bianca manipulate the writing? The writing is simple and understandable but what's the secret ingredient for this talentful work!

Dorian is crazy, he does depraved things. I can't understand why I like him despite his abnormality. He has a mistress and wife, he gets rid of them and marries Adrienne. (I still like him)
Adrienne is the perfect counterpart to Dorian. She is normal and not normal. She travels the world as a freelance photographer. She lost half her leg in a bomb attack while working. Dorian took her, framed a fake death and held her captive. She doesn't sit idle and wait her circumstance in captivity. Despite the abuses she fights back.

There are so much deprobal, despicable things said and thought throughout the story. These vile things captivated me. A cripple woman and a depraved man with obsession. I might sympathize Dorian and his actions. My facination for sociopaths just grew bigger.

This “hero” not only has a wife, but also a mistress
And then
He also has the heroine 🥴

At one point, he sleeps with all three in less than two days 🥴

And he says he had a hard time guggling all three women when he only has one dick and only wants to REALLY fuck the heroine.

He’s so romantic 🙄

Good God 🥴

Where to begin…First, this would have been better if it went through editing again. There were a lot of omitted and redundant words or missing letters and punctuation. There were even completely different words that made sentences weird and false like this one: “I have a UTI to protect me against unwanted pregnancy, but I'm sure he already knows that.” 😅 It’s IUD. Definitely not UTI. This was only one of the many examples.

On to everything else. This book focused on the…relationship between Adrienne and Dorian. It was extremely fucked up, toxic, I can’t even say unhealthy because it goes so far beyond that it makes me sick. But whatever, I went into it knowing it was dark. And it was. This was not a romance y’all. I agree with the tags Dark, Gothic, Suspense.

I felt like Adrienne’s character was done a disservice. Not just from what was continually done to her by Dorian, which was disgusting, but by how she was written. I could tell she had depth and a past just waiting to be explored but it never was! I felt edged about her own goddamn history and we didn’t learn anything about it. The author focused all her time and energy on making Dorian who he was (a sociopath 100%) and wanted Adrienne to be a formidable “partner” to him and yet her character was continually subservient in all the times when you knew she would’ve been assertive and fucking badass. It just didn’t match who we were shown in her POV chapters and it made me not like the FMC.

So this had one of my least favorite things in it: cheating. I honestly can’t stomach cheating in any genre (or life lol) and there was a lot here. Dorian is married (unhappily bc he’s a fucking greedy manwhore) and also has a mistress. He then has Adrienne, but once he starts…sleeping with her, he does NOT stop sleeping with them. There was even a scene where he went from Adrienne to the mistress to his wife and back to Adrienne within like 36 hours. Thank fuck none of it was explicit but I was nauseous anyways 😅.

Here’s a quote on how our MMC thinks and to reinforce why this book isn’t a romance:
“I can't juggle three women anymore. I only have one cock and limited time. Besides, if I'm honest with myself, I only want to fuck Adrienne anyway. For now.” (Thus, I don’t believe in the “HFN/HEA” given.)

I didn’t find much enjoyment from this. I admit the plot outside the fucked up-ness of Dorian was interesting but everything else made me grimace. I didn’t DNF because the author does have talent for storytelling and kept me engaged.

—————
I’ve been reading a lot of fucked up books lately, let’s see if this takes the cake. I’ve heard so many things.

My god this book I’m in stunned shock it was so messed up a completely toxic journey down the rabbit-hole.
This was so far from healthy or any way normal and I devoured every deviant toxic moment.

It’s a story of obsession and madness complete with sick controlling head games and Dorian is as far from a romantic hero than you could ever get.
He’s a complete sociopathic selfish sadist that has a basic lack of morality and Adrienne well though not as bad as Dorian is equally as disturbed, They were definitely a toxic match made in hell.

I was initially a bit scared going into this as it’s everything that I usually dislike in a story and though on a knife-edge of tension throughout I was absolutely mesmerised.
From the opening chapter I was hooked and drawn in and despite my initial reticence, I’m glad I stepped out of my box and tried something different.

I’m being very vague here as I think this one is just one you need to jump into blind but do be aware this isn’t in any way a traditional love story or even romantic at all, Think everything anti-romance and this is what you have here.
It’s not pretty or neat or good there’s no redemption or guilt or even remorse, it just is what it is and the finish of this was so intriguing and also kind of fitting.

This one is defiantly not for the easily shocked or offended that’s for sure.
Dorian stays true to himself even when he ultimately accepts his new future for what it is he also then goes about achieving this new agenda in the coldest way possible like I said no remorse whatsoever, he does what he must to achieve his end game no apologies to anyone and Adrienne well I don’t think she’s quite finished herself yet, in fact, I’m positive and Dorian certainly shouldn’t get complacent this girl is far from tamed and is under no sappy illusions either.

So omg. WOW.
Just wow.
Few things out
- THIS BOOK IS UNSAFE. Opposite of safe. It has nothing to do with safety.
- DARK DARK DARK DARK DARK
- Possible triggers like forced seduction, dubious consent, blood play, suicide, cheating just to name few.
So lemme start.
This was my first book by this author but it certainly won't be the last.
This isn't a love story. There is no love. Just possession.
The hero reminded me of an obsessed collector with one goal. His most prized object was the heroine. And he went to insane lengths to obtain it.
Was he ever in love with her? I don't think so. He loved controlling her, fucking her, humiliating and degrading her. Just owning her.
He didn't care about the means, just the destination.
None of them were faithful, certainly not the hero- why? Because once he got the heroine- he thought he would be sated. But he wasn't.
He traps her like a bird in cage, but she does her best to escape.
It contains heavy themes- which were fascinating to read. The couple craved each other with depravity.
Their sex is insanely hot, and filled with blood and gore. There is a sadist- masochist theme which plays a major role.
The story has an ambiguous ending- but one which certainly fits for this couple.
I hope the bird someday flies.
Only one side note to the author- UTI is urinary tract infection. It doesn't prevent you from pregnancy. IUD is intra uterine device and that does.

I just finished this story about an hour ago and I'm sitting here trying to come up with the words for my review, but I'm utterly lost. This story sucked me in from the very first page. As the story unfolded, I became more and more horrified, but unable to put the book down. It was like watching a horrific train wreck that I absolutely could not look away from.

Dorian was quite the depraved lunatic through most of this story, but for some reason that I absolutely cannot fathom, I loved him despite all the sick shit he did through this story.

Adrienne was a fighter through the entire story. I had to admire her for being so strong despite her sad history, her devastating accident, and then all of her She never truly gave up on life.

Whitney Bianca has such an amazing talent for writing twisted stories. This one was dark and depraved, and yet it was impossible to look away from. I couldn't stand not knowing what would happen next. I'm pretty sure this one is going to stick with me for a few days.

AMAZING! This is my cup of dark romance. RTC.

*Full review*

Haunting. Sexy. Dark.

"Selfish, spoiled man," she whispers. I buck my hips, letting every inch of me slide into her heavenly c**t. The pleasure is so sharp it's almost painful.
"Beautiful, mad woman," I say through clenched teeth. "We deserve each other."

Did I mention hot?!

Whew. Mansions is a contemporary dark erotic romance with a hauntingly gothic bent.

You get both POVs - I'm personally not a fan of this but this was done incredibly well. I usually don't like reading the hero's POV as I like a little mystery from the men lol. And there are typos that even I caught.

But if you are looking for darkness, Dorian Armstrong is here. I read the first paragraph and was immediately intrigued by Dorian. He's the obsessive hero in pursuit of the heroine. He is the rich guy who tries to maneuver Adrienne's life so that her world is his.

It was sick but I never felt nauseated as I sometimes do with dark reads. I think this is for several reasons:

1. Dorian's obsession with Adrienne causes him to want to give her everything, make her happy. This includes him breaking his own rules.

I've been looking for Adrienne for most of my life after all.

Some heroes don't even have that. But Dorian, multiple times, drops his schedule in order to rush to Adrienne. He'll break his own rules. I mean, he still does neglect her and keep her in the dark, but there are moments where you see there are no limits to what he will do to have her - and that it does go both ways, where it will inconvenience him as much as it does her. To put it lightly.

2. Dorian's obsession with her is romantic. He is emotional over her, not clinically detached.

I really liked this line from his POV: But the reality of her is what brings me to my knees, not the fantasy.

Because he is 100% obsessed with her, but the obsession is for her. And his obsession is quite gothic, and there are moments of sadness to his thoughts that make his desire for her run deeper than even he realizes in the beginning. The author does a good job in revealing bit by bit how Dorian's obsession does turn into love.

3. Even though Dorian is trying to Stockholme Syndrome Adrienne, and it, more or less, works, they both feed off the toxicity of their relationship.

He still hasn't learned how to be free. I'm going to upend his perfectly ordered existence in every way possible. He doesn't know it yet, but he will, soon enough. I'll make him dirty again, soon enough.

The question of consent is muddled, of course, but we get Adrienne's POV. She's used to extreme sex games, and she has a worthy opponent in Dorian.

Overall, this didn't leave me feeling a little gross as dark romances sometimes do, and I think it mainly comes down to: like meets like. They are equally well matched for each other's twisted games. They get each other. And a sense of fated obsession between the two that made their bedroom moments incredibly powerful.

I'm definitely going to have read more by Whitney Bianca if this is what I have to look forward to.

Highly disturbing. I felt extremely uncomfortable because of the content. This is one of those books that pushes boundaries. I love, love, loved Adrienne. She was smart, independent, and adventurous. Dorian was abhorrent and detestable. His POV was fascinating. I adored the gothic elements in the book. There were decaying mansions, dramatic fires, a locked away woman, tragedy, and even a ghost. At times the story reminded me of Wuthering Heights, Jane Eyre, and The Yellow Wallpaper. Except Mansions was way more twisted and erotic.

3 days later... upping this to 5 stars, because I’m still thinking about Adrienne & Dorian often... ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

4.5 black stars...

My beautiful Adrienne. In a sea of peacocks, she was a hummingbird, flitting away at any sign of trouble. She can't run anymore. She can't hide.

God, this is a difficult review to write. First and foremost: Mansions is Dorian and Adrienne's story, and it isn't for the faint of heart. This book isn't the tale of an asshole who changes his ways because of the love of a good woman. No, this is the story of a vile human being's lifelong obsession with the only thing he could never have. It probably isn't love, but it is no less powerful.

Dorian's obsession was pretty much a fascinating character in and of itself: constantly changing, growing, and evolving. The creepy, eerie tone- and locations- fit perfectly as the reader experienced the fallout of Dorian's depraved actions. I hated him for most of the book, but that didn't mean I didn't look forward to the sections with his POV. His obsession with Adrienne may have been alarming, but it was also steadfast and intriguing. What he felt for Adrienne was the most extreme, genuine emotion he was capable of feeling. Really, she was his white whale, and there wasn't anything he wouldn't do to catch her.

Adrienne wasn't nearly as sick as Dorian, but she clearly wasn't entirely sane, either. Whereas Dorian tried to keep his cool facade at all times, Adrienne was filled with fire and emotion. I liked how she fought back and even if he didn't realize it, so did Dorian. It's why she left her mark, after all. And while I didn't find it to be love, or even romantic, there was no doubt about Dorian's unwavering infatuation with Adrienne. At times, his dedication was honestly admirable, even if his methods were sick and twisted.

Oh, and the sex? Rough, violent, consuming, and all-around explosive. Their bodies practically speak their own language when they are together. I don't want to say much more, because this story needs to be experienced without any warning. I blew through it because I needed to know how it could possibly end for them. So, as long as you can stomach a DARK story of a VERY deep obsession, I highly recommend this one! I know I won't forget about it anytime soon.

After fifteen years of wanting her, the fact that she's not a disappointment is almost as shocking as the fact that I've finally gotten a taste of her.

She's fearless and maybe she doesn't care what happens to her, but that's unacceptable now. As far as I'm concerned, she already belongs to me, whether she knows it or not. And I take meticulous care of my possessions.

Her hair falls in her face, her manic eyes flash mischievously, and her mouth curves up in a smile. I know then for sure. She's the most diabolically beautiful woman I've ever seen.

“I am vile,” I admit, loving the way the word feels in my mouth. I lean forward and kiss her shoulder, then press my lips to her ear. "I'll be the nastiest, dirtiest, filthiest fuck you've ever had."

This is how we were meant to be. Fucking. Bleeding. Screaming. Red hot.

I've never given up on Adrienne. I don't know how.

I’m not sure about the ending tbh.
BUT
This novel was dark, disturbing and captivating.
It’s not for the faint of heart, some scenes can be too much. I was WAY out of my comfort zone here but I couldn’t stop reading.
Dorian is an incredible character, he was beautifully written and I loved despising him. I’ve never read a book like this one before and frankly I don’t even know how to feel or what to say about it. I can tell you that I couldn’t put it down, it’s 4 AM right, I’ve just finished reading this book and I’m speechless.
I want to say more but I’m at loss for words right now.
Definitely one of the craziest, freakiest, scariest, book I have ever read in my life.
The writing style is gorgeous and flawless and I want to read more from this author.

4 stars!
But 20 out of 10 for originality, plot, smut, and delivery.

What a strange story. This one pulled me in but I am not sure how I felt about it.
The fact that he was married was off putting.
The heroine loosing her legs was strange but it was good to see how that didn't take anything away from the heros feelings for the heroine.
I hated the fact that he hero was still sleeping with his wife and mistress after getting together with the heroine. It felt so wrong but then when he dumped the mistress and killed the wife I was elated!
The hero was dark and twisted and I enjoyed that. When you first start reading the book you are lead to believe that the heroine is dark and wild. Sadly for me the heroine never showed this. She seemed quite flat to me. I wanted stronger, darker maybe a bit wilder.
Definitely a book that leaves conflicting emotions.

These are the words for this book.Strange. Weird. Cruel. Sometimes I like these factors in a book. But I didn’t in this case. Let me tell you why.

I love dark romance. In fact, the darker, the better, but I would not call this dark romance. If this were a movie, it would be a horror movie. But maybe the author meant it to be a horror story. In which case, she succeeded. I actually started this book and was enjoying it VERY much. When the story took an unexpected turn, it started to decline for me. There were so many factors of this book that I have read before in other books, and they typically don’t bother me, so it seems that the execution of these factors in this specific case was…off.

I would consider myself an expert on assholes. If a book has an alpha-hole, I will read it and most likely enjoy it. So I feel like I can honestly say that he wasn't an asshole. He was...cruel. A sadist. Which in some cases, I really don’t mind. I didn’t want the author to redeem him because some heroes are past redemption. I wanted him to be punished somehow....to at least grovel. There was no grovelling. There HAS to be grovelling for what he did to her. It was just swept under the rug and wasn't exactly addressed. He felt no remorse for his cruelty. I think if I knew more about his past or what made him who he was in the present, that may have helped me understand him. But there was definitely a lack of understanding on my end. It was just…lacking. And I ended up….not caring. Which is not a good feeling toward a book.

Just because I rated this book 2 stars doesn't mean it wasn't written well. The writing was very good because I actually finished the book. I'm usually a quitter if I don't enjoy a book. This 2 star rating was strictly my opinion and how I feel about the overall story.

It is well worth reading.

Wow.. My mind has been blown wide open. My first impression of this book was quite surprising, and I'm glad I gave it a chance. Finding a good book nowadays is becoming increasingly difficult. To find a gem in the midst of the rotten apples is indeed an appreciation.

It's a phenomenally good book. The author has crafted a plot that will put the muscles of your heart through many spells. With her keen eye for instinctive details, she emphasizes the setting of the story to give a clear picture of our characters' environments. The visual of different contexts adds to the enjoyment of the story for me as a reader.

The author's prose throws your emotions into turmoil. It is very difficult to describe how the story unfolds but it carries such a beautiful feeling to your soul that you feel as if you are in a state of Shangri-la. You will find yourself captivated by the extraordinary writing, which makes you feel tranquil as Nirvana would.

Each of these characters has its own unique personality. The characters Dorian and Adrienne are inherently twisted.

The character of Dorian is very complex. His obsession with Adrienne started when they were young. Consequently, that obsessive nature has been transformed into something wicked and destructive. His desire to obtain what he wanted gave no chance to anyone to deal with him.

In pursuit of his obsessional muse, he will go to any length. His heart is dark, he has no soul, but my god, the man is so disgusting and crude, I'm enchanted by his wickedness.

In her obstinacy, Adrienne loses something that is dear to her, and she is no longer the same person that she used to be. She expiates the sinful actions she has committed and is trapped like a bird in a cage, literally and figuratively.

There is no question about it: Mansions will captivate you for extended periods of time. You will feel your heart beat faster and your toes twitch. You will dangle your mouth wide, your nerves will tingle from their intimacy. The soles of your feet will clap like your adoration songs, while your mind spins out of control. These two will drain you of all of your emotions as they have exposed you to so many changes. With my long periods of time whilst reading, you'll lose your natural mind.

The author's exquisite writing immerses you in a whole new world. A quality plot requires this ability, and this author seems to have mastered the skill, and the creativity of the plot has been divinely attributed by the author.

She has demonstrated a wide range of talent for creating characters that come to life. The second, minute, and hour that pass by in such a prohibited and rare book is greatly appreciated.

The tone of the book was liberating, something I had not yet encountered in a dark-theme book. This book is highly recommended.

Mansions

By Whitney Bianca

4 Stars

After waiting forever, it seems like… to get my grabby hands on this latest release from Dark Author Whitney Bianca, I am left with the feelings that there needs to be more! Although there was an ending, it seems like there could be more to come. **Fingers Crossed**

Adrienne has always walked on the outside of the box. Raised with money surrounding her, she chose not to be one of the society girls. She chose to run bare footed and get dirty. Her life has been one turmoil after another. Choosing to become a photographer and traveling the world capturing the worst of all moments. But one thing that she can’t forget is…

Dorian Armstrong he first laid eyes on Adrienne when he was 17 and she was 14. Yet never a day went by that he didn’t think of her. Now older and married to someone else, he finally makes his move to capture the one he could never forget.

This book is quite the page turner! Darkness surrounds Dorian and he will stop at nothing to ensure that Adrienne will always be his.

This would have been a 5-star book for me if, although a small amount, there needs to be an editor to correct the spelling mistakes. Also, it would be nice to have headings at each chapter. I would start a new chapter and it would take a couple sentences before I knew who the chapter was about. Just little details like this could make a 4-star book a 5-star book in my opinion.

Please heed the warning attached to this book. It is in place for a reason.

I loved 'Love is Strange' I didn't think Whitney could've topped that but 'Mansions' has just proven to be just as good if not better. The hero or some might see him as the anti-hero, has the charms and destruction of Sebastian from 'Cruel Intentions'. I loved the way it all played out in the book, the real and rawness of the characters are all displayed. The encounters from when they were very young to adulthood had me captivated. Whitney Bianca has a beautiful skill, I just hope there are many more dark reads to come.

Dude! whitney bianca has just become my most fav dark erotic romance writer ever. i mean first 'i know what love is' and now this.✴
I just love how fucked up and ott possessive her heroes are just the way i like them and how her heroines always end up going crazy LOL.

even though i hate cheating and hero with anyone other than the heroine and tbh sometimes i even leave the book just coz they have those scenarios but not MANSION. The story kept me with it and made me enjoyed it to.

so yeah it was a fun but dark read!

This is not romance. This comes into the category of horror and should be read with that kept in mind.

The ending is ambiguous although it implies an HEA.

The H (Dorian) is a psychopath and the h (Adrienne) is not completely likeable either. They are both flawed, maybe more than “normal”.

If you intend to read this, just keep in mind most of the characters have no moral compass. This showed a rich world with husbands cheating on their wives, women sleeping with married men, the H disrespecting a church funeral (of the h’s father) by allowing his then fiancè to touch him.

All this book was about was the gritty disgusting animalistic nature of sex. Nothing else. It showed what men can do if given enough power, especially what sexually depraved men can do.

This book was hard to read and its definitely not for everyone.

Dorian has a mistress, has a wife, and he kidnaps Adrienne. He was a psychopath and overly sexed since the age of 16 when he tried to sexually touch the then 14 years old almost 15 years old innocent Adrienne.

He is sick, depraved, demented, and completely unhinged. He admits that he is.

He cheats on his wife, he cheats on Adrienne, he likes to have power in everything.

He kills off his wife because he doesn’t want to deal with a messy divorce and this happens after his wife asks him to be a good husband and when she wants him to start a family with her. He is so ruthless and he gets away with everything because he made it seem like a car crash. He shouldn’t have gotten away with that. He deserved imprisonment.

Adrienne is a bit better even though she saw nothing wrong with sleeping with married men (which I didn’t like about her). She doesn’t like Dorian from the beginning. She of course, doesn’t want to kill people or brutally hurt people. So she definitely is the victim.

But she is attracted to him sexually. It goes to show that they both deserve eachother because of their depravity.

My thoughts: I didn’t like either of the MC’s, the only likeable character was Jessica (the h’s very young step mother) and she was traumatised by Dorian only because she was looking for Adrienne and actually cared enough to fight for her. Jessica truly loved the h and wanted to find her body.

Dorian thinks he loves Adrienne but he doesn’t, he is just obsessed. His obsession is sick. This book should not have ended with an HEA, Dorian should have been arrested and locked up or he should have been equally brutally physically hurt just like he hurt everyone else. Adrienne didn’t deserve the torture and the mental torture Dorian imposed on her by trying to hurt the only person she loved, Jessica.

Dorian marries Adrienne and gives her prosthetics for her legs. We don’t know much what happens later.

If Dorian was a real man, then I think even the life imprisonment as a penalty would have been too tame for his sins.

I kept reading this book and its definitely horror because it kept reminding me of the real life Australian couple and how the husband’s wife dissapeared. There is a podcast on it, about Chris Dawson and his missing wife. Its really gripping, there is a trial going on now after 20 years or more.

Its all so scary when you think about it, thats why this novel was so compelling and I gave it 3⭐️.

WHAT ON THE EARTH??! UGH!

IT’S SO DISTURBING..

I don’t remember any book which has made me this sick! It kind of made me want to stop reading further but there was something in it that made me read the whole thing. It’s making me think of all vile things that might me out here in this world.
I think i can handle another book of Fifty Shades or Puppy Love, but NOT THIS!!
This is so FUCKED UP!
Adrienne and Dorian are just made for each other. I mean who can handle such shit?? This guy is a self-arrogant selfish bastard, masochist who keeps Adrienne trapped for his needs.

He molested her when she was 14.
When she lost her feet and others claimed her as dead, he finds her and keeps her sedated in his estate. Not even fully healed, he fucks her! And she loves it!! But hates him!! This crap keeps repeating where she keeps fighting for her freedom, tries to escape and then he again punishes her by fucking her!! DAMN! It makes me want to crawl out of my own skin. After all this crap, he kills his wife(OH YES! HE KILLS HIS WIFE!) and then marries Adrienne!! They do get a fairy tale ending though. Thank fuck he doesn’t kill her at the end!

I’m wondering- How did the author not feel sick while writing this?? She’s incredible!!

This book...it’s definitely not going to be for everyone. It’s dark and weird, but that’s my jam. The only way I can describe it is: a mix of Wuthering Heights and Misery. It’s unhappily ever after. And I loved it tbh.

3 ⭐️⭐️⭐️

This book was okay not really good nd not bad either.

Guy was obsessed with heroine since they both were teenagers.. but he married someone else but still couldn’t keep his mind away from the heroine..
Dorian was an cheating and lying asshole ..I hate disloyal man 🥲… he was married but he has a secret mistress and he fucked other womens too..But he also Wanted our heroine..

“I'm going to rip that dress off you,” he says, his voice low but casual. “Then I'm going to fuck you in the most degrading way I can think of.” He glances down the stairs to the street as traffic passes by. “Then I'll do it again and again until we're both satisfied.” He takes a deep slow drag and all I can do is stand there as his words repeat over and over in my brain. “I'm not asking,” he repeats, then exhales his smoke against my cheek. I feel his hand pushing down the back of my gown, exposing the skin below my shoulder blades. I furrow my brow and glance back at him, in confusion. “Shh,” he whispers then a sharp, electric pain shoots down my spine as he presses the butt of the cigarette into my skin. I hear a light sizzling sound as my flesh burns and I gasp in shock and pain. I grit my teeth to keep from screaming. Only my high tolerance for pain keeps me from collapsing to my knees right there. Tears blur my vision, my pussy clenching as the sweet agony throbs through me. “I bet you liked that,” he says, his voice amused as he flicks the butt off into the darkness. “You're insane,” I whisper. But he's right. I did like it.

Both the MCS were crazy and deserved each other ..it was just lust between these two…Adrienne lost her legs in a bomb blast nd guy rescued her nd locked her in a manor…away from his wife and continued to fuck other women’s as well ..how sweet of him ..but he wanted no one touche Adrienne as well

I've fucked lots of women. Shit, I've fucked a couple in the last two days. But no one touches me like Adrienne touches me. I tie them up and tie them down and don't let them touch me. I fuck them efficiently. I get the job done and scratch my itch, until the next time. I don't kiss them like I kiss her. None of them taste like she does. None of them feel like she does.

My marriage with Selene will be preserved and I'll still get to keep my secret dirty life with Adrienne. I'll continue to be a cheating bastard like my father before me and his father before him. I'll live multiple lives and keep secrets like my life depends on it. I'll be selfish and think only of my personal needs and wants. It's the one family tradition I'll uphold.

The thing I love the most is the sexy parts…it was so hot 🥵…otherwise I felt zero chemistry between these two..Guy was toxic as hell …He killed his own wife for the girl 😂😂.. I don’t like him that much..he was an complete ass…

This is a very dark book... and it kept me captivated. It's dark like the underestimated series and the consequences series.

It's not safe. It's crazy.

Adrienne and Dorian are both messed up characters.

The reason I gave it only 3 stars and not more is cause the last chapter to the epilogue felt like WOAH. How can we just go from that to the epilogue?! It's also not a 100% HEA. I wanted to see her and Jessica's relationship develop and I want to know the explanation given to Jessica, I want to see how she ended up saying yes to marrying him. And does she leave him in the end when she learns how to walk?

This is actually grittier than the aforementioned series because it doesn't have an I love you, traditional HEA.

It felt unfinished to me and I'm wondering if there's a second part coming up?

This is a story about OBSESSION.
Not a love story.

You might think it is but it's not.
Not in the least romantic about anything that had happened in the book.

It's darker than I expected, and I DIG it.

From the first few pages, you can already tell from the way the author has woven her words that this is not going to be a beautiful story with candlelit dinner and romantic gesture.

The H and h met when they were young, and from that one meeting, the H was obsessed with her.

And even after meeting again when they were older, he realizes this obsession never strayed in the least.

I don't want to spoil too much, because this was a really good telling about two fucked up souls getting together.

The only thing that I had a problem was the ending, it was unrealistic?
I would have liked it if someone died at the end of the story, either the H or h.
But on well, you can't have it all

It's worthwhile to read.

Wow.. Whoa mind totally blown wide open. This book caught me off guard and I'm so pleased that I took a chance on it. These days finding a good book are rare, oh how appreciable I am just to find a gem amongst the rotten apples.

This book is a phenomenally good one. The author has designed a scenario that will put your heart muscles through many spells. Her strong attention by adding instinctive details to the direction of the story gives a clear vision of the environment in which our characters are. As a reader, I appreciate a visual of different contexts; adding to my enjoyment of telling the story.

The author's prose places your emotions in a state of peace, its words just bring such beauty to your soul that you seem to fall into a state of Shangri-la. Its extraordinary writing lands you amid the peace that nirvana would judge you to feel.

These characters are very unique. Dorian and Adrian are utterly twisted beings. Dorian obsession was transformed into something vile and malefic. Nobody had the slightest chance of dealing with him after he recognized what he wanted.

He will go to the ends of the earth to retrieve his obsessional muse. The man has no soul, his heart is dark, but for oh my, he is so disgusting and crude and I am absolutely enamored of his vile deeds.

Adrienne's obstinacy makes her lose something that is dear to her and she is not the same woman as before. She expiates the sinful actions she has committed and is trapped like a bird in a cage, literally and figuratively.

Mansions will have you on the edge of your seat for extended periods of time; your heart will run, your toes will bend. Your mouth will dangle widely, your nerves will tingle by their intimacy. Your foot will clap like your adoration songs, and yet your mind will blow off its axis. Your emotions will be everywhere, as you will be drained by the changes that these two subjected you to. In between periods whilst reading, you'll lose your natural mind.

Her superbility writing puts you in a whole new environment than the one you are currently residing in. This ability is something that must be done well, and it’s seems that this author have learned the craft, and it has divinely ascribed to the creativity of the plot.

The book was written by someone who is very capable of giving life to her characters. I really appreciate each second, minute and hour of such a prohibited and unique reservation.

It was liberating and something I had yet read in any dark-themed book I've come across. I truly recommend obtaining this book.
