Part 2:
Zane has evoked the “mate’s Lore”. This means that Tanya now has to spend time with both Brant and Zane and every fiver in my body is screaming YES!
Zane was epic! All male, warrior, demanding and kinda sweet.
And Tanya is great too. Love the possessiveness they all have toward each other and the plot is both interesting,and steaming hot!

if at all possible--Zane was hotter!
I have a serious soft spot for vampires. They were my first paranormal love so every new, unique incarnation of them thrills me! I have to say Zane is sexier than Brant, but I like'em bad! I would totally stay with Zane! He's all growly and possessive. I love how the author has created a full world of supes that we have to look forward too! Super excited to get to the next part!

Torn Desires is the second wonderful book in the Chosen By The Vampire Kings series. I love this amazing paranormal romantic goodness that Charlene has gifted us with.
With smoking hot dominant alpha males in all shapes and sizes with Ménage à trois, MFM love triangle, Vampires, Shifters, and Elves. It is erotic, sexy, sizzling, and everything to burn the sheets and everywhere else in between.
This original storyline has two smoking hot vampires Kings, mortal enemies who want the same thing. These men are ruthless, vicious, power players, and violent. They love hard and fast, with their whole heart. They love these incredible sassy, sexy, strong females that own them.
This captivating excellently woven tale sees a tangled web of lies, deceit, suspense, drama and love. The characters each have their own voice in this series. I love that we get their POV because we get a feel for who they are.

This is a hot little series. This time Tayna has to go with Zane the other vampire King. He has called the Mate Lore which is where Tayna will need to choose who she wants as her mate. She gets passed back and forth between the 2 at 24 hour intervals for 10 days, so that she can bond.
Zane is a hardened warrior king who is brutal and cold, except with Tayna and he isn't as bad as Brant made him out to be. He wants Tanya and yet is surprised at his own depth of emotions and feelings he has for her. Possessiveness for one and caring about her feelings for another especially when he's never cared before.
There has been an attempt in Tanya's life though by some elves who want to prevent her from bringing forth an heir. If she doesn't provide an heir for one of the two vampire kings then the vampire race will not exist. I don't get why they can only have her but something about chemistry or something I guess. Interesting story though. Still short and serial and hot too.

Zane is not the horrible killer everyone thinks he is. Behind his arrogant demeanor is a lost, vulnerable boy with feelings he's kept locked away for a long time, and passions that run deep and a cute protective streak. Of course there's more to this supposed wife killer than meets the eye...
Definitely my favorite installment of the four parts that have been released.
Plus, he lives in an actual castle;-)

Great balls of fire! I am so in love with this series! It just gets better and better! Exciting! Action Packed! Smart! Original! Mysterious! Suspenseful! Powerful! Gripping! Riveting! Thrilling! Addictive! Captivating! Arousing! Romantic! Sexy! Steamy! And did I say hot? Oh yeah! This story has it all. Ms. Hartnady has once again demonstrated her exceptional talent by delivering a masterpiece of wonder, thrill and entertainment. Both the story and dialog flow beautifully, twisting and turning with surprise elements at each turn. Such a delight! The characters are well developed and intriguing. They come to life, teasing and enticing your imagination. The story enthralls you with its magic and fantasy. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. Such a wild and wonderful ride! Two handsome, sexy vampire kings-totally different but both desirable-each longing for one woman-check! One beautiful, sassy human heroine, torn between love and loyalty for one man and desire for another-check! Wonderful cast of amazing characters-check! Mystery, suspense, romance and steamy sex-check, check, check and check!!! That and a whole lot more, in spades! Oh yeah! This is the second installment in this series so it is not a stand alone book. Do yourself a solid and read them all. But I just love serials. The anticipation and excitement created by each installment is like having great sex with a blindfold! And then you can't wait to do it again! Hubba! Hubba! Great second in series
At the end of the previous book Tanya was informed that due to the death of Zane's mate he's called Mate's Lore which means that she has to spend an equal amount of time with both Brant and Zane and then she has to pick between them. From the little she's seen and heard about Zane she's terrified but has no choice, it's all a waste of time anyway since Brant is her mate.
Tanya is so important to both Brant and Zane in fact the future of the vampire race rests on her shoulders, well technically it rests on her ability to produce an heir which means if the vampires have enemies then this would be the time to strike.
I really enjoyed this read and I loved Zane and while the outcome is inevitable so I don't have to take sides if I did I'd choose Zane.
Can't wait to start the next book.

I knew I would like Zane more. I read part 1 last night. There is just so much missing from Zane's story. I hope she will get into their past later on. I really want to know about Zane's difficult childhood and why there is a underlying weakness in him. The sex scene was short but I have a feeling there is going to be more. Can't wait for the book about the baby later on. These convenient hussies have got to go though.

Omg!! I abso-fucking-lutely LOVE Zane! He is a gorgeous, ruthless, & hard smartass!! And it was GREAT!! He is not the horrible killer everyone thinks him! He truly has feelings and shows them! I can't wait to read book 3 and see how he acts with Tanya now that she has to go back to Brant!

Did not think this could get any better, I was wrong
I thought Brant was my dream vampire but I was wrong again! Zane is to die for. Cannot believe I got his name wrong in my first review. With mate lore enacted Tanya has to spend equal time with both kings. I should be so lucky. You can see where this is going but getting there is definitely a pleasure.

Installment two is even better than the first! Totally loved the danger and intrigue. of course, the lust and passion were off the scales. The hero in this story was delicious with his air of savagry and mystery. I can't wait to start the third installment.

Cant decide
I can't make my mind up if I like Brant or Zane more. I'll just have to read the next one to decide,I might even get over my dislike of short books for this series. I am loving it that much so many great characters.

This is an incredibly good paranormal romance, with wonderful originality, Vampires, Elves, Shifters, a love triangle, Ménage (MFM), suspense, danger, action, adventure, some angst, and a bit of drama. All added together made this an intriguing, HOT, sexy, erotic, and captivating read.
The characters are all really well developed- with their own individual personalities, quirks, and flaws. The chemistry between them was electrifying! But that’s not all that made this such a great read- because the story is really well woven too, with an intensity I never expected. There was a little humour, and plenty of emotion too- which helped to balance the sexy, dramatic, and suspenseful elements. We get to hear from all three main players, and this made the story even more intense and intriguing.
This isn’t just a sexy love triangle, where two vampires compete for their chosen female- there is so much more going on. This is a war of species, with unusual alliances, hidden agendas, power plays, tenuous truces, ruthlessness, violence, danger, choices, being hunted, hope, reconciliation, unity, heartache, health scares, miracles, and so much more.
