Jessica's found her guy...and we all know Amber has hers - Josh. But her gripes about him doing nothing, and sitting on the couch all day, are very real. Soooooo not hot. Not like it used to be, anyway. She wants to get it back to how it was, but with this amazing career opportunity thrown her way, she's juggling and dropping the balls. In this very steamy romantic comedy, Amber and Josh are on the edge. Sometimes, just sometimes, in order to gain something you have to completely LOSE IT.

Sabrina Lacey was the pen name for author Faleena Hopkins when she was shyly first becoming an author. Since then, all of her works have been repackaged and republished under her own name, save for the I Love My...novels.
I just love these girls!! full review to be posted soon!! O.M.G.!!! when Amber ran into Mark...!!! I don't want to spoil things for anyone so I won't say much but its a good thing that I didn't have SL's phone number because I totally would have called and demanded a spoiler!! as it was I had to speed read to find out what happens!!! such a great HEA for them both! I love when I love the hero as much as I love the heroine in a story! (I'll get my reviews on Goodreads and Amazon ASAP) THANK YOU SL!!
This was my introduction to the series and I probably won't read more. It's a light, fluffy read and there's really nothing wrong with it. I just didn't find it original or thought-provoking enough to yearn for more.
So many books have alternating points of view today, it's become overused and often, I think, to the detriment of the book. This is not the case here. The title and premise is that there are two different sides to the story so the alternating POVs are required and, in the book's favor, the execution is solid. Both characters have their own individual voice.
Unfortunately, for my personal taste, the book started with Amber's POV and I didn't like her much. I thought she was whiny, self-centered, and unrealistically expected her boyfriend to read her mind. But, when we got to Josh, I got more interested. I liked him (which is not always required, but a nice contrast after reading about a character I didn't like) and (better still) he's funny.
I don't know how long the deal will last, but the Kindle version of this book is currently free on Amazon.
Amber's personality is so cute! She is your typical girl. And she doesn't think about what her words sometimes does to the opposite sex. I love how she is career driven and at such a young age. This is how must woman are nowadays! Josh is the ultimate laid back boy. Their love was such a true romance. It is what everyone wishes they could find. Yes, they have their ups and downs but it isn't anything that couldn't be solved. I am so happy with how Amber's story played out.
I loved this story as well. I really liked how Josh was projected. Reading his side of the story makes you like him even more. It just shows the other side of the coin. Considering that there are decent guys out there who respects the commitment. Thank you Ms. Lacey. This was time well spent reading these books (I love My Side of the Story and I love my healed heart). Hmmmmm, is Nico hooking up with Mark? I wonder. I felt so bad for him that he didn't get Jess.......
Miss Sabrina Lacey never disappoints! I absolutely loved reading about Ambers romance with Josh, first from her perspective and then getting his view of their relationship. So happy with the ending and of course it has left me wanting more...as always!!
Enjoyed this light entertaining read, nothing life changing but fun & flirty!! You really have to read the others to get here, and although I've rated them 2's and 3's they're all quick and very easy to read.
This was a great one! I love when the stories go back and forth with either perspectives!! And the ending!!!!! Ooooooh, I won't give it away. Just read it!!!
Finished Reading January 9, 2014 2.5 Stars This is one of those stories I barely remember. So, obviously it didn't make much of an impact. Too much time spent of whining by the FMC. It's VERY Young Adult/New Adult angst unnecessary drama that just a bit of communication could clear up in about 5 minutes. Very MEH and Not for me
With such uninspired and overused titles I’m not surprised she needs to cheat in order to keep them original. Instead of threatening people she should use the time to come up with something new.
Lacey does again with an erotic romance in her I Love My Series. This story revolves around both Amber and Josh. It really went from literally HOT to cold and how relationships are perceived by different parties. Lacey really describes the thoughts on the couple and you feel like you know them. Lacey writes beautifully as you get each side from Amber’s to Josh’s. She writes like she is there as a fly on the wall looking over the couple. There were even times that I was rooting for both of them and then at times I was wanting to yell at them! There are very hot scenes between Amber and Josh that are sure to scorch, so have a fan handy! If you’re looking for a fun, hot romance and interesting read then you’ll love I Love My Side of the Story.
This was a Goldie Locks and the Three Bears moment for me... there are books that are terrible (too cold), books that are super fantastic and leave you giddy (too hot). And then there are those that fit juuust rigght. This book hit all the points for me. Not too much filler, but enough to get me where I need to go with this book journey. The characters were flawed, but likable. It was a quick read, but not overly simple. And it did something a book hasn't done for me for awhile...it made me appriciate my relationship with the Mister. So many romance novels make a relationship seem inadequate, but this book...well, it made me feel just right.
Amber and Josh's relationship is all too familiar. Sabrina Lacey manages to capture how easy it is to let a great relationship slip into the pooper. Small incidents that remain undiscussed for far too long and then suddenly all that was once sexy and romantic and hot is just...gone. I love how simple and realistic the decline of the relationship is written, and how simple--yet emotionally difficult!--the resolution is. If only we were all as strong and willing to be honest and vulnerable with our partners as Amber and Josh!
Amber is a casting director and Josh is an actor waiting to get his break. But so far only gets a couple of national commercials. Then they decide to move in together and that when things go awry. He's easy going and she is a control freak even even to the point of everything having a place to go including items in the refrigerator. Josh is starting to feel claustrophobic and wondering if he made a mistake. How are they going to get back to that loving start they first had.
This was written with her perspective and then with his perspective of the same events. It was rather funny at times. It was a good story of how it takes two to fight and make things work if you are all in to make it work. A love wins story.
This was an easy read and one that I really needed. Told in alt-POV, I loved how the author captured their perspective in ways that felt very genuine to these characters. Really like this series and am looking forward to reading the next installment.
I like the girl and boy side of the story, but really.... if only all relationship problems can be solved like this. It´s unrealistic. They didn´t really talk about any of the core issues that they were having.
Gosh, this book rings so true for couples and love and communication and relationships! This book reminds us that there are always two sides to every story! Great read!!!
This was indeed a steamy novel. It was free and i purchased it. i have never read any other books by her or in the series so take the three stars for what it is.
