Tell that to the people who want her dead.As the nanny of twin two-year-olds who lost their mother, Valena Greer wants to create a happy and safe home for the children. The kids must know they’re loved and protected—the opposite of her own unstable childhood. But when danger comes to her door, the illusion of safety is shattered.A security agent shouldn’t have to convince the lady he’s saving her life. But that’s exactly what Cooper White must do when he tries to rescue Valena and the twins from would-be killers. If he could get Valena to trust him, then he could focus entirely on evading the opposing organizations that want to take the children and eliminate their protectors.

“God doesn’t need good behavior or candle-lighting to please Him or to get Him to do things. He isn’t like a gum machine - put in good behavior and get out what you want.”

This is an absolutely FANTASTIC story about (1) what happens when the bottom falls out of our world and we don’t know who to trust and (2) the importance of turning to God as our first response.

Nanny Valena Greer’s world is turned upside down when she and the twin 2-year-olds she cares for are put in danger, and she must trust a stranger…not an easy thing to do.

My heart was pounding and I was feverishly turning pages. This was my first introduction to Jerusha Agen and she’s quickly become one of my favourite authors. I appreciate how she achieves the perfect balance of romantic suspense and faith elements.

I was gifted this copy and was under no obligation to provide a review.

Nanny Valena Greer wants to give her twin charges the happy childhood that she missed out on, but when her life is endangered because of the secrets their father Lance kept, she finds herself running for her life, with the twins in tow. Their protector is Cooper White, a man who shows up at just the right time, so Valena is naturally suspicious of him. The atmosphere is electrically charged with danger as the two of them spar with each other and fight danger that attacks from two different sources. This is a fast-paced novella with non-stop action and characters that I just loved. I was totally enamored with the darling twins, Savannah and Sammy, and Sammy’s funny phrase whenever he got hungry. I loved the chase scenes and how varied they were in setting and mode of escape. Hold on tight for a real thrill ride in a quick and easy to read novella!

This series is off to an excellent start! If you like action movies with suspense, romance and cute kids, you will love this book!

Explosive new romantic suspense story by Jerusha Agen! "Rescued" starts out with a hair raising escape and the action never lets up! Valena Greer is the nanny of twin two-year-olds, Savannah and Sammy, who lost their mother, and their dad is missing. When danger breaks into their secure home, it's time to use the safe room she never thought they'd need. Cooper White, a security agent, is there to help get them all to safety, only Valena doesn't know him or if she can trust him. From the start, deadly pursuers are after them. Can they trust each other? Can they put their trust in God for the rescue they need? What a great start to a new series! I could not put it down!

Rescued was originally included in the Cold Escape Kindle Unlimited anthology. Rescued is Book One in the thrilling Security League Series. After reading Rescued, I cannot wait for more in the series!! (Each book in the series can be read as a standalone story, or they can be read as series installments.)

Rescued, by Jerusha Agen, intrigued me from the very first page. This story began with a major threat to the twins within a small family. Velena Greer, the Nanny/advocate for the children became fierce and protective. Velena's strong, assertive "Mama Bear" guise became known for Sammy and Selena, just as Cooper White dove into the danger with them. Seeking justice and a protected life for her "babies", she followed Cooper's lead and experience until they had to make a stand in order to make their part of the world a better place. In doing so, could all of their self-doubt and negativity hold out to ensure a truth of peace and love against a mighty foe? I gave this book 5 out of 5 stars because it held me captive until the very end. I couldn't put it down and am so ready for the next book in the series!!!

Valeena Greer is a nannie to two twins when one night everything shatter and turns deadly.
She must run through the host and evade the killers lurking in her house! She hides in a cellar when security agent Cooper White comes to her aid. With bullets blazing, he tries to lead Valeena and the twins to safety and will stop at nothing to keep them alive! This book was such a page turner with kidnapping, gunfights, and killers chasing them across the country! 1 also loved how Valeena's severe lack of trust for people turned into a burning fire of trust for Cooper!

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book which I received from the author. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.

Oh my gosh, what an awesome book. I was just opening the book to get my first line Friday quote for my blog, but Rescued by Jerusha Agen drew me in from that first line and I had to keep reading. What a gripping romantic suspense story. The action is almost non stop, just the way I like it. Danger kept coming after Valena, Cooper and the children, which kept me swiping through the pages. The only thing that made it less suspenseful was being in both the male and female characters' pov, because while Valena wasn't sure if she could trust Cooper, we knew his thoughts. But the danger coming after them was real, even though Valena had no clue why people were after the children in her care.
And faith in God plays a very important part in this book, which I always appreciate.
I just loved this book and highly recommend it.

Another terrific read from the author. Rescued had my attention from the beginning—lots of tension, mystery, and danger. I had a hard time trying to figure out who was telling the truth.

The characters have many layers, and I was mesmerized by their strength and abilities to outsmart the bad guys. The Christian element was seamlessly woven into the storyline. The characters faced one challenge after another. The twins added another element of danger.

The ending wrapped everything nicely, but not without some surprises. A page-turner, but with inspiration. Loved it! Highly recommended.

A thrilling ride from start to finish! From page one the adrenaline starts pumping and it doesn't stop until the last page is done. With unexpected twists and half truths, who can be trusted to help get the answers needed to end the threat?
Valena is the nanny but feels more like the twins mother with the love she carries for them. When the security alarm goes off for what she thinks is a simple robbery, Valena could have never guessed at what would come next. And that starts with the sudden appearance of Cooper. Valena grew up with a career driven, absent father and doesn't need help from a man who seems to be cut from the same cloth. And all the half answers and avoided questions, how can she trust him? Cooper knows the twins' father must be in danger and he will stop at nothing to keep them all safe. But how much information should he share before he scares off the only help he has?
Jerusha Agen delivers amazing stories full of suspense, danger, faith, forgiveness, and romance. With an wonderful ability to mix all these things together into an entertaining story that is impossible to put down, Jerusha Agen is a must read author for me. Don't miss this thrilling story that pulls you in and doesn't let go until past the end of the story. I received a complimentary copy of this book. Rescue by Jerusha Agen is the first book in the Security League series. This story is fast paced and filled with non-stop action, suspense and mystery. The story is so well written and easy to read and imagine. The writing is so clear I felt myself feeling so for the young twins with constantly being taken from their surroundings and running for their lives. I also found myself feeling for Valena as she is forced to take Cooper’s word as he forced her to leave so many areas and situations without explaining to her what was going on. Valena’s thoughts and actions are so realistic. This is such a good story. I quickly fell for the characters and appreciate their faith in God. I found the care and devotion Valena had for the twin to be very heart warming. I just adored the parts of the story with the young children when they were hungry. I like how thoughtful and caring Cooper is towards Valena and the children, when he knew they were in severe danger, he still took care of their basic needs. This is such a good story.

I voluntarily received a complimentary copy of this story; this is my honest review.

I actually read this last year when it was included in a Kindle anthology, but I couldn't remember a lot about it, and agreed to review it.

This is one of those non-stop suspense and drama books. It starts out with Cooper rescuing Valena and the twins she is a nanny for, and they are constantly on the run. I love the back and forth between Valena and Cooper. For the first part of the book, she fights him and is sure he is kidnapping them and refuses to willingly cooperate and refuses to believe anything he says.

I really enjoyed this one. I love it when kids are a part of a story, and Sammy and Savannah were likable kids, and it was awesome how Cooper and Valena were both determined to protect them...even when butting heads.

As with her other books, the author was not shy about weaving a Christian thread throughout the story, and it meshed well with everything else. There were a lot of tense situations, and it was a book I did not want to put down. Looking forward to more in this series.

Special thanks to the author for an advance e-book copy of this novel. I was under no obligation to provide a review and the thoughts contained herein are my own.

I give this 4 1/2 Stars!!

I want to start by saying I received an ARC of this book. This is a Christian romantic suspense book and the first book in the Security League series. The main characters are Cooper and Valena. Cooper works for a security company and Valena is a nanny to Sammy and Savannah. Sammy and Savannah are in danger because of their dad’s, Lance, dangerous job. Cooper shows up and saves Valena and the kids. Will Valena trust him to keep them safe? Will she push him away and put her and the kids in more danger? Will Cooper be able to keep them safe including himself? Will Cooper and Valena open their hearts to each other when they have been hurt in the past? I loved Cooper! He was so sweet and protective and tried to make everyone feel safe even though they were in danger. I loved how he prayed and knew God was with them and would protect them. Valena… I struggled to like her as she was so stubborn and thought the worst of everyone. I do love how she opened her heart back up to God. The kids were so adorable. This book was also full of suspense which I loved. I loved the epilogue too. Overall, I enjoyed this book.

Hang on to your seat! You will be trying to catch your breath as you attempt to keep up with the action. Valena is nanny to the sweetest 2 year old twins, whose mother has passed away and father, Lance, works for the DEA. Now father is missing and the twins have become bargaining chips for the cartel. How on earth is she to keep them safe, when she does not know who to trust? Cooper White says he is from Deacon Securities, the firm Lance had hired to come save them if anything happened to him. But can she trust him to do what is best for the twins?

This romantic suspense will grab you and not let go until the end, as you watch them try to stay away from the kidnappers. The danger never lets up, and Valena still doesn’t know who to trust - Cooper or someone else. The author does a wonderful job of showing them both how important it is to listen and follow what the Lord is leading them to do. An early copy of Security League #1 was received through BookFunnel. These thoughts are my own and were in no way solicited.

If you love a fast-paced romantic suspsense book, then you will love this one! Valena Greer is a nanny taking care of Savannah and Sammy, who are adorable toddler twins. When she is awaken by an alarm that there is a security threat. She thinks it might just be an animal until she sees shadows on the security cameras. She has to think fast to protect the twins, that's when Cooper White shows up to get her and the twins away from the house. What has Valena gotten into, who is Cooper, who is chasing them through different states, and just who should Valena trust and believe in? All them questions will be answered as you read this non-stop action filled book. "A kidnapper wouldn't be quite such a...gentleman, would he?" I am so thankful that I was able to read this story in the Cold Escape Anthology and now it's available by itself. I'm looking forward to reading in the series. Grab your copy, find a comfortable seat and get ready for another great story.

Rescued is the beginning of a new series by Jerusha Agen. It was originally in the Cold Case anthology with some of my favorite authors last year. I, of course, reread it so I could refamiliarize myself with the characters. Really, I just love Jerusha’s books and wanted to reread it.

Nanny Valena Greer gives security agent Cooper White all sorts of trouble and questions every move unable to trust him. Can he get her to believe he’s the good guy in order to protect the twins.

Jerusha gives us lots of intrigue and questions as to who to believe and who is the DEA mole. Is the twins father burned and is he still alive?

I already owned this book and this is my honest review.

Valena Greer is nanny to twins and will protect them with her last breath. Cooper White, security specialist and friend of the twins’ father, rescues Valena and the twins. The battle of wills and wits hits high gear from the start. As Valena and Cooper work together to protect the twins, it becomes a harrowing experience of running, hiding and praying. The faith and hope threads are perfectly woven into the story. This is hard hitting suspense, edge of your seat twists and so much more. The romance is hinted at in the storyline adding another layer of interest to Rescued. I highly recommend this book.

I read this book earlier as part of an anthology. This one was absolutely the best story in that set. Oh my goodness, it was so good! I read it again as a stand-alone this week and it’s holy had my attention once again. It was absolutely gripping but not scary. I love everything this author writes. I just can’t get enough! Her stories stay in my head for days afterwards, a total book hangover! I get so excited when I see she’s releasing another book. Fans will love this one and those who don’t yet know her work, go for it. You won’t be disappointed! It gets two enthusiastic thumbs up from me!

When a story begins "The screaming blare sought her in the darkness", it grabs your attention and this story does not let go until the very end!! Who knew that being a nanny could be so dangerous?! This story follows Valena, a nanny who loves her two sweet charges and Cooper who wants to keep them safe. So many twists, turns and trying to decide who to trust keeps you reading up until the very exciting end. If you like action and suspense, you will want to read this book!! Since it says Book #1, I can't wait to read the next one!!

Rescued held me spellbound. Non-stop action, with lots of twists and turns and some surprises too. The stubborn nanny taking care of her babies, those chasing them to use as leverage, and the rescuer trying to keep them safe. With people all around telling different versions of the truth, it’s hard to tell who is lying and who isn’t, who is really helping and protecting and who is out to get them.

I loved this fast-paced romantic suspense by Jerusha Agen. I could feel my heart pounding as Valena and Cooper go on the run to protect a set of two year old twins. Agen includes a large cast of “who is really the villain” characters that kept me turning page after page. Just when I thought Cooper and Valena were in a safe place there was another breach, another gunshot. Agen also includes a strong faith thread in this story leaving not doubt that this is a Christian suspense story.

You want to honor your best friend request and protect his adorable twins, but their nanny . . . Their nanny is a whole different package altogether! Valena doesn't trust easily, and she is like a Mamma bear about her cubs! Luckily, Cooper takes his promises very seriously, and he would do everything and then some to keep his word.
Would they be able to outrun the cartel? Would they be able to work together and keep the twins safe and alive?
I thoroughly enjoyed this book!
