Rate this book
In a world that has hunted witches to near extinction, one person can turn the tide in their favor.

Gwen has known from a young age that her fate was intertwined with someone who would either save the witches or be the one that leads to their destruction. Fate tasks her with helping the person that can change the course of the world as they know it. When the time finally comes, Gwen is surprised to find that the person she must help is her mate.

Atticus has had a hard life. After being betrayed and tortured for years to try and force his compliance to fight in a war he wanted no part of, he snaps and loses himself to his animal side. To escape the torture, he loses a part of himself, not sure he’ll ever get it back. That is, until he finds his mate.

Will Atticus be able to protect his mate from the things that haunt his past or will his abusers take even more from him than they already have?

The other books in the series are also standalone's but are best read in order for a more enjoyable reading experience. There is a plot that travels all three books and is technically resolved in book three, but it is not necessary to be read to feel like each book has a conclusion. Each book follows a different couple, while still bringing back the faces from the last book(s) until the world's problems are solved.

Witch Claimed - Kaya May

I really enjoyed this series. I love the way this author writes magic systems. It’s always so fun and entertaining. The characters always have great chemistry and Gwen and Atticus are no exception. I love getting to see Gwen’s point of view, especially after reading the second book in the series. I loved the epilogue and just how the series ties together. I can’t wait to see what else this author writes.

This book is another great addition to the series.
It feeds nicely in with book two and we finally get to find out what happens with Gwen.
I like Gwen, as she is quiet, quirky and is not afraid to voice her opinion.
Atticus is a thoughtful character, but he should think more of himself. He is the strong and silent type, with a stubborn streak.
I think this is a poignant story that shows the depravity of the hunters and the betrayal of those who should protect people.
They introduce some great side characters that I wish could have their own story or even a separate series. I don’t want this chapter to finish as so much more could develop in this world.
This book is a great addition to the series!

Out of this series Witch claimed was my favourite!

Loved the story and pacing was good! Packed with so much emotion. Finding out who you truly are, healing from trauma, and fighting for your freedom.

Sometimes the story jumps ahead of things I wished I could've read more about. Some things are explained too much and maybe a bit more editing would have been good on some parts of the story. I don't know if this is just the authors style of writing or if she is still learning but it is getting better 😊.

I really enjoyed this last part of the series and will be waiting more from Kaya May!

Gwen was used to a quiet life of seclusion with her fellow witches . Away from the rest of the world. “Your days are filled with the same routine, it makes you long for freedom”. Freedom that could mean the death of not only her but the entire community. But what if it wasn’t? What if there was a way to save everyone and be free?

“I can provide and protect my mate. Even if I can never turn back into a man…”

I loved this addition to the witch marked series. I enjoyed reading how the relationship between the two main characters grew and blossomed. It was definitely more of a cozy read for me.

Witch Claimed, by Kaya May is book three of The Hunted series. I appreciated the trigger warnings at the beginning of the book. Atticus (a giant green dragon) and Gwen's (a empathic witch) story was action packed, suspenseful, and highly emotional. Atticus endured horrible torture during captivity leaving his body scared from the brutal acts. His grueling captivity left Atticus hyper cautious, ashamed of his scared body, broken in spirit, and unable to have anyone touch him. This is a huge problem because Gwen is his fated mate and mates naturally want/ need to touch and comfort each other.

This was a cute and cozy dragon shifter x witch romance. Atticus is our grumpy mmc and he works through a lot of his trauma throughout the book with the help of sweet Gwen, our fmc. The whole series is an easy read filled with lovable characters, plus it's available on KU.

Read this for:

-romantasy
-witches x shifters (dragon shifter!)
-forced proximity
-grumpy x sunshine
-fated mates
-touch her & die
-one bed
-bondage
-sexy strip joker (not poker)

Witch Claimed delivers a gripping blend of dark fantasy and fated-mate romance. Kaya May creates a tense, emotionally rich world where witches are hunted and love becomes both a refuge and a weapon. Gwen and Atticus are beautifully written, broken, loyal, and powerful together, and their bond adds real heart to the danger and magic surrounding them. With strong themes of healing, loyalty, and survival, this is a compelling standalone that leaves a lasting impression.

I loved this book! Loved Gwen as a character and how she handled Atticus animal side. I love these redemption tropes, a new healing journey. Love that Atticus is a dragon shifter and Gwen’s a witch. It is a exciting, wonderful story with lots of mental issues representations as well as a healing journey. Read this one! 4,5 ⭐️

Shifter goodness

I’ve read this book as a standalone even though it’s the third in a series. It held up pretty well.

The story is filled with magic and healing, with lots of emotional work to be done by the characters. It’s a PNR/fantasy set in a modern world with cars etc.

I’d recommend it for fans of PNR looking for a complete series to enjoy.

I really enjoyed the last of the Hunted series, seeing all ties come together and Gwen finding and keeping her destined dragon.
Atticus is an amazing dragon, but a person that makes you want to pull out your hair at times. But it is beautiful to see him heal.
