The Wanted Short Stories, by Kelly Elliott

It was great catching up with these couples. I was glad to see this book and find out what was going on.

I will say that Gunner and Elle was a shock. I kind of got pissed off at Gunner. I still think we need a better explanation on what happened to him, but glad it all worked out in the end.

Must read!

Great set of stories by Kelly. Ellie and Gunner's story shocked me the most. How could Gunner be such an idiot to Ellie and just forget about her like that. He was my favorite all the way through the series and it made me look again. Thankfully he did redeem himself at the end. Phew!
Ari and Jeff are great together. Ari is my favorite she reminds me of Rizzo from Grease she's a little spitfire. When her dad tells her that he does actually like Jeff, but just likes to make him uncomfortable makes me belly laugh. That man is great!!
Finally Heather and Josh, it took them so long to get together and from that you can really see the love and the devotion that they both share. Josh is the loving husband that would do anything for his wife and 2 beautiful kids and Heather is the one who is there to make sure everything ticks over smoothly. I'm so pleased that Josh has finally put Mindy in her place what a cow. and Heather gets to talk to her parents. beautiful ending Kelly thank you for the love!!!

This was nice little dip back into the lives of Gunner & Ellie, Jeff & Ari and Josh & Heather as they learn to cope with the demands of raising children, working and trying to find time for each other.

There are three stories centering around each couple at a time as they spend child free time away together, remembering the reasons why they fell in love and just loving each other.

It was fun to have this in between series book. Timeline wise it falls between the Wanted series and the Love Wanted in Texas series.

I really love these characters and have so much emotion invested in them, so when plot holes or timeline oddities come up it bugs me more than if I did not care for the series. That being said:

Gunner and Ellie: I enjoyed this story and to see a strain on the marriage and them fall in a rut and how they got themselves out of it.

Jeff and Ari: This story falls in line right after Gunner and Ellie's story. Interesting to see Ari make a mistake in this one and then her fix it, usually it is Jeff who is the idiot. Layton from the Broken series is mentioned in this story, so that was interesting. Plot hole: I was surprised that Jeff's dad is still alive, given how his health was in the last books of the Wanted series I did not expect him to be alive 7ish years later.

Josh and Heather: While I did enjoy this story and Josh and Heather are my fave, the timeline on this one threw me off b/c the first two stories follow each other in time and happen just weeks after and the kids are 6-8 y/o, while this one the twins are 3 y/o, so this story happens a few years before the previous two stories. So that was a little strange to switch in my head. The other weird plot line was almost like she had to come up with some random drama to throw in there and the only thing she could think of was to bring Mindy back. It was kinda a wtf moment for me as a reader and trying to readjust the time line to fit into the Wanted series, since Josh actually talks to Mindy and tells her to never talk to him again. So why, if this is after the Wanted series is Mindy even there and WHY would Josh even think about opening that door? It was really just a strange moment. But is was fun to see them deal with the twins as toddlers, the cock blocking and building their house. What I really wanted to see was the scene (or any scene) where Josh gets a bit more Dominate in the bed room. I would have liked to see that play out. In the main books, it is just mentioned about before and after the fact and in this one they get interrupted (sad face). It was sweet how Heather's parents are mentioned.

Nice to catch up with old friends

This collection of short stories is an excellent look at how Ellie, Gunner, Ari, Jeff, Heather and Josh are all doing shortly into the future. I've loved reading each story in this series, and I've enjoyed watching the characters grow. I hope we get to see more of the gang in the future!

These short stories involve the three main couples, Gunner and Ellie, Jeff and Ari, and Josh and Heather. I think my favorite of the three stories was Gunner and Ellie's. It was so realistic and easy to relate too. While we all love Gunner he isnt perfect and Kelly shows us a true to life glimpse into their lives. Jeff and Ari are the same, gosh they are really the cutest couple. They went through the most and in this glimpse they really enjoyed each other without a lot of drama. Josh oh my gosh I just love Josh!! Heather is one lucky literary girl, lol. They are a special relationship and I think there relationship in this glimpse just made their love even seem that intense. The Wanted Series is one of my most loved series I have ever read and when an author gives you a glimpse into the future that is just a special thing. I know this is just a story but they all feel real and that is why I had to read these. Now go on, click-it!

The short stories about the three main couples were nice but could have been better. The first set was about Ellie and Gunner. It was romantic but Ellie had every right to leave after Gunner blew off her concerns. She didn't do anything wrong. Gunner did. Jeff and Ari were the second story and their storyline was OK. Nothing big really happened with them. Josh and Heather were the last story. They had always been my favorite so I was disappointed that their story was so short and the ending kind of cheesy. When Mindy showed up at the b&b, I don't blame her for her reaction. I couldn't believe what Josh did. After that the plot just seemed to lose steam

I loved having a little insight of all 3 couples(gunner and Ellie, Jeff and aria, and heather and josh). It gave us an insight of how their lives are after they have kids. It's a short read but I absolutely enjoyed it. I loved this series so much. The characters .... I just fell in love with all of them. They all have great personalities and so much love for each other. I think it's amazing how fast I fell in love with the characters. I must admit the author is pretty great. So yah I enjoyed this short read of each couple and how life gets tough with kids. They had their mini fights but in the end they all have amazing marriages and love each other deeply.

I wasn't super impressed with this book. It didn't add anything to the other books fo the couples. I really enjoyed the original books in this series. This just seemed like a stretch and the whole book was about the couples going at it like rabbits.

Some people enjoy books like that. I am not one that is sold on sex scenes. I like the underlying plot of a book. This book doesn't seem to have one. Disappointed. It won't stop me as of now from reading any other books from Kelly Elliot - as I really loved other titles from her.

It was nice to see a glimpse into Gunner and Ellie, Ari and Jeff and Heather and Josh's lives several years after their stories ended. They were cute as all of the couples were struggling to find "us" time with their children. Josh and Heather had the hardest time of all with their set of twins. It was well done and a nice addition to this series. If you enjoyed the other books in this series, you will definitely enjoy this one.

Reunion

Oooh this book and the short stories were incredible. It wrote back the memories that the author(Kelly Elliott) created back in the beginning. I think we all hate to finish a book and it is the end. She as well gave us all the gang and updated. The five star rating is deserving of the way she writes. It is sexy!! A great read. I have recommended it to new friends that are now fans. Once again emotional read. Thank you! Mary H.

Just loved this series re-read the entire series over the last few days. Really enjoy how all the books interacted bringing all the characters together interacting all there lives with a group of friends that grow over the years and manager to stay close and support each other during the good and the bad. How it made an extended family out of all the books as each group worked through there insecurities, and grew into the person they wanted to become.

I'm a huge fan of Kelly Elliott and I loved Wanted, Saved and Faithful so I was glad she wrote more about the characters in these short stories. Reading this made me see why I loved these books in the first place.

Anyone who loved the Wanted series will enjoy these short stories. Each story was short but different and these were definitely worth 5 stars each!

Loved this book and loved getting to get back together with the original group and get a glimpse of what they are up to today. I write in this review like they are real people. But that's how I feel after reading about each and everyone of them and what they have gone through. Loved this little catch up.

Watching them Grow

I loved getting the updates on the couples lives. I hope that we get a few more short stories. All the couples seem to have their hands with children and their everyday lives. I like how Kelly Elliott lets her characters have real life problems.

im pretty sure ive given every kelly elliott book ive read 5 stars. I just cant do that for this. its just filled with petty jealously and childish behaviour and lots and lots of sex. Not even realistic sex. I guess ive come to expect more from a book since I first read wanted.

These are wonderful short stories with our favorite couples. The stress of raising a family and working can take a toll on a marriage. These stories show how they cope with daily struggles and make it through them stronger.
