This has been sitting on my Kindle for some time, so I thought I'd read this prequel to see if it's worth diving into the series. It was entertaining enough - the set up is for the young college student to meet the sexy bazillionaire CEO (with an anaconda sized penis, cuz don't they all have those) and change his life-long "love em and leave em" ways. It sounds like the same story that's been told a million times - not sure if I'll venture into the series.
Wording felt weird for some reason. Story(!?) felt rushed, unconnected, fast and shallow. Characters were portrayed even shallower. I havent read the series yet, but i want to give it a shot. It intrigued me because it was recommended by another author i love. I do hope that writing gets better cause at this stage, it barely held my interest. It was plain, not overly catchy, it lacked a certain pomp that instantly draws you deeper in and makes you curious about what will happen next. Story of a billionaire and grad student is so cliched after crossfire and fifty shades that its berely interesting. And after those two series a prequel to a story like that should be written with a little more bang.
Before You Seduce Me: A Prequel to Seduce Me by E.J.. Adams. 4 Stars
This prequel to Seduce Me brings into play the characters Ashley, Phil, Chelsea and Brandon. Three college students and a billionaire C.E.O. Phil and Ashley are a couple in the beginning but catches him cheating on her. Chelsea is Ashley's friend and roommate. Brandon is the HOT C.E.O. that will be at a fundraiser and Ashley will be there also. Note the cliffhanger will tell you more.
Sounds like this is going to be a very interesting book to come.
I came across this free on Amazon and the cover pulled me in. I know that it is only the prequel to the Seduce Me Series. I like this little tidbit is what can easily pull you in. It is a little introduction of what is come. Give a little insight to some of the main character. I guess it gives us Brandon Mitchell and Ashley Sullivan. All because Ashley wants to work at his fashion magazine. It was a short read. I can't wait to read more of the series. This just was not long enough. I don't want to give anything away.
This shouldn't even have been published. The sentence structure, punctuation, grammar, and typos are something a preschooler might accomplish. Character development is all cliche, and at the middle of the book, the author copies and pastes the character's descriptions and backgrounds again as if the reader might forget who the characters are and where they come from. As a reader, I was first bored and then insulted. If this short story is typical of this author, I don't want any more. I'm giving it 2 stars only because there is potential for a plot here and I love the cover.
This series is advertised as good as 50 Shades and The Crossfire series. No it's not thus far and I can't tell by this prequel. I'm not sure the rest is worth reading.
This was a nice little preview before getting into the actual books. I am now going to have to purchase the rest of the series so I can see what happens next
Though I could feel the Fifty Shades' storyline hovering over every page, at least this story has variations with twists and turns that kept me reading, so I enjoyed the beginning of Brandon and Ashley's story. Now I'm intrigued to learn if Brandon recognises Ashley for the wholesome girl she is and if her best friend tames the ex boyfriend. I could feel their muted chemistry and could definitely see this story headed in that direction. But I understand most readers want the typical read and abhor plot twists of that magnitude. I enjoy the stretching of the imagination though. On to the sequel.
Can't wait to read more but reminds me big time of 50 shades handsome young sex crazed CEO pretty girl in college meeting at an event involving the college and his company the only difference is she is not a virgin but has barely any experience so unless book 2 is different the 50 shades of grey I'm gonna have to pass if I'm gonna read 50 shades I'm not going to read a copy cat when I own the original! So please please please b different!!!!
Interesting enough... I guess. I mean, I finished it but it was so short that wasn't hard. This basically provides the background of the two main characters in the "seduce me" series. It wasn't necessarily enough for me to want to start the series but at the same time I'm not repulsed. It just is what it is ... A prequel.
If you like a lot of repetitious sex scenes without much story telling and intrigue then this is the book for you. Just not my cup of tea. It was short and it was finally starting to build up an intriguing story and then it suddenly ended. I won't be finding out what happens next.
I wish this prequel would've been out before "Seduce Me" part 1. This prequel gives some of the background on the main characters, Ashley and Brandon, in "Seduce Me." And, includes the reasoning behind the actions taken in the next installment.
As you can see I thought it was great, and a recommended read if you love E J Adams work and her explicit detailing of what these Alpha Men do to these women who i think secretly want then like that even before he
5 stars. I absolutely loved reading Before You Seduce Me. Thank you for giving it away free, I definitely will be buying the complete series to read. This is a must have, download today it's free.
This 9 chapter, approximately 45 page book was just the start to the series but I don't think it's one that I want to go further with. Just didn't catch my attention.
