Carey Baldwin, author of the thrilling novel Confession, returns with a new story featuring two of her most beloved characters. Fans of Tess Gerritsen and Lisa Gardner will devour this riveting story of rivals caught in a killer's twisted web.
When a coed falls prey to a sadistic murderer, forensic psychiatrist Dr. Caitlin "Caity" Cassidy and Special Agent Atticus Spenser are called in to testify—one for the defense, one for the prosecution. With warring approaches to justice, these two rivals have been butting heads for years—both inside the courtroom and out. And at first, this case appears to be no different.
But when a brutal attack leaves the accused man dead and Caity in critical condition, petty differences take a backseat to saving lives. As the lone survivor, Caity knows too much, and the killer—a madman calling himself the Man in the Maze—is coming back for round two. Now Caity and Spense must join forces to uncover the killer's identity before Caity's time—and luck—runs out.
Creating stories and then sharing them with you so that you can shine your own light on them, reading through a lens shaped by your own perceptions, is such a joy. I hope you enjoy the books!

I can either do a clinical review or write down what I feel at this very moment. Oh, let me do both and get it over with.
Let's start with the emotional reaction. It scared the DNA out of my family tree. It had me jumping out of my own skin into another personality type. It had all the juices in my body curdling in my ear drums. It made my petrous bone shudder and shake. I almost did not make it, honest to God.
If you know Dr.Kay Scarpetta in Patricia Cornwell's psychological thrillers, and you loved it, this is the book for you! Be my guest. Enjoy!
As I explained my reaction to the Scarpetta series, to a friend on Goodreads, I almost did not make it that time either. The difference between now and then is, that I read those books during the night, never slept a wink, locked all the doors, locked hubsters out, taped the windows closed, insisted on the guard dogs sleeping on my bed, check the cats'nails, instructed them to attack anyone trying to open my bedroom door, and curled up in terror until all three books were finished.
When I started this book last night I was too tired to continue reading, so I sneaked it into my office day this morning after starting with it around five already! Thank goodness I did not continue last night.
I am not trying to be funny, but if you want to laugh do so and then read the book yourself! Then it will be my turn to holler and howl and I won't feel bad at all for doing just that! I am still shaking.
But nevermind, let's get to the clinical part now.
Dr. Caity Cassidy's father, Thomas, was convicted and executed for the brutal rape and murder of Gail Falconer, fifteen years ago. Caity attended his execution and pledged to herself that she will get behind the truth. She thought he was innocent. Obviously, the Superior Court in Phoenix, Arizona did not think so. The only man to support her at the event was her father's lawyer, Harvey Baumgartner (Tree gardener in English). He handled her father's case pro bono. They were friends from church - her father's best friend in the end. She was eighteen years old at the time. The event inspired her to climb into the mind of killers, which resulted in her PHD. She became a forensic psychiatrist profiling these mad people. She wanted to prove that her father did not have the psychological make-up to do it. She employed private investigators with no success.
Harvey Baumgarten requested her services for one of his clients, Judd Kramer, in a case against the latter. While consulting in court, a killer walked in and shot everyone. “There were four victims. Kramer and his deputy escort-- shot just outside the courthouse, with Baumgartner and Dr. Caitey Cassidy --shot inside. Judd Kramer survived. She barely survived herself. Only because her four year long rival, FBI Special Agent Atticus Spenser (named after Atticus Finch, the hero in To Kill a Mockingbird), saved her life. They’d been on opposite sides of a contentious case more than once. And there was also that personal incident a few years back . . . but fortunately no one knew about that little gem of a disaster except Spense and her.
They had no other choice but to work together on this case. Caitey's ordeal was not over, as they soon found out. The killer did not target her by accident. There was to be a second round and she needed protection. Spencer offered it. She had to move in with him.
He baffled her. One thing she noticed was that he always had a miniature Rubik’s cube, attached to a keychain, in his pocket. He often pulled it out, scrambled it, solved it, and shoved it back in his pants pocket, all in less than a minute. He also knew how to prepare kung pao tofu with edamame, dowsed in a spicy peanut sauce. This man was not only soft on the retinas, he was also multi-talented. Behind his Old Spice must be a story too.
But that just for interest's sake. What really happened after the shootings rocked their world. As in totally.
Judd Kramer died in hospital, along with the pharmacist. More young women ended up dead. Caitey was now confronted with first the death of Gail Falconer, and now Sally Cartwright, Darlene Dillinger and Annie Bayberry.
Fast moving, thrilling, captivating, entertaining, scary, brilliant! A tale marked by all the elements of a psychological thriller par excellence.
The only rattling bone in my scull is the acronyms and abbreviations that was spread all over the text. I gave up in trying to find them all on the internet. "DETECTIVE RILEY BASKIN paced the precinct lunchroom with a PB and J gripped in his hand" Oy! I thought it was a high caliber murder weapon and was diving for cover, until I peaked through my fingers and realized he was eating it. I could only wish him luck until this moment, because I still don't know what it is!
So yes, let me admit it. I LOVED THIS BOOK !!!
This book is a Witness Impulse, HarperCollins Publication, provided through edelweiss.abovethetreeline.com. for review. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity.
Judgment by Carey Baldwin is a 2014 Witness Impulse publication. I was provided a copy of this book for review purposes by the publisher and Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.
Jeepers! This book is the definition of psychological thriller. From the first page to the last I was riveted. I was completely immersed in this world, in Spence and Caitlin's investigation and their romance too. A tense, edge of your seat, vivid world of suspense with incredibly well drawn characters. It's dark place that Caitlin will enter along with her new partner, Spence. Caitlin is no stranger to dark places, but this time the darkness cold swallow her whole.
The setup: Caitlin watched her father's execution for a crime she was positive he did not commit. Now she is a forensic psychiatrist working non-stop to prevent innocent people from going to prison. After an analysis of a dark , creepy suspect, Caitlin visits his attorney, the same attorney that defended her father unsuccessfully, at the courthouse to explain she will not be able to testify on his behalf. Before she can get things cleared away, shots are fired. Caitlin is wounded and an old friend, Atticus Spencer saves her life. They soon learn a deadly game is being played and it's possible the case could somehow tie in with Caitlin's father and his case.
The FBI and detectives have a specific way of working a case that doesn't jibe with Caitlin and her work, which is designed to prevent people from giving false confessions or railroaded by the overzealous investigators. This puts her in direct conflict with Spence. Spence is a character that grew on me as I got deeper into the story. His “handicap” has him constantly fighting an inner war and sometimes he loses the battle by forgetting to turn on his filter. Caitlin is his soft spot, but he still speaks his mind, and occasionally leaves her out of the loop which leads to trust issues. The author did a wonder job of creating these two characters, each with their own flaws and demons to fight. I took sides, got frustrated with both of them at times, but cheered them on every step of the way. The characters grow and develop within a story that scares us half to death with one of the most creepy cases I have read about in awhile. This story has a very dark tone and atmosphere in many ways. Wrongfully convicted people, scarred survivors, a possible vigilante, a possible serial killer, a host of horrific crimes and a few hardnosed cops on the side all mesh together and kept me guessing and turning pages at the speed of light and sound. The other thing that impressed me was how emotional I became. I actually felt a lump in my throat on a few occasions thinking about how Caitlin was robbed of so many precious moments in her life and now she has a tough time with emotions and relationships, plus is still plagued by lurid dreams. I also had a little book crush on Spencer. So, hopefully he will be able to convince Caitlin there really is a such a thing as true love.... but, before they can think about that it looks as though another explosive case has their name on it. I was really invested in these people so I am eagerly awaiting a second novel featuring these characters. Do you like “keep you up at night” psychological thrillers? Check. Like Romantic suspense? Check. Like Mysteries? Check. This book was just my style and if you like one or all of these genres, you do not want to miss this one. Highly recommended!!
Welcome into a perfect family! Would you like a cup of coffee or do you prefer tea?
What was really scary in this book is that the story is what you read often in newspapers…
I liked very much the way the story was told: at the same time it was fast and slow paced! It is very easy to read and to follow and I, as a Criminal Mind fan, loved hoe we are made to follow the reasoning to find a killer! How the profile was made and how they followed crumbs to the killer.
Obviously it is not a heavy procedural, but it is not a romance either. It is obvious that there’s something going on between Caity and Spense, but, apart of one single kiss, nothing more happens. And it was OK for me!
The beginning was excellent: a young girl witnessing her father’s execution! WOW! Talk about strong! I had shivers along my spine!
Then we jump 10 years and that same girl is an accomplished professional. And she works as a forensic psychologist and she’s studying the depraved minds of killers.
Spense, as we discover during the story, was a child with suspected ADD and suffered greatly because of his inability to learn even to read and write. He overcome brilliantly his handicap and because a highly valued FBI profiler.
They’re working together to discover who killed an attorney and tried to kill Caity during a shooting in the courthouse.
And during this investigation (that’s not running around interrogating suspects!) they discover some deeply troubling serial killers’ club!
I so much liked both characters and their quirks that I got my little greedy hand on the other books in the series! :)["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
Judgment is my first book I have read by Carey Baldwin. Judgement introduces two new crime fighters in FBI Special Agent Atticus Spenser, and Dr Caitlin Cassidy Forensic Psychiatrist who teamed up after Caitlin was involved in a shooting incident at the Phoenix Court House. Readers of Judgment will enjoy the twist and turns in the story and the conclusion to this book.
I like the way Carey Baldwin portrays her characters especially Atticus Spencer who has ADD. However, this did not stop him from been an excellent profiler for the FBI. Also, I enjoyed the way, Carey Baldwin intertwines her characters.
Readers of Judgment will learn about the role that profiling has in law enforcement. Also, the readers will follow Caitlin as she learns to be an FBI Profiler from Spense.
I can guess who was the villain immediately 😜 But still the why and the how were enjoyable reading. I love the adorable hero and rather naive but intelligent heroine too.
I really like this book and will continue to the next one soon! Thanks Mei who made want to read this fabulous book:)
I won't say much about the story though, it will ruin the mystery for you and I'm not that mean!:)
Once again I'm in the minority here when I say that I really did not like this novel. For a novel that's considered to be a suspenseful thriller, it's anything but. What it is? It's long-winded and boring. While it was easy to follow all the mysteries that were interwoven together, it seemed like the author created all these mini-stories to make the overall tone of the novel seem intriguing, to keep the reader guessing as to who the real mastermind is. I guess that's why she included an array of secondary characters into the mix, some of whom were a complete waste of time, only there to fill the pages. All of it felt forced, not genuine. If the author was trying to shock her readers with who the killer really was, she failed as, like I mentioned earlier, it was easy to figure out early on. Then we have the protagonists, Spence and Caity, two characters that weren't well-developed. I didn't mind Spence so much, but Caity? I couldn't stand her. So over-dramatic, arrogant, and just plain dumb. For a forensic psychiatrist who is supposedly the best in her field - learning the motives of killers, and acting as a private consultant to many defendants who've been falsely accused - she's an idiot. And sorry but having her tag along with Agent Spence, making her part of the FBI investigative team, none of it rang true. It didn't come across as realistic. And when the FBI and the police let her interrogate a suspect first, believe it when I say my head was hurting from all the eye-rolls that would just not stop. And then to have her stay with Spence in his apartment for her protection? Give me a break. If the author was trying to create some intense romantic feelings between the two, she failed. They came across more as brother and sister. There was absolutely no heat, fire, or passion between the two. Nothing. Zip. Zero. Not even a small blip on the radar. If you're looking for hot sex, you won't find any here. You'll have to settle for a couple of smooches that were quite the bore. I've come across plenty of novels where the H/h have no passion and/or lack any sexual heat, but none like "Judgment", which takes first prize in that category. In the end, I wish I could get back the time and money I wasted on this drivel. I'm quite sure I won't be continuing with this series. Since I'm in the minority here, I'll leave it up to you whether you should read it or not.
This is one of those books that I liked but wanted to like a lot more. Parts of the story are good and other parts missed the mark. At least, it did for me. It's almost written like a YA version of an adult crime thriller. The narrator of the audiobook I listened to did a decent job with the characters and story.
The book starts out with Caity as a child sitting in an observation room witnessing her father being executed for a brutal murder of a young woman. Her father's lawyer is sitting with her. Caity can no way believe her father committed this crime. Her father is innocent. This is a defining moment in Caity's life.
Fast forward years later, Caity is now Dr. Caitlin Cassidy, Forensic Psychiatrist. Her patients are criminals. Over the last few years she has made an acquaintance with Spenser. Spenser is a special agent for the FBI. There is mutual attraction for one another but for "professional reasons" they have had to shy away from one another. Until now. They agree to use there mutual talents to solve a series of brutal sexually motivated murders. After attempts on Caity's life, Spenser is also tasked to protect her. Did I mention Caity is a beautiful woman and Spenser is a hunky man that women like? Of course, each have their "backgrounds." Spenser thinks Caity is a special woman. He particularly likes her eyes... His gaze found hers and hung on. Her eyes reminded him of the water that pooled at the base of Havasu Falls. They were the same dramatic blue. He’d only been to Havasupai, the little Shangri-La at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, once, but he’d never forgotten that otherworldly hue. Caity’s eyes took him back there—to a place that made him feel refreshed and connected to the universe.
The murder mystery is a pretty good one on the whole. Where it goes awry for me is how the characters go about to solve it. The characters are the story's biggest weakness especially the law enforcement. It's kind of like an adult version of the Hardy Boys going about solving the case. All the while Spenser is fawning over Caity who is "off limits" not only because they are partners but also because she is insecure in the relationship department. The chemistry there is tepid even though the author attempts to develop a compelling love story.
Caity's character walks the line of being the intelligent strong willed heroine and being the vulnerable woman. I actually bought into the idea by the end of the book.
The dialog amongst the characters is where I had a hard time. The exchanges don't have the fluidity that I have come to enjoy in some of the stories I have read recently. Instead there are numerous "raised eyebrows."
There are so many aspects I liked about this story that I'll probably check into the next installment. Maybe I got off on the wrong foot with this initial read.
Two highly intelligent characters that fight for justice on opposite sides of the courtroom kickoff this new series.
We've briefly met forensic psychiatrist Dr. Caitlin Cassidy and FBI Special Agent Atticus Spenser in a previous book and butting heads best describes how they are when they have to be in the same room. But when Spenser finds Caitlin lying in a pool of her own blood after a shooting at the courthouse we see that maybe there is more to those sparks that fly between them.
The suspense/murder part of the plot spans over a 15 year period and its as full of twist and turns as the labyrinths and mazes that the killer uses in his sick game of wanting to be a God.
Spense manages to convince Caity that they should work together to bring down the killer. These two are defiantly not your typical characters. They are very intelligent and dont think the way most people do. Those traits were what had them at odds in the beginning but you can see that it also makes them perfect as partners work wise and hopefully romantically in future books.

This book was an entirely enjoyable read. I love the growth of the characters throughout the book. The mystery was good but my favorite part was how Spence explained the steps of the investigation to Caitlin, teaching her how the process works and how to trust in him. There were parts where the writing seemed a little stiff but all in all I enjoyed the book and am hoping for another chance to read about Spence and Caitlin! Thank you for Carey Baldwin!
Fast paced suspenseful story, and some romance too. Caitlin wanted to prove that her father was innocent, wrongfully put to death in Arizona. Came face to face with sadistic person, read it and find out who wins this game!
I picked up this book for free on Amazon because it sounded interesting but soon found other books that took me away from this book. Monday I came across the book again and thought why not.
What kept me from reading this fast moving psychological thriller I have no idea.
From beinging to you the reader is pulled in so many different direction each one darker than the next until the reader and Dr. Cassidy are discovering the truth together.
Judgement is a captivating story that has everything a reader could want and more in a psychological thriller.
Carey Baldwin paints a very Bones type of relationship between Dr. Catlin Cassidy and FBI agent Atticus Spenser. There is sexual attraction but the readers are kept waiting as they work together to find a killer. I loved that Agent Spenser was ADD and had difficultly keeping his mind from wondering. Carey Baldwin make the Special Agent very human and not the typical Alpha Male.
Catlin is struggling as she discovers the truth about her father and her past.
The book can get a little wordy but it makes up for the suspenseful scenes and the very end of the book.
In a nutshell this book is entertaining psychological thriller and I can't wait for more.
I still have no idea what a forensic psychiatrist is.
This was a very enjoyable read with complex characters and a suspenseful plot. Spense was particularly appealing because while completely dedicated to his job, determined and thorough, he is close to his mother and has a soft spot for Caity. There is nothing more he'd like than to become involved with her but he doesn't push, realizing she has a lot on her plate at the moment. That doesn't, however, keep him from protecting her when her life is in danger. Caity was more difficult to read as she was struggling with her father being put to death for a crime he didn't commit. When it appears the real killer is still out there, she has to place her trust in Spense to help her. A good series, plenty of suspense as they track a vicious killer, and a budding romance, what more could you want?
For a book with 336 pages it seemed like a thousand. A decent beginning, an overly wordy and boring middle and eye rolling ending Criminal psychiatrist/Caity and FBI agent Spence are supposed to be the romance in this romantic suspense. It's mentioned they had a one night stand years before. So where was the chemistry this time around? Nowhere I tell you, and there's absolutely no romance here.
Caity who's supposed to be in her mid-late 20's (?) seemed naive and childlike at times. It was confusing. I couldn't find fault with Spence, but he wasn't a standout. The story was awkward, choppy and rambling with a few decent moments of suspense. The long awaited suspenseful ending started to ramp up but some of the characters go off the rails into comic book land. Think I'll pass on book 2.
After a slow start of about five pages things explode and never stop! You will never guess the killer and admire both Cassidy and Spenser. I’m so glad I found this series.
read it as a palette cleanser but the plot wasn’t bad but the romance writing was cringe and it was written more like a YA novel which it definitely is not due to the content of brutal murders🫨
I loved Carey Baldwin's first thriller novel Confession so I couldn't wait to dive into her new one! She definitely has a knack for putting together the type of thriller that makes you cringe. The murder scenes in this story are violent and disturbing and probably not for anyone who may be sensitive to this type of content. The scenes kind of reminded me a little of the type of murders you would see in the show True Detective with Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson?? Just to give you an idea... I loved the angsty relationship between Caity and Atticus... I found their back and forth banter very amusing. Always seeming to be on opposite sides in the past, they now find themselves needing to work together to hopefully find the identity of a serial killer. This is an even more urgent situation for Caity since she is clearly a target having barely survived an attack. Caity was given one clue to the identity of the killer... find the man in the maze. Based on this clue, she and Atticus go on the hunt and uncover the surprising truths behind the murders. And it is a much more complicated and disturbing case than they thought it would be. Is there love in the air for these two?? Maybe... I think they learned to like each other a little more than when they started. Looks like their potential blooming love story will be continued in future books... :) Out of these two books I've read by Carey Baldwin, I do think Confession is still my favorite... but either book would be a good choice for the Psychological Thriller fan. Judgment is definitely well written, has a well laid out plot and very likeable main characters. The criminals definitely fit the bill for a thriller novel... disturbing, repulsive and crazy! So, proceed with caution...
TLDR: Knowledge vs Intuition MCs, rivals to lovers romance with a Criminal Minds plot. Fast emotional burn.
Dr. Caitlin Cassidy and Special Agent Atticus Spencer are two justice-driven individuals who have a fundamental disagreement on how justice is obtained. For Special Agent Atticus Spencer, the end justifies the means. For forensic psychiatrist Dr. Caitlin Cassidy, whose father was put to death when she was a teenager—for a crime she believes him to be innocent of—the means are the point. After Cassidy almost dies—in what the FBI believes to be a targeted shooting—she reluctantly teams up with Spencer. Together they are tasked in uncovering the shooter, who is also connected to a string of recent violent murders. If they want any chance at catching an escalating killer they will first have to learn trust each other.
The mystery itself was well done and I was definitely surprised by the whodoneit. The final showdown was also wholly original. I am not sure how I feel about Cassidy x Spencer. We are told they are both attracted to each other but I did not find myself compelled by their chemistry. I also think they moved into a relationship way too fast for people with fundamentally different world views but maybe we will see this play out in the next books.
My one criticism is the inclusion of young bullied teen Dizzy. Her plotline felt extraneous as it did not advance the story at all. It centered more violence against underage females for shock value.
TW: graphic descriptions of violated and murdered women and underage SA.
I tried. Really did. Took it up, put it down, and took it up again and nearly gave up.
Apart from the very excellent beginning, I thought 'Judgement' devolved into a crime mystery bogged down by red herrings, narrative-merry-go-rounds and wooden chemistry that was mostly put to a halt by a heroine whose single-minded determination became odious stubbornness and hypocrisy somewhere along the way - an irony considering her profession as a profiler. Romance plays a very small hand in the story in fact; the pining comes mostly from the hero, who typically backs away in fear of aggravating the heroine's overly sensitive disposition. It was with much grimacing and rolling of eyes that I finally made it to last page, but the twist wasn't unexpected by that point, capped off by an end that was nearly as flat as the middle.
I received a copy of Judgment from the author in exchange for an honest review. Honestly? I loved this book! The author kept me guessing. There were a lot of twists and turns to this story, and I love when that happens. This was a great murder mystery/thriller with intelligent dialog and plot, likable lead characters, fast-paced action, and on-the-edge-of-my-seat suspense. Spense and Caity need to work together to catch a murderer who nearly takes Caity's life in the process. In the past, they have had opposing opinions regarding the justice system. Caity is a forensic psychiatrist and Spenser is an FBI profiler. I won't reveal any more of the plot, but I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good thriller.
Caity Cassidy's father had been convicted of and executed for a murder she knew in her heart he didn't commit. After an attempt on her own life years later, she (now a psychiatrist), joins forces with FBI Special Agent Spenser (Spense) to try to find out the perpetrator behind her murder attempt and several others that succeeded. In the meantime, her feelings about her father's innocence propel her into trying to clear her father's name.
Both Caity and Spense are likeable characters and together they make a great team. This is a page turner...not at all boring. I'd recommend highly.
I received an e-copy of this book from Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.
I was pulled in from the Prologue alone. But I could not put this book down. I love the Criminal Minds, and this book could be one of those stories, no lie. It had everything to keep you on the edge of your seat. I normally read books with more romance, but I have to say this story had so much going on with several law agencies working together that I didn't miss a big romance. This was gritty, and a little scary, but I recommend it highly. I will most certainly read more from Carey. I read this in less than 24 hours. Unbelievable read.
I REALLY DIDN’T CARE FOR THE WRITING STYLE, THE STORY LINE WAS WORD PACKED WITH UNNECESSARY OVER DESCRIPTIVE WORDS AND DETAIL. THIS MADE THE STORY DRAG, SORT OF CONFUSING AT TIMES THE CHARACTERS WERE ODD AND FLAT. I TRIED TO LIKE THE H/h BUT COULDN’T THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO HAVE A BUDDING ROMANCE BUT I DID NOT FEEL ANY CHEMISTRY. THE POLICE AND FBI WERE SORT OF DUMB IT TOOK THEM TOO LONG TO DISCOVER THE OBVIOUS. I THINK THE BOOK MIGHT HAVE BEEN BETTER IF THE LENGTH HAD BEEN SHORTER. TOO TALKY! ;(
I loved this book! It has just the right amount of suspense and romance. I loved the two characters Caitlin and Spenser and I will definitely read this series just to see their relationship blossom. On the suspense side, the story is fast paced, dark, riveting and difficult to put down. I can't wait for more in the series.
The author very kindly provided me with a copy in exchange for an honest review.
About average for a romantic-suspense novel, but the suspense part was much larger than the romance.
The serial killer was a surprise but not of the ‘Where did that come from?’ variety. Clues were planted fairly but with enough subtlety for the reader to make some wrong assumptions.
Romantic-suspense novels are not at the top of my to-read list but this one was good enough that I’ll read more if they come my way.
Either Carey Baldwin is brilliant or has done an awfully lot of research to write this (I suspect both). An interesting chemistry is found between the two main characters (Caity and Spense), and I want to see more of them! The story features some evil people, but which is the most evil (the mastermind)? You just might be surprised!
An outstanding example of thriller mixed with romance with a strong heroine and a hero to die for! Baldwin manages to handle multiple threads of narrative wit ease and leads the reader on a pulse-pounding adventure from the first page to the last. I can't wait for Caity and Spense's next adventure. Proud to call Carey my friend.
Here we have a victim, still recovering, teaming up with an able police officer to hunt down "The Man in the Maze," and bring his gang to justice. Caity--what is with these weird names--would like to find out who framed her father years ago. Spense is an excellent partner. More victims show up. A little too pat.
Absolutely loved this book in Carey's new series about forsenics and serial killers. Not stop action and the story gripped me and held on until the end.
Will continue reading this series and recommend it highly!!
