Daniel is an Alpha and a Dom. For the last year he’s been trying to convince Dawn that they’re mates. He sees the way she holds herself back. Not once during their time together has she trusted him enough to give herself to him. It’s time to take over and show her who the real Dom is.
Dawn craves pain and no one can handle her need. When Daniel discovers her secret there’s no backing out. She can’t feel pain and it’s up to her Dom to protect her.
Her condition makes her vulnerable to predators. Daniel will not let anything happen to his mate and will do everything in his power to protect her, even from the person who wants to hurt her most.
Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound. She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.
"The Alpha's Domination" is the story of Dawn and Daniel. An unexpectedly tender story about a she wolf who can't feel pain and goes to extreme lengths to experience it, her alpha mate who finally decides to take reigns of the relationship, loads of S&M scenes and secrets revealed. I liked how caring Daniel was with Dawn, and how much time he dedicated in understanding her past and traumas. Enjoyed this one! Safe/SWME 3/5
Ay la verdad no soy muy fan de los dom JAJAJA no es mi estilo de libro o de lo que me gusta leer y sinceramente me lo iba a pasar pero pues estuvo entretenido jajaja
Daniel and Dawn are mate but you wouldn’t know it by the way Dawn keeps him at bay. Daniel has been more then patient with her. He has waited a year to claim her. He is going to find out what it that is keeping her afar. Dawn is afraid to trust herself. Her inability to feel any sort of pain scares her. It makes her different and she knows that Daniel will be put off. But when Daniel uses his inner Dom to get to the bottom of it all, the wall starts falling. You have to feel for Dawn. Being treated the way she has from pack and especially her mother. I didn’t even realize there was a thing about feeling of no pain (congenital analgesia). I love that Daniel didn’t give up on her and brought out her emotions. She was able to feel the passion he had for her. At times heartbreaking when you find out more about Dawn. Thank goodness for her Dom.
It held my attention only to see the ending but it was all hype with no punch. It was boring and dragged out for no reason that I could see. The BDSM crap annoys me to no end. It’s a useless plot device this author likes to write about. I don’t find any of it a turn on or interesting.
This author writes such sweet books when she wants to and then she writes this garbage. I hate that I have to go through every book just to find the gems that I like. I’m left with a whole lot of books that are a waste of my money, time, and storage space in my kindles memory, just to find the sweet passionate ones that make her a worthy author in my eyes. Smh.
These characters were underdeveloped and the sob story wasn’t that sobby (lol). Anyway, enjoy it if you can. I won’t be back to this one.
Since I like shifters and Sam Crescent this book was a must for me but while I liked parts of it as a whole it didn't fully work, something was missing and for such a short book I felt it also dragged at times. Dawn's case was an interesting one but again it never fully held me, I also would have liked more on Daniel, his past and his pack. This is not a bad book it's just not quite as good as some of Sam's previous ones.
Loved it! Hot shifter story. Love this author's writing style. What's a sexy alpha shifter and Dom do after waiting patiently for his mate for over a year? Daniel makes his mate who has secrets and trust issues an offer she can't refuse. Loved Daniel and Dawn's interaction and passion. Would recommend.
This wasn’t the right Book for me I and only finished because it was so short.
I like reading about bdsm but this one disturbed me. It wasn’t about feeling pleasure but about an abused woman seeking the sensation of physical pain to eventually emotionally feel herself. This could have made an interesting conflict between Dawn who is in need of professional help for not feeling pain (leaving aside the huge topic of abuse) and Daniel who likes to inflict it. I would love to know if she was still into the idea of pain after she started to feel it.
Daniel is the male main character who is alpha in his wolf pack and co-owns a bdsm-club. He is a controlling narcissist who wasn’t presented very likable. For me the thing of Dom and Sub went too far. He wanted to control Dawns whole life. Feeding her with his hands, telling her when to call her parents, blackmailing her into coming to his home when she clearly didn’t want to... Also I didn’t like the fact that he bullied the doctor he called to his home and then rudely dismissed. Why? Because he had honestly said that he had never heard about her condition in a werewolf. His explanation was „wrong wiring“ during her first transformation. Her suggested and eventually successful cure was blood drawing sex. Hmmm. Side note: do wolves bite their necks when mating?
There is an interesting personality issue with Dawn: the natural born submissive woman (it was very difficult to read about that BTW) somehow has a naturally strong alpha wolf inside her. Talk about internal struggles. A pity that the writer missed to voice this internal conflict more elaborately.

So I read a lot of BDSM and Shifter stories. What I liked most about this was was the focus was on Dawn and her ability not to feel physical pain. Something had happened to her growing up to cause her to block her sensation of pain. Daniel recognizing that she is his mate didn't realize that she could not feel pain until he watched her drink a cup of scalding coffee that would burn the skin off another. What gave me the I DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING Moment was not who tramitized Dawn but why.
Daniel is a dominant. It is at Kinkster's where he meets Dawn. It has been a year since he met her and she is his mate. Dawn is a submissive and even though her wolf can sense Daniel as her mate she doesn't trust him. She has a secret she is hiding and she doesn't want anybody to find out what it is. For a year Daniel does everything he can think of to make her trust him as a mate. Will she ever trust him? Will they get their HEA?
I liked the premise of this book! I liked how the Alpha did not relent when he knew something was wrong. I loved how constant love can overwrite a lifetime of pain and hurt. I also liked how the father was so loving and willing to believe his daughter. Sometime love does conquer evil, not always but sometimes. Good book!
I loved the plot of this book. She comes up with so many different types of stories that it's Amazing! This story has an unusual problem with one of the characters but it always comes out Love.
Not a bad story, I couldn't get into it cause it's just not my jam, but it was a nice story. Another one perfect for in-between chores and kids!! There is need for some tissues!! Hope you enjoy it!!
Addicted to this series by Sam Crescent. Who doesn't love a good spicy shifter romance with character struggles and epic chemistry, changing feelings, super hot steamy scenes and drama? Like anything, you just have to collect them all!
Daniel was trying for a year to break down Dawn's walls. Dawn was hiding a secret she was ashamed of. I enjoyed watching Daniel break down the walls and get Dawn to open up. This is a good series!
