The following review is my opinion and not a paid review.

Small town sheriff, Matt is on his way home one night when he is ran off the road by two guys, Roach and Duncan in a truck. Matt knows who it is and where they are headed so he out smarts them by going a different way and gets there before they do and is standing there waiting on them when they arrive. Matt finds that the guys had left a girl, Leslie alone at the tracks. Matt thinks that the three of them are up to no good.

But Matt is surprised to find that they are at the tracks to kill the monster that lives there before he kills them. Matt doesn't seem to know who they are talking about. Matt undoubtedly has never heard the stories about the monster that they had growing up.

When Matt is attacked by the monster he learns real quick that the monster is real and the stories that Roach, Duncan and Leslie heard from their parents as children were true. Will Matt, Roach, Duncan and Leslie kill the monster? Or will the monster kill them? Who will make it out alive? How will they get away from the monster?

This was pretty good book for a short story. It was fast paced and I finished it in one night. Without giving anything away, this story is about a creature that lurks around the railroad tracks and a sheriff with the help of three teens that have to put a stop to it. Nothing spooky here, just a fun read.
