Small Town. Big Secrets. A Touch of Magic. Slightly Sarcastic Ghosts. (A Low Stakes Cozy Fantasy Series)
Harbor View Cozy Fantasy Series
Welcome to Harbor View, where the gossip travels fast, the ghosts linger longer, and no secret stays hidden forever...
When Skye Randall returns to her quirky New England hometown after her mother’s sudden death, she brings along her fifteen-year-old daughter, two weeks’ worth of plans, and absolutely no intention of staying. She’s here to settle the estate, sell off the antiques, and get back to California to rescue her crumbling marriage. Easy, right?
Not a chance.
Harbor View has other ideas. The cozy seaside village comes with nosy neighbors, salty sea air that smells faintly of magic, and two opinionated ghosts haunting the bookstore and antique shop facing First Street. Skye’s kept their existence a secret from her daughter, but when strange happenings suggest Clare’s death wasn’t just a tragic accident, she realizes she’s going to need all the help she can get—even if some of it comes from the other side.
As Skye and Ocean navigate loss, family secrets, and a whole lot of supernatural shenanigans, they’ll discover that some legacies are worth fighting for. And in Harbor View, the past doesn’t just knock politely—it barges right in.
In a town where secrets linger and its spirits refuse to stay quiet, two weeks might change everything!
Heartfelt, funny, and filled with seaside magic, First Street is the first book in the Harbor View Cozy Fantasy series...where family ties, ghostly help, and a touch of mischief make all the difference.

What a unique and clever story. I love everything by this husband-and-wife team. I was so invested in this story that I realized when I finally looked down to see where I was, I was sad. Why? Because I was at 82% and didn't want it to end.
Great main and secondary characters that jumped off the page. I felt every emotion they were experiencing! To say these characters were written with depth is an understatement.
What a great start to a new series. Not everything is tidy up nicely with a bow because the characters' lives will play out in other stories. There's suspense, possible murder to solve, marriage breaking up, ghosts that I am invested in their stories, and so much more. I usually am not a fan of ghost stories, but this was so different.
HEA, great whodunit, clean story, and pacing was perfect. I can't improve on the blurb, just giving you extra tidbits to decide whether to purchase. I do recommend this story and anything written by this team.
I received ARC and all opinions are my own and freely given. (ljb)
I'm not much of a fan of cozy reads. Although they are meant to be low stakes, I never feel fully immersed or invested in them. This was the best cozy read I've read yet! There's the mystery of Claire's death which felt high stakes enough without overwhelming the second story - Ocean's journey in this new tour and the supernatural she deals with. It was an easy, fun book and I loved it.
This was exactly what I needed! Cozy, low stakes but you fall in love with the characters. The ONLY bad thing is how long I have to wait for the next one! But I really appreciated that there wasn’t a huge cliffhanger. It’s just a world I want to go back to.
What a great book. All the characters were written well and the story was full of twists that kept me engaged. For the first time in a while I did not want to put the book down. Sad I need to wait until October, 2026 for the next one.
This was mildly entertaining. A few red herrings padded by cozy fluff. A relatively easy resolution in the end. Romance issues not fully resolved in the end, but enough for now.
