I LOVE this series!

Such a great series- twists and turns, cool magic systems that the MC is researching and learning about. I love his progression, how it isn’t perfect and it takes time, but he’s always moving forward.

The overall plot is great as well- nuanced and not boring ‘fight the great evil’ that isn’t explained at all like you see sometimes- love the politics and warfare mixed in.

Cant wait for the next one!

Great book

My only issue is it was really getting good and then... it was over. Gaaaaaaaaaah have to wait for the next book? Why would the author do that? Its not like he writes for money? Oh wait thats exactly what he does... dam it

Very good book

This is a fine fantasy adventure novel. It is well written and edited. I especially like Zory. I anxiously await the sequel.

I enjoyed the first two books, but found myself skipping chunks of this one. Then came the stupid Epilogue, which killed my interest in the series.

Good, but I nearly skipped parts of the book because there did not seem to be any progression in powers. Luckily near the end it came.
The epilogue is weird.

Moving around helped the series to keep things fresh. New characters with new abilities, new locations. Enough carrots dangling over the horizon to keep reading.
