Great Read

Excellent description and explanation of the Divine Liturgy of Saint John Chrysostom with helpful tips on how to more fully participate in the Liturgy as a lay member of the congregation. Published in the early 1970s, it could use some updates to the text of the Liturgy. But it is still an excellent aid for those planning to attend the Liturgy in any age.

One of my favorite books for Orthodox Christians. This book talks about how we can actively participate in Orthodox worship on Sunday and then live that liturgical celebration in all phases of our life. This book points out the need to dispose of a compartmentalized life and live a life where our beliefs are fully integrated into all that we do.

Decent book if you don’t know a lot about liturgy, if you are already actively participating it offers little additional insight.
