SPOILERS for this disappointing book

This book picks up after the first. Sidney finds out she is a witch, and is trying discover what exactly this means. Meanwhile, Red is trying to figure out what is going on with the club, and why the Prez betrayed them. And now Demon is thrown in the mix with helping to track.

I bad MAJOR problems with this book. I'm sure it would be horrible to find out something you never knew about yourself, or your family; but Sidney is being stupid about being a witch. Saying she had never given someone a poison apple, so she couldn't be a witch. I suppose she's being sarcastic, but it Is getting on my nerves. 30% in and there has yet to be interaction with Sidney and Red until now, and even now it's just sex. And afterwards, Red is a total prick after Sidney tells him she's a witch. It's 67% before there is more interaction, and he's a complete jerk again. I dislike Red very much right now. All he has done is complain about his life, which was a situation of his own making. And his later actions..I don't want Sidney and Red to be together anymore. But I hate that the author made us like him (for the most part) in the first book, and then threw us for a loop when she made him a jerk, and brought Demon into the picture. And this attraction to Demon...why is this necessary? Demon is a douche too. Sidney claims to love Red, but has no problem jumping Demon's bones a few days later, after insisting she is still with Red. At this point, there is no romance whatsoever. And too many other sections with different POVs. The first book was good with just werewolves, but now the book is getting on my nerves with the introduction of ghosts and witches, and fae.

This book needed editing. The wrong words were used: recognizance instead of reconnaissance, currants instead of currents. And the town Jessica was living in is Hixson, not Hixon. I know because I'm from there.

There are so many unanswered questions, like Sidney's witch origins, what happened between Demon and Red to cause contempt, what magic cause Red's fathers illness. But now I am angry I didnt get a full book, and this thing is going on further. I was halfway going to read the next book until RED SCREWED JESSICA!! So now, I don't think I want to see what is going to happen. I'm just so mad that there was no romance, and Red seems like a totally different person than in the first book. I was very disappointed with this book.

Ummmm

I loved the first book. this one, not so much. I loved Red's character in the first book. so loving, considerate and caring. I hate him now after reading this book. I don't know if the author wAnts her to end up with Demon, but I don't like him as well. reading this one felt like I was tearing out my heart and I wasn't sure I was going to make it through.

The story line was fine. I just didn't like her the author took me. No offense to her writing abilities. I struggled between giving the book two or three stars. if I could give a half star my rating would be a 2.5

I loved this book and couldn't believe the twist that this book took. Love the dynamic between the main characters and the new characters that are introduced in this book. Will these two make it or will prejudiced win out, that is the question that I had to ask my self over and over again. I love the aspects of this book that make you question what is real and what is not and why things are happening to these characters.

I'm really enjoying reading these books by Monica Rossi they cover both MC and Paranormal and since I enjoy both genres they are ideal books for me. I bought the book with the combined novellas in, don't think I will buy the individual novellas as they would annoy me. I will be patient and wait until the next full book comes out.

The only negative for these books is she needs to sort out the editing. There are silly errors throughout the books.
