You'd think that Harry Simmons - now the proud father of twins - would be ready to give up dangerous assignments and settle down to just being an insurance investigator. But no: first he barely escapes being killed in an explosion on a mysterious floating bordello in Seattle's harbor - where he's found the very dead body of the mayor's wife; next, he's knocked unconscious by a flying piece of Chihuly artwork; then he's shot at by an unknown assailant near the Burke-Gillman trail, probably the same miscreant who nearly offs him in the QFC supermarket parking lot, also hitting an attractive young Coast Guard ensign who has seduced Harry.
Somebody obviously objects to Harry's nosiness. Likely the man who has raped and murdered eleven Jewish women for their blood. Or maybe it's the guy who's hired four Sicilians to assassinate a group of Russian mobsters innocently drinking coffee in the Crossroads Mall.
You can be sure that Harry, Arnie and Jessica will sort it out eventually.
