Heart of the Wolf #7,10,11,14

Highland Werewolf Boxed Set

Rate this book
The Highland Werewolf Boxed Set contains the first four books in Terry Spear's Highland Werewolf series.

In Heart of the Highland Wolf a modern werewolf laird and a beautiful red female werewolf enter into an intrigue involving the laird's secretive clan, an ancient relic, and a romance novel. Has this wiley female met her perfect hero?

In A Howl for a Highlander the driven Duncan MacNeill has left his highland home to chase a thief into a tropical paradise. When he meets lone wolf and botanist Shelley Campbell on Grand Cayman Island, he'll discover just how tempting paradise can be.

Scottish Cearnach MacNeill and sexy little American werewolf Elaine Hawthorn collide, quite literally, on a foggy Highland road in A Highland Werewolf Wedding. Now they're stuck with each other while they wait for help to arrive, and it's going to be a delightful, steamy and devilishly funny wait.

She's never been to Scotland, but when werewolf Colleen Playfair learns she must spend a year and a day in the highlands learning to manage her new estate, she's up for the challenge. But she did count on the stubborn Grant MacQuarrie whose clan has been managing the castle for the last three centuries and will do anything it takes, including taking Colleen to bed, to convince her that nothing needs to change in A Hero of a Highland Wolf.

Love, love, love romance, the paranormal, hunky Highlanders with their delicious brogue and hot kilts, so Terry Spear writes about those hunky Highlanders both in medieval times and as wolves in contemporary times. Jaguar shifters too! And young adult urban fantasy. And romantic suspense.

She grew up reading mystery, adventure, mythologies from around the world, ghost stories, the paranormal, fell in love with Dracula and Wolfman, and felt they needed loving too. Everyone should have someone to love. Which means her stories always have a HEA.

USA Today Bestseller residing in Central Texas from Sacramento, California who creates award-winning teddy bears too!

Great, Wonderful, Fun

The first three books are about the oldest(pack Alpha) and the two youngest of quadruple brothers and the fourth about a friend, alpha of a different pack near them. All four of these high handed highlanders run up against American alpha female wolves. Each realize they need their wolf in their lives forever but since they have voiced not needing or wanting mates they must each convince their mates that they do want and need them. So four great stories that have crossover friends and family.

Sometimes dry and a little slow...

Enjoyed the series, and reading each book in sequence is the best way. Hunky Scottish wolf shifters in kilts, falling in luat and love with fiesty, American girls who can shift too. And we even have a ghost. Very enjoyable.

Box set

I loved the three stories of the MacNeills clan and the American wolves they mated. And of course all the troubles these women caused the men. The last story about Colleen Playfield from America, had to spend a year and a day at Farraige Castle in order to inherit the castle. Grant MacQuarrie and his brothers and pack have looked over the castle for centeries and proud of the fact. Their story is also so good. I would highly recommend this to everyone who has not read it yet. I had stayed up many a night because I wanted to know what was happening next.

I loved the whole series and having them all together is great! These books are all around one Scottish family of wolf shifters and their friends. You do not have to read all the rest of the Heart of the Wolf books to enjoy this boxed set. However, I will warn you that chances are you will WANT to read the rest of them after you read these. There is action, a lot of character development, a fast pace, upbeat tone and some steamy scenes. Enjoy!

Good writing, engaging story ideas, but very predictable. Each follows the exact same plot. And the word "hot" is way overused.
