Broken. Shattered. Lost.

The past clings to me like a dark shadow, whispering reminders of everything I’ve lost, everything I’ve destroyed. The guilt is suffocating, a painful weight I can’t escape. I carry it like a scar carved into my soul, and some days, I wonder if happiness was ever meant for me.

If I even deserve to want it.

I have pushed everyone away, including my best friend, Linc.

My anchor.

He refuses to let me drown in darkness. He makes me feel again. He gives me hope. And that scares me more than the pain ever did.

Because hope is dangerous.

Hope can break what little is left of me.

But maybe… just maybe… it can save me, too.

Unfaithful? I say Yes. Even if it's just a kiss.
Emotional cheating? YES!!
Hero kisses the heroine on her wedding day and she lets him, she has been in love with the hero since they were kids but she also loves her husband.
Heroine gets jealous of hero's girlfriend.
Husband gets jealous and I say it's with reason.
I felt sorry for the damn husband he was the only good one there even with all of his problems.

Safety gang girls I would probably say this one it's not for you.
Unless you don't have a problem with it then go for it.

I think the laziest plot is when the author makes one of the parts of the loving triangle a bad person and then kills him. I can't see a better way to make easier for h and H to get together. The convenient tragedy is so unimaginative. I, for myself, would feel zero compassion for the h. Witch woman would wait for your husband to leave to get food to you while you're still in the hospital after giving birthday to your daughter, and call the other man to come to the hospital to meet your baby? What kind of behavior is that?

Sylvie isn’t a book you just read and move on afterwards. It is a book that will leave you thinking long after the end. The story of Sylvie, Linc, Caroline, and Dean is not an easy or light-hearted one, but each character will touch your heart in a way that will stay with you for a long time.
“But love saved me. Love mended the pieces of my soul and brought me back to life. Love gave me hope.”
Sylvie. Beautiful, broken yet strong, Sylvie. She has been dealt a hand of cards that seems unfair to such a young person, but she is a person who just keeps going no matter what. After all, that is what amazing mothers do. They keep going despite their hardships. Sylvie loved a man who to some could be difficult to love and that to me says the most about her as a person.

“No need to thank me for something I was born to do.”
Linc is everything you want in a book boyfriend. Hard-working, a musician, and a deep love for a girl that knows no bounds and has no time limit on waiting to have her in his arms. He has always been there for Sylvie and Caroline no matter the tumultuous relationship he and Dean had.

Dean broke my heart. He is not an easy guy to love for most of the book, but he is an important part of Sylvie and Caroline. He needed love more than anyone besides Sylvie in the present. If someone listens to one part of my review, I BEG you to not make a final judgement on him until the very end.

This book had me crying more than I would like to admit. The wounds of everyone are deep and are written so well you will feel their pain to your bones. This book is for anyone who has loved someone difficult to love and for anyone who has loved someone from far away a long time before getting their chance.

Second chance at love with a big triangular twist. It's sad - it's angst-filled - but a terrific story nonetheless. There are definitely some eye-opening and hard-to-come-to-terms-with moments. Some may be real warning signs to readers. I pretty much roll with the punches when reading and was not affected. The characters were well-drawn, the plot one that kept me captivated and eager to reach a conclusion. A book I will likely read again.

When I saw this ARC I was so so happy yet terrified. I knew it would be different but I really didn't know how excellent it would be.

I think it's my 3rd book by K.Langston and this woman is definitely an automatic one click Author. She writes so beautifully. With this book she has proved she touch people's Souls so profoundly.

This book Gosh will it damage you. It will have you sobbing. You will want to slap Dean and shake him. Ask him how can he be so selfish. What type of a man does this to his family. God knew I could see he was lost but Fuck me I still hated him and the situation he put Sylvie and Caroline in. When you have the world in your palms and you refuse to see how you are destroying it until it was to damn late, that is it own damn fault. This book Proves an Age Old Truth. You can't help Someone when they don't yet know they need it.

Sylvie....My heart shattered for her. I wanted to hold her and be her friend. I wanted to say you tried. I was so proud of her and how she faced her responsibility head on. She was willing to fight for Dean, for his well being and even when she knew it was lost and she had to put herself and Caroline first she still wanted to see him through his dark times...

This woman's strength and courage awed me. She was so Brilliant and it was a shame she blamed and hurt herself for something she had no control of.
To say Dean was a selfish Bastard feels so good. But how do we Judge when we know nothing about a person's demons. His demons were so powerful that it almost took Sylvie as well. They day he fought and didn't do what his mind was forcing him to do, I wanted to Hug him. Gosh the Pain, the Struggle the hurt fuckity it cut deep. You feel all their emotions. What one person's actions can do to so many lives.

Linc was an Angel in disguise. Yes he was Slyvie's best friend. Yes she loved him so much but even a blind person knows that the Best Love Stories start with Amazing friendships. Dean definitely saw this and I don't understand why he stood in the way of it. Why he never set Sylvie free without Hurt and Guilt. That was not love. Love always wants you to be happy not trapped. You love someone you set them free if they don't feel the same.

Linc the Polar opposite of Dean. This man's patience and love has the brightest light ever seen. His hope was unwavering. His knowing and understanding towards Sylvie was astounding. His love was Pure Magic. Love that was from the Depths of his soul and you feel it all. He knew. He understood that what you love set it free and if it's meant for you it will find its way back. He knew Sylvie was his and eventually would be by his side. That unwavering faith can shake a person.

God really put Linc on this earth for Sylvie. He was what she needed every single moment in this book.

This story teaches you about healing and letting Go of things you don't have the ability to change...Yet it is so Breathtakingly Beautiful. The words written by this Author will have you hooked from the Prologue.

Grab this book ladies and be prepared to not want to put this book down till you read the Epilogue.

"There are moments that mark our lives. Moments when we realize nothing will ever be the same and time is divided into two parts. Before and after."

My little heart is so full right now, after finishing this wonderful book. I turned page after page and fell straight through the rabbit hole. I am so in love with Sylvie and Linc that I never wanted their journey to end. K. Langston took me on such a beautiful and heartbreaking journey...

Sylvie and Linc became instant friends in 5th grade, after he was assigned the seat next to her. Over the years they formed an unbreakable bond; making plans for their future and always being there for one another. But over time, Sylvie's feelings change toward Linc and turn into something more... love. Terrified of rejection and destroying their friendship, Sylvie is scared to tell Linc how she feels. So she never does, keeping her feelings tightly locked away.

Whilst at a party one night she meets Dean Winters, and little does she know that loving him will inevitably change her life... she just doesn't know how much. Their relationship is intense and a little temperamental over the years due to her friendship with Linc. He is still a part of her life and Sylvie carries around a lot of guilt. Loving two men isn't always easy.

"I might be his cure but he is my disease. He thinks I can save him, but he is killing me."

My heart broke for Dean, he truly wasn't a bad guy. You could tell he loved Sylvie with all his heart. He just didn't want to hurt her anymore.

Linc has always been there for Sylvie, quietly watching and loving her from afar. No matter how much she pushes him away and hurts him, Linc still loves Sylvie something fierce. And after a heartbreaking tragedy changes Sylvie's life, she needs him now more than ever... leaving her broken, lost, and falling into a downward spiral of guilt.

This was such an amazing story about second chances, learning to live again, and eventually learning to forgive yourself. Linc and Sylvie had an all-consuming epic kind of love that you can only dream about. The sexy times were hot and steamy and Linc was damn right swoon-worthy.

K. Langston has written such a beautiful and heartbreaking story that held me captive until the very end. Sylvie is hands down, one of my favourite reads of 2017.

"From this day forward, you will never walk alone. There may be dark roads but my heart will be your shelter and my arms will be your home".

“Friends forever.” There’s no truer statement than this to describe Sylvie and Linc. Through thick and thin, darkness and light, these two have a bond that will steal your breath and melt your heart.

How do you even begin to describe this story without giving anything away? You simply don’t. It’s a story that needs to be read going in blind. You must experience all the emotions yourself and get lost in the words and the feelings the story evokes. Your heart will melt for Caroline, it will bleed for Sylvie, it will break for Dean, and it will overflow with love for Linc.

K. Langston takes us on an intense emotional journey filled with heartbreak, passion, and love. The writing is deep and written genuinely. She touches on a couple very sensitive subjects and does so delicately, sensitively, and with care. The writing flows effortlessly, sweeping you up in all kinds of emotions. I did feel that it’s so incredibly heartfelt and deep that the erotic element wasn’t necessarily needed at times for the sincerity of their love. You could feel how intense their bond is through every moment. The writing is just that strong.

The characters are real, the feelings real and raw. A story infused with so many emotions; it’s heartfelt and filled with hope, despair, longing, healing, strength, forgiveness, and love.

A memorable, heartwarming story that grabs hold of your heart from the start and will stay with you long after you’ve finished.

“Life can be full of sorrow and grief but there can also be sunshine after the storm. There can be joy and happiness and light. But in order to fully appreciate that light, we have to walk through the darkness. We have to hold hands with pain and dance out in the rain. It’s the only way our heart can comprehend what love truly is.”

Reading Sylvie I could feel it. I could feel all the emotions that K. Langston poured into it while writing. It bled off the pages and into me—heightening my reading experience by a thousand. NEVER have I read a book where you could feel the emotions of every character without getting their point of view. I knew what each of these characters was thinking and feeling throughout—it was written that well. There was that much heart poured into this story. It was beautifully written.

Sylvie's story wasn't always an easy one, it wasn't always a pretty one, but it was a beautiful story all the same. The strength this woman had, her ability to love and do it fiercely, and her determination were all inspiring. Her story proves that sometimes love isn't enough, but sometimes it can be all you need. The love of a friend, the love of family, the love of your life—they are all important. They all help shape your life—sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse.

Sylvie, Dean, and Linc's story is filled with beauty and pain. Love and loss. Bounty and tragedy. It will leave your heart full and your fingers itching to take you back to the beginning and start their story all over again.

K Langston has delivered a truly beautiful story of love, loss & forgiveness. This whole journey follows the tragedy of a lives broken beyond repair, of a friendship that stands the test of time & of a women who somehow manages to claw her way out of the darkness & learn to survive in a world where guilt consumes her damaged soul & threatens to drown her with every breath she takes.

Linc. - Once upon a time a young boy met a young girl when he moved to a new town. He pledged his friendship to the girl who stole his breath & captured his precious young heart, knowing deep in his soul, they would be 'best friends forever'. As the years rolled by, their friendship grew to one so beautiful & wholesome, making his secret harder to keep. You see the boy loved her so unconditionally, but fear of losing his best friend, kept the words on his lips, an unspoken declaration he would regret for 7 long years . She needs him more than ever now, & no matter how hard she fights, he won't make the same mistake twice. He will show her she was ALWAYS his to love.

Sylvie - Once upon time the new boy sat next me at school and was a pain in my ass. But I wouldn't change that day for the world, as from that day onward that boy owned every piece of my heart & I never wanted it back. He was my everything, which meant I was to scared to to tell him it had ALWAYS always been him. I couldn't bare to lose him, & that fear alone made sure I kept my lips sealed, burying my secret deep in my heart. I turned 16 & life changed. It dealt me a hand I could never have prepared for & I realised over the next 7 years, that life itself was cruel, hard & unforgiving. That sometimes the damaged are beyond saving & sadly that may even include myself.

Dean - Once upon a time I met a girl at a party & wow did she steal my breath. She was my light in the darkness that held me hostage, she was my peace in the world of chaos that raged around me, she was the innocence that I selfishly needed in my fight to defeat the demons that poisoned my mind. Loving her was my salvation, but it came at a heavy cost - I was destroying her. At what point do you accept that life has taken all you have to give? At what moment do you grasp your fate with both hands, knowing it will be the most selfless act of your life?

Wrapped within the tragic layers of these 3 truly amazing characters is pain, hurt & so many regrets. Regrets that the best just wasn't enough to mend the broken, that fear itself ruled the heart, changing the course of what could have been & that sometimes love, well love can simply destroy people too. At times it really did tear at my heart as these three lives become fractured beyond words, all while fighting so damn hard to find the strength to love so deeply, accept forgiveness & find the peace they all deserve.

K Langston for me, not only delivered this whole story so perfectly, but she also managed to portray the true agony & despair of living & loving someone who will never win the war that rages so devastatingly within the darkest parts of their mind. She showed that strength can be found when you accept that sometimes life isn't fair, but you had no choice in the song it sings nor how it ends . And finally she showed that the heart knows what it knows, & time nor distance nor circumstance will stop it beating the rhythm it was destined to beat when it finds its matching half in the universe.

5 soul-searching stars from me.

Oh my goodness! Where do I start with this review? I was stalking this book for weeks before I had the privilege of winning an ARC! I have followed K Langston's author journey since the beginning and love the way that this author creates emotion and depth to her words. Her stories are real, creative and unique to the author and I love her writing style.

The blurb for Sylvie had me gripped and I knew it would be a story that would touch and quite possibly break my heart. But what I actually read was something that blew any expectations out of the water and ultimately exceeded them expectations in so many ways. I feel like during the beginning of the story, I witnessed the death of a girl's soul, someone who would always do what was either expected of her or would do things that she didn't feel she had a choice in, this was all then followed by the resurrection of a strong, powerful female character, mother, friend, and daughter, a woman who all female readers will be able to relate to in some way, shape or form. It really is genius how this author has approached a subject so sensitive, so raw and yet, so real.

Sylvie is not the only character who had me hooked. Because a wonderful, strong, charismatic, sensual man has provided safe, loving arms to this broken woman from the very beginning, even though it may have taken them a while to get there. In my opinion, Linc is the hero that readers dream of. This man bided his time, he saw Sylvie at her worst, loved her unconditionally, accepted not only Sylvie, but the package deal she came as, honestly, this man was an absolute pleasure to read and Sylvie is one VERY lucky woman to be loved by this man!

As a reader who lives for emotion, this journey of Sylvie pulled me head first into something absolutely soul-baring. I felt each scene, I cried, I cried so hard. I believed the story, I understood the concept and I lived this journey through each and every page. I honestly, would hate to give any of the story away. I truly feel that something as beautiful as this would be a disaster if spoilt for a reader as passionate about romance novels as myself. This story contained so many emotions, and the steamy scenes were written with passion, heat and class.

I have absolutely adored each and every written word of this beautiful story! THE FEELS, THE HEART, THE SOUL AND THE BEAUTIFUL EMOTION..my heart feels like it could just burst. Gripped from beginning to end, K Langston has delivered a fantastic contemporary romance that I will return to over and over again.

"I always knew" "How?" "Because when two hearts are meant to be one, they always find a way"~Linc

My heart and soul will never be the same, never! Both Linc and Sylvie (as well as Caroline) will live in me forever, maybe tucked away in a corner but nevertheless will stay with me forever. K Langston has written a gut wrenching, soul-changing, EPIC love story so filled with angst and darkness yet, at the same time, filled with hope, lightness and enduring love.

Linc and Sylvie have been friends, best friends, since they met in grade school. As they grow up, feelings start to change and evolve from friendship to something more but neither Linc nor Sylvie have the courage to let the other know that they feel "more", not wanting to risk the friendship they have cherished for so many years. When Sylvie meets Dean that fateful night at her 16th birthday party, it changes the course of three lives and three hearts...forever!

The ensuing years are filled with incredible highs and devastating lows until a heart-shattering loss nearly takes Sylvie down. If not for Caroline, Sylvie's reason for living, her misplaced guilt for things out of her control could have ended very badly. But Linc takes control and refuses to give up on Sylvie, forcing her to face the past and let go while being by her side every step of the way!

This book is not just a love story...it's a journey. A journey that wraps around your heart and squeezes it so hard, making you think you're never going to recover! And then the epically beautiful ending completely restores your heart and soul with a kiss and a sigh, leaving you with a warm and satisfied glow that you will never forget!

"You'll get through this, and what's waiting for you on the other side will be worth the climb. Trust the journey, baby, and trust me to help you get there."~Linc

It's taken me a long time to write this review (since I received the ARC) because I could not simply come up with the right words to describe the beautiful writing and I still don't think I can. This book will touch the hearts of many, it focuses on a subject that alot of people will find is close to their hearts (I know I certainly did). K. Langston has done an amazing job in writing about such a serious subject. This book is beautiful and I will recommend it to everyone. 2 words....simply beautiful xx

It took me a little bit to come back and write this review. I felt so much for this book that I am having a hard time trying to put into words how amazingly beautiful this story truly is. I can honestly say that I have never cried as long and as much as I did in this book and then cried more just because it was over. The author pulled at my heart from the very first line and never let up... not even at the end. This book and these characters will always have a special place in my heart. Sylvie is one of the strongest females I have ever had the pleasure of reading.

I don't want to give any spoilers.. but let me just say that I absolutely loved that we get the past and present in Sylvie's point of view throughout the whole book... I love how the past mixed in with the present.. after all the past is what shaped the future. I loved Sylvie and Linc so much. Linc will forever own my heart. This is by far my favorite K Langston book!

One of the many things that I took away from this story (just like the author mentions in the back of her book):
It's okay to hurt. To let go. To heal. To love.

"He loved me at my best. At my worst, and even when I didn't love myself. A love like this only comes along once in a lifetime. It might not be perfect but it's ours."

This quote sums up the love that Sylvie and Linc have for each other. No matter what was thrown their way, good, bad or ugly...they held on to that love.

It was an absolutely beautiful gut wrenching story that will stay with me forever.

This book… this book is simply amazing. After seeing teasers, I was so curious about this book and sweet baby Jesus, K. Langston delivered one hell of a story! It’s a breathtaking story of one woman’s journey through life, and how, with the love of an amazing man, she’s finally able to accept and learn from the choices she made in her past. This isn’t your typical coming of age story. It’s so much more. K. Langston does a fabulous job bringing the character’s emotions to life; so much so that I think anyone can relate to this book. It’s emotional and at times heartbreaking, but there’s also healing and happiness woven through this story. I loved Sylvie. She was resilient, kind, loving, but she was also young, and did her best in the situation she was in. I think all women can relate to that. And Linc…he’s so swoony! Go read this book ya’ll it’s amazing!

I was hooked from the start with this book. As in the music playlist at the beginning. This book was sad. It was beautiful. So many emotions from the beginning to the end. The love that Sylvie and Linc share is a love everyone wants. You just know that when it finally happens, it will be forever. Then you throw Dean in the mix and no matter how much I wanted to hate this deeply trouble man. I couldn't. I definitely recommend this standalone. Know you are in for a treat....5 stars!!

Sylvie is newest standalone from K. Langston and to say this book will break your heart is an understatement. This is a story of friendship, love, heartache, tragedy and a learning journey to love and happiness. We all know life isn't a bed of roses and for Sylvie this is most definitely true. Thats what i loved about this book i felt invested in all these characters even Dean, with all his faults he just wanted to be loved.

"Because when two hearts are meant to be one, they always find a way."

Sylvie and Linc have been best friend's since they were very young, as their friendship grew so did their love for each other but neither one had the courage to speak the words they felt. What happens next is truly heartbreaking and no i'm not saying and spoiling this part.
Years later finds Sylvie a single mum living in the same town as she grew up in her life is hard and a struggle day to day. Working in a diner the one person she never thought she would see again is sitting waiting for her to take his order.....

"Have you decided what you want yet?"
"Yeah, i know what i want, Sylvie."
"What'll it be?"
"YOU."

This story is told in a past/present format i know thats not to everyones taste but with this book it really worked. Leading us right up to the point of truths being told, it added more depth and feelings. And with this being such an emotional read it gives you a chance to get yourself together before the next emotional pull.

 photo 1487886942364_zpsyo2bes4g.jpg

I honestly couldn't put this book down the emotions i felt while reading had me in tears one minute and my heart in my mouth the next. To anger, devastation then happiness for how life can be so cruel one minute then beautiful the next.

Thank you K. Langston for delivering a beautiful contemporary romance, that has my heart aching and soaring again as i write this review.

There are no words to describe what I have just finished reading, but I will certainly try. It was one of the most breathtakingly heart-wrenching books I have read in a while. It was written so beautifully and so eloquently. K Langston hit it out of the ballpark with this one. She truly outdid herself. I see now why it her 2 years to finish it.

There is angst, heartache, pain, devotion, love, passion, and beauty in every page you read. Sylvie was such a beautiful and strong woman. She has truly been through the ringer, but she is so much stronger for everything she goes through, even if she doesn't see it herself at first.

Linc (sighs). What can I say about this devastatingly handsome man. He is passionate, obsessive, hopelessly devoted, and such a strong character. He was pure magic to read. The interactions between the two was just magical to read. His music is truly awe inspiring.

I don't want to give too much away. Just be prepared to neglect everything at home while you devour this masterpiece. I know I locked myself in my reading and left the kids with husband (lol). Just read it, you will definitely not regret one clicking this one. Can't wait for more of K Langston!!!

Happy Reading

**Carla's Four Star Review

**Warning-this book is a real tear jerker, so I suggest you buckle up and grab your tissues because you are definitely going to need them!

Sylvie and Linc met as children, and they instantly became friends. As time passed, their feelings for one another evolved, but, for fear of losing their friendship, neither one of them ever shared how they felt about one another. As the story progresses, Sylvie makes some impulsive choices that completely change the direction of not only her life but Linc's as well.

From the moment he met Sylvie, Linc knew that she was the one for him. However, fate intervenes breaking his heart. He tries his best to move on and let Sylvie go, but the heart wants what the heart wants. When tragedy strikes, Linc returns to his hometown determined to finally get the girl who he was always meant to be with.

I really connected to all of the characters in this book. When they were sad, I cried for them. When they were desperate, I felt it. When they were happy, I found myself smiling. I thought Sylvie was great! Even when she was at rock bottom, her strength and resilience were awe inspiring! And Linc? Well, he was just perfect. Everyone needs a Linc in their life! Then there was Dean. His situation broke my heart-I mean shattered that sucker into a million pieces.

This book is so much more than a story about first love. It is a dark and gritty read that carries a strong message. It is a story of heartbreak and despair, but also a story of healing and happiness. I strongly recommend "one clicking" this book now!

*****5 ‘Salvation Kisses’ STARS*****

Have you ever wanted something with everything in you, but you let fear talk you out of it?  Let fear tell you not to try, don’t rock the boat, you’ll fail?  K. Langston’s new release Sylvie is an incredibly raw and real story of a girl and a boy – best friends forever – and their heartbreaking and painful roadmap to forgiveness and love after longing, fear and the inexperience of youth had put them on another course.  I was immersed from page one in this beautiful journey of the human heart – past and present.

“Mama says love doesn’t always need a reason, it speaks from the irrational wisdom of the heart.”

Sylvie Dawson (h) and Lincoln/Linc Matthews (H) became forever friends one afternoon in grade school.  Thick as thieves, these two would grow up intuitively accepting each other and learning all there is to know about each other, always there for one another.  As the years pass and feelings grow it’s easy to listen to the little voice telling them not to jeopardize their friendship with romantic entanglement.  It wouldn’t be until Sylvie meets another man while starving for affection and belonging, that Linc would realize his mistake in listening to his fears.  Sylvie’s inability to tell Linc how she really feels plays right into the attention and affection Dean Winters is paying her.  Lost to the novelty of lust and new love it would be years before she realizes her mistake in listening to her fears – letting them lead her away from Linc.

“There are moments that mark our lives.  Moments when we realize nothing will ever be the same and time is divided into two parts.  Before and after.”

So.  Many.  Feels.  This story is an agonizing yet stunning story of young love unrealized, lost and then regained.  The multifaceted characters of Sylvie, Dean and Linc never failed to take my breath away, make me sob or delight me.  That feeling of impending heartache and doom killed me as I watched Linc and Sylvie succumb to the fears of ‘what if this doesn’t work’ and turn away from their feelings before they ever took a chance.  I felt like I was watching an accident knowing I could do nothing to stop it – eyes wide open waiting for impact unable to look away knowing there’d be carnage.  I understood why, they’re both so young and afraid to lose the friendship they have, but as I watched Sylvie fall in love with Dean a piece my heart died and I ached for both Linc and Sylvie knowing this was the beginning of the end – in so many different ways.  Add in that Sylvie truly loves Dean in a different but no less important way than Linc and then the complexities of the story starting to unfold through carefully paced flashbacks and I was devastated.  The narrative is so purposeful and focused, the feelings are a tangible entity, almost another character in their depth and sentiment; I spent a lot of time grabbing my chest, shaking my head and cursing at my kindle.  Sylvie is so lost in life, unsure what she’s supposed to do next, so anxious over the possibility that Linc will never love her.  Dean arrives in a perfect storm of Sylvie’s emotions and whether it’s meant to be or not she falls for a broken man that hides his problems all too well – for the time being.  The triangle of anger, hurt, love and longing from these three as they push and pull each other apart shows the insecurities, guilt and shame each of them carry in different and harmful ways.  Ultimately, Sylvie is not just a second chance love story, it’s a LIFE story.  It’s ugly and beautiful and hard to take; tender and romantic and tear-jerking.  A story of regretting your choices, not letting the past define your future, learning from your mistakes, forgiving yourself and taking a chance on the biggest gift of all – love…even when you think you don’t deserve it.

“Sometimes, the most important lessons in life are the ones we learn the hard way.”

An evocative love story that seemingly died before it lived only to see that love always prevails if only you have the courage to believe in yourself, it left me euphoric and drunk on the power of a tale I didn’t expect and adored all the more for its raw heartfelt messages.  A love hard fought…and won.

“I swear, every time our lips touch I can taste the next sixty years of my life.”
