‘Tears are where memories go when they don’t want to be forgotten. We’re all just memories in the end.’
Tiluna lived alone, in a lighthouse lost at sea. And every night, under that silver sky of stars, she would sit atop her lighthouse home and search the far blue sea. But of what she was searching for she never really knew, except that it was very important that she should keep looking.
‘The Tale of Tiluna’ is a heartfelt story of universal themes. An endearing tale for young and old alike.
The Tale of Tiluna reads like a modern fable—simple in structure, yet rich with meaning. The story offers approachable wisdom layered with universal truths.
It’s the kind of book that lingers—subtle, thoughtful, and ideal for anyone who enjoys stories that whisper their truths rather than shout them. A short, beautiful read with the heart of a fable and the soul of a philosopher.
My favorite quote “Tears are where memories go when they don’t want to be forgotten.”
I won this book through the GoodReads giveaway. I didn’t know anything about it as most of the books I enter the giveaway for however Im very thankful that I won this. Reading this book you have to have an open mind about life in general if you are stuck in your ways this might not be for you but I would still give it a try. You never know if the message of this book will change your point of view. The message was absolutely incredible I am sad that it ended and was a very fast read but I understood why it ended the way it did.
Thank you Goodreads for this giveaway. This tale is full of wisdom. It touches many subjects such as love, friendship loss, greed and hope. A girl in a lighthouse spots a person that made her his imaginary friend. I loved this book and their journey can teach children and adults lessons of life. I highly recommend this beautifully written tale.
GIVEAWAY. As adults we just keep going depending on what we need at the time never slowing down to see what we have lost. Tiluna sits in her lighthouse looking for lost things or lost people but soon she realizes that she has been lost as well. This was a quick read but it leaves you remembering things in life that we might have forgot.
I'm not usually one for this type of book, but this one completely sucked me in and kept me intrigued to the very end. The author has built a world that feels so real and lived-in, and the character development is fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it to others.
I got this book for free and everyone should read it. It contains reminders of what “grownups” forget and small anecdotes that should also be remembered.
Giveaway. I felt like this book was tonally confused. When I started reading it I thought I accidently got a children's book, but according to the current tags, it is not. So, who is this for? The Tale of Tiluna felt heavily inspired by The Little Prince, but lack any emotional connection. At least it was less depressing than The Little Prince.
