CL has lived all over the world and has a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, minoring in Psychology and Forensics. Which means you don't want to cross her because she knows how and where to hide a body so it's never found! She proudly admits to hearing voices in her head, but at times, her characters' impromptu visits can be rude and annoying. Thankfully, she has adequate patience for their shenanigans and can out ninja them any day of the week.

★✩★✩ 4 Short Yet Oh-so-Dirty Stars

Sex is important in a relationship, and if you aren't feeling it and they don't wanna try to please you, then something's got to give.
I am usually drawn to longer books but there is something to be said about a collection of short stories. You can either sit and read the whole thing through or it can come in handy if your just looking for a quick romp ~ pop the book open pick a story and indulge your dirty side. Either way, this was a nice collection. Eleven unique stories, all with different characters and different kinks; from scorned lovers looking for a little healing, what really goes on in the dark corners of a library, a husband and wife just looking to reconnect, and all the way to picking up a guy in Home Depot- this collection dives into them all. Hott and sexy with out going to overboard; not that I would have minded that, I like my kink a little on the raunchy side. Some of them got a little dirtier than other, while some were actually kinda sweet... well, as sweet as sex gets ;)
There was pretty much something for everyone and a fab way to pass the time if you looking for something light and not so heavy on the angst.
She collapsed on his chest, panting, and trembling and then rolled off of him onto the cold ground. Their hair was littered with leaves and snowflakes, knees dirty, cheeks flushed, and smiles that could make anyone jealous. Complete bliss.

This is a collection of 11 short fiction tales delving into steamy romance. The plots are all unique and different from each other, as are the characters. The theme is predominantly about the role physical attraction and contentment plays in any and all relationships. Although one does not get acquainted enough with the characters as in a full-length romance novel, and does not get to be able to empathise with them and understand their motives and reasonings, the short story collection has its own advantage. The stories are not related, and so one can pick off and get on with the book at any point.
The stories ranged from talking about people who have seen the worst of love - the spurning and the rejection and how they seek solace, murky and dark secrets from inside a library, a married couple looking to rekindle what they lost and so on. This promising to being a hot romance collection, delivered what it was meant for. I would recommend this book to lovers of explicit and steamy romance books.

Clandestine Trysts is one of the most burning hot collections of erotica that I've had the greatest pleasure of reading. This is truly not for the younger members of the Imprint audience. Reading this totally makes me wish that my book wife had given the mated pairs in her series some sizzling time together. I gotta say that these short stories made my morning coffee cold in comparison. The library scene and the lady in the hardware store? The words seemed to just burn up the pages with each turn. So damn mouth-watering and makes me want more erotica from this author, because she got down and dirty with it.
As a bonus, I'll point out that she rendered me helpless with the Angel Troubles short story. Anything with yuri is one of my biggest weakness and has been since I was 14. And I'd be okay with her exploiting it in future titles, whether it's sweet and innocent or out-and-out explicit. If I had ten thumbs, they'd all be up. But since I got two, that's how I feel about this!

Clandestine Trysts is a collection of steamy short stories from the always fantastic C.L. Foster. There are eleven stories included; something for everyone. This was a quick and enjoyable read for me, an easy way to escape for an afternoon. Each and every story was well written, had characters you wanted to learn more about and steamy encounters you didn't want to end. The romance lover in me was sated, that is for sure.
My favorite story, by far, though, is Angel Problems. I want more about these characters, especially Landon. Pretty please, C.L., can we get more Landon in our lives? Soonish? Please? I will beg and send cookies if necessary. This was a fantastic collection and I highly recommend it to those who enjoy a steamy read. Buy this book-you won't be sorry.
