Although this book had moments of brilliance, for the most part, I didn't like it. That's not to say that it was horrible, but it just didn't work for me.

Giving this one: 2 stars.

Had she not pressed him about meeting his family, he would have wasted another five years of her life. He didn't deserve a happily ever after unless Shontae got one as well. Why would the author invest so much time in Shontae's story and allow her to be brutalized by Gawain's family like that? Calling her a hoodrat and making derogatory remarks. He didn't even defend her. In fact, he told her to sit there and made her take it. Then, the low-life pos had the nerve to dump her. Then, Olivia goes even further into the degradation of Shontae and has her ask him if he loved her. Nah, fam. I feel victimized. The only thing he did was reinforce her belief that she isn't good enough to be with a man of his classless status. This is no hero to root for. I'm sorry I couldn't leave a negative star review.

Mixed Feelings- BRAB ONLINE BOOK CLUB

I was anxious to start this series based on other books I've read by this author; I must say I was disappointed. I tried to fit this into a genre, and came up with Romantic Comedy; except it was not very funny.

The premise of the main male character, rich, handsome but went online to find a wife. The female character rich, beautiful, bright wanted the same thing, also sought an online relationship. The dialogue was over the top, redundant and just plain silly at times.

I wished that I could have liked it because I really like this author.

A Knight Courts His Lady

David aka Dawson is getting tired of his playboy ways and decided to take a new route to his happily ever after. Halley aka Guinevere has been luckier in her professional life than in her romantic life until meets David. This is the way to not rush into meeting your love match. Side note: I kinda liked Shontae.

Enjoyable read

I absolutely love the premise of this book! The characters got to know each other in a fundamental way; emotionally. They meet and fall in love online without ever seeing each other, even fell in love BEFORE they knew they were different races. The topic is very relevant with online dating sites so prevalent these days so this piqued my interest alone. Adding the IMs was genius! I felt like a voyeur looking in on someone's personal messages.

The dialogue was witty and although it was online, the couple's instant connection could be felt just by their conversation alone. Kudos to the author for writing a very good love story!

Don't know if it was just my copy (not penalizing the author) but a couple of pages had the instant messages superimposed over the regular dialogue.
