The Catechism Handbook by Father Oscar Lukefahr is a brief, but succinct, summary of the immensely more dense Catechism of the Catholic Church. This book may be not as well-known as the Compendium, and certainly is not a valid replacement of the aforementioned Catechism, but it is still a fine, well-written summary of the beliefs of the Catholic Church. The book is easily accessible and readable for anybody who is keenly interested in learning more about the Catholic faith.
