Wolf shifter Dashiel Battle has always known that Isadora Mosswood is a rebel, a rule breaker, a perpetual thorn in his paw...but is she also the greatest traitor that the shifter nation has ever known? Shocking new evidence seems to indicate that she's been secretly collaborating with a group of humans who were conducting experiments on shifters. When she's confronted, Isadora doesn't explain or defend herself - she goes on the run. Dash has no choice but to hunt her down, but as soon as he catches up to her, he discovers that someone's painted a big fat target on both of their hides. Can he keep the fiery tempered lynx shifter alive long enough to bring her to justice, and can he resist his growing attraction to the criminal who's vowed to flout the system for as long as she lives?
Georgette St. Clair writes hot, sexy romances starring Alpha heroes. The road to love may be rocky and fraught with peril (and humor and scorchtastic sex and healthy heapings of snark), but her shifters will stop at nothing to claim the women they love.
Georgette has worn many hats in life: newspaper reporter, EMT, internet marketer, cocktail waitress, temp, nurse’s aide (not in chronological order).
When she’s not rescuing fur-babies, she spends her days in a fantasy universe where she nudges her smart-mouthed, take-no-gruff heroines onto paths which will set them on a collision course with true love.
How exciting that these two finally get their story! They are some of my favorite characters since she loves to rebel and needle him and he loves that everything is in its place. Together they beat the bad guys, pick up a few hitch hikers, effect change in the shifter nation and find their own HEA. And that’s just Tuesday! The author made this couple fun and heartwarming and I loved and laughed through every page. I can’t wait to see what she brings my way next!
Continuing the storyline of the human's stealing shifters & doing tests on them. If you haven't read the other books in this Series, I suggest that you go back & read them. Yes these books can be standalone with a HEA. But you won't know who people / shifters are & what's going on if you don't.
Isadora, a lynx shifter, has wealthy, snobby, ignorant parents! Once she became a teenager she started acting out & died her hair multiple colors & dressed like a Goth. It made her parents crazy! They focused on Diana the 'good' daughter & kept Isadora at bay by giving her money. She's bff's with Karen. Right now she's into something but no one knows exactly what! They think she's working with humans. It's making Dash crazy!!!
Dash Battle is the nephew of the Alpha of Timber Valley Pack. And Steele's cousin, he's married to Karen & is living in her hometown. Dash is a straight laced, by the book cop. And Isadora is a complete & total brat, & she does everything in her power to mess with Dash. Like letting him arrest her, then getting out of the handcuffs, & running. She frustrates the Hell out of him! But is there more to it?
Great story, of course it's about Kinky Shifters!! What else could a girl want?!?! LMAO
This one surprised me. Compared to the rest of the series, this book is plot based. Isadora and Dash are the main couple, and they have sex for the first time over halfway until the book. I genuinely wasn't expecting that. Unfortunately that's where the surprises end. The mole was obvious. You mention a room full of all these important men and the secretary, it's going to be her. The "twist" was also predictable and it made Isadora and Dash seem really stupid. The Eastern European labs were destroyed with no test subjects surviving, but testing was successful in turning humans into shifters and the main guy can't be identified. Oh look, a man who says he survived the european labs, hides near hobo camps but doesn't really interact with people. Oh I know, this man must be an innocent victim and I'll trust him. He totally isn't the bad guy from the labs where NO-ONE SURVIVED. Come on. This book is definitely my favourite of the series, but there was minimal effort in making the plot remotely surprising.
this book is the best so far in this series. I really liked it. it has closed so many questions from the previous books, like who was the real bad guy. Isadora was such an awesome badass, I fall in love with her in the third book. she was smart always thinking before acting and not afraid to kick some ass. at the beginning, I kinda felt bad for disliking Dash, because of his previous behavior. but as I read in to him and got the know him better, I fall in love. this dude such an handsome and caring man, who took the matters to his own hands to protect the woman he loved. and lets mention the moment he handcuffed her, I was like "Ye, give me that kinky staff you guys!" she could shift and run, but she didn't and it was really funny, when he found out that she could.
what can I say, I was in love with those characters in the previous book and happy that they got their happy ever ending:) I do recommend it!
Absolutely crazy fun drama I think this story is my favorite so far I'm not sure if it's because Isabel the links is such a crazy character and so tough then I just love her she is absolutely phenomenal phenomenal as a character she's spontaneous and a bit on the crazy side so I guess that's why I like her. This part of the story or this one kind of wraps up that underlining story that has been going on in the last three other books so you can finally get kind of an answer to that underlining story which is great the whole story is just really good Maxine does a wonderful job with her voices and these characters I just enjoyed this story so much like I said I think this one was my absolute favorite out of all of them so far.
3.75 stars This was much better than the other books in this series I've read so far. I really liked Dash and Isadora. My problem with this book is that -in my opinion- it doesn't know what it wants to be... I don't know if I would call it a romance as such, because it is mostly plot driven - the romance feel secondary in comparison to everything else going on. As a romance, the actual interaction between the couple is minimal. As a mystery, it's interesting but the foreshadowing was very heavy handed, spoiling many of the upcoming "surprises". However, it was not a bad read and the narration by Maxine Mitchell was fantastic!
Finally the para military group is exposed and there is an end to that story line. But in the process Isadora, Karen's friend from the last book, is accused of treason to the shifter race. It could mean death. Dash, a law enforcement officer in Timber Valley seeks out to track her down but the two run into a lot of trouble on the way, including when they spend the night together in a motel. Isadora kind of surpises me in this book when she takes on the reponsibility for 2 children. Dash has a few surprises also. A good read.
I enjoyed this book. Its a little predictable on the romance front but after so many "will they wont they?" type books I found this quite comforting. I liked the addition of Sally and Thomas to the story, I think they were such good characters. Dash at the start was a little annoying with the whole ||why am I thinking about her?"|| thing but he did start to grow on me later in the book. If you want a quick romance with a lot of action this may be the book for you.
Lynx on the loose by Georgette St clair. Isadora is the shifter since book one that you feel in love with. Her sassiness alone and badass attitude was enough to get your attention. And good old reliable Dash the boy next door that was to good for her but not totally. This had been my favourite book of the series so far. But when the shoe dropped and you found out who the bad guy was I thought it was kind of predictable.
I am very happy that I purchased this book, this whole series actually in both ebook and audio formats. They are well written and preformed. I loved Isadora and Dash the most of any of the couples so far. The storyline is well paced and very engaging. Highly recommend!
I have submitted this review after listening to the audiobook of this title. (Audible Membership)
Isabella was a rebellious Gothic lynx shifter, doing petty crimes to drive a certain deputy mad. However, no one who knew her would believe she was in league with those that run illegal experiments on shape shifters. So why was she in the cross-hairs of the Marshalls?.
Prepare to be swept away by a gripping tale of suspense and mystery! This book will keep you guessing and second-guessing until the very end. You'll find yourself constantly asking, "Did she do it?" and "Could she really be guilty?" But fear not, all questions will be answered in a satisfying and shocking conclusion. Trust me, once you start reading, you won't be able to put it down!
Isadora, the perpetual mischief maker, is so much more than she is given credit for as she seeks justice for fellow shifters. Dash finally learns who and what she is capable in accomplishing.
Glad to read Isadora's story. She captured my attention since she was introduced as a side character, and it's good to see her happy! I like the couple's dynamic here too. Spunky and full of prejudices that of course get resolved...
So boring compared to the last ones, like this is not meant to be taken seriously. Stop trying to make it so serious lol. The worst one so far. This was a police chase entirely, and not even a silly one.
It wasn't the typical werewolf love story. It had an awesome kick ass female lead. And an interesting story line with a twist, and of cores the best thing a happy ending.
Super quick, easy read. I read this in about a little over an hour. Not a whole lot of romance but good romantic tension, good enough plot. Cute. Wraps up all story lines it opens.
A really super read and very imaginative writing. Kept me engrossed from the start throughout, quite frankly I didn't know what was coming next. A suspenseful read that was completely enjoyable.
I really enjoyed this book. With lots of action and adventure it’s a great read/listen. The characters have good personalities and a fair amount of humour. Great performance.
The twists, turns and all the excitement kept me on my toes. Goodness! This series just keeps getting better. I enjoyed going on this thrilling adventure with Dash and Isadora.
